A run down “ghost town” would be a great setting for LM4. Several buildings to explore, but be able to walk the streets as a “hub world” of sorts. Maybe unlock E. Gadd’s car as a quick-travel mechanism later in the game?
That or you combine travel mechanisms having them levels that once cleared are (semi)permanently unlocked (meaning that it’s like LM2 in having an “area” system) so it’s kind of open world (like LM3) and you can go to E. Gadd’s lab to redo an objective (so like LM3 you can explore the mansion objective, return to E. Gadd’s lab, next objective with the ability to redo an objective.

Luigi is absolutely getting his own movie. People saying that they're rushing these movies are completely ignoring the fact that they don't just come out of nowhere. Back in 2015, when Nintendo announced their deal with Universal to add their own section to each theme park? That wasn't the only deal. The two studios began planning a new franchise of Mario movies, including sequels and spin-offs. Every actor who was cast signed a contract stipulating that they were obligated to star in these projects. The actor's job was to stir up interest using psychology. In February 2022, Charlie Day talked about how his son was playing Luigi's Mansion and said he was interested in adapting it. Fast forward to March 2023. Not only is Day completely in favour of a Luigi movie, but one of the interviews with him and Chris Pratt had them talk about a hypothetical "Nintendo Cinematic Universe". When Pratt specifically mentions Luigi's Mansion, he and Day share a look. The Super Mario Bros Movie came out and we got videos, tweets, articles and posts about how it was teasing a Luigi movie, a Donkey Kong movie, what role Yoshi would play in the sequel, etc. This is exactly what Nintendo and Illumination want. Either way, this upcoming movie will be a win-win for Luigi fans. If it's a sequel, it'll undergo damage control in response to complaints about his screentime and he'll have equal focus to Mario. If it's a Luigi spin-off, we're getting a Luigi movie.
LM4 Wish: A prop hunt mode where you play as a Luigi ghost and have to hide in an object around the place while ghosts try and find you. If they find you, the game is over.

LM4 Wish: I want it to be as open world as possible, with an entire haunted city. There could be a lot of the things that you said in the video, but more, such as an office complex, hospital, arcade, casino, restaurant, etc. King boo could be found in a mansion on top of a hill, with a locked gate blocking your path, and you must search the city of ghosts to find the keys/key fragments in order to rescue Mario.
I was thinking the same lore of the cruise boat sucked into the Bermuda Triangle by King Boo with the power of the Atlantis Pearl in his crown as a new power amplifier.
It would be interesting to see a Luigi's Mansion game take the aspect of being able to explore outside of the mansion in full scale especially if they bring back multiple mansion from the 2nd game but without the mission mechanics that meant you had to come back while you were still trying to explore a mansion.

LM4 Wish: Idea 1: instead of a manison king boo makes a hunted town called "The Ghosty Town" and there will be lots of hunted places Luigi has to explore. I think that would be a cool idea because there can be a hunted Coffee Shop or a Hunted Ship or a Hunted... you get the idea. The potables are ENDLESS! Idea 2: When you beat the game you unlock a mode called "Multiplayer" where the second player could be Mario! and instead of Mario being captured Peach gets captured! (What? Everyone wanted the 2nd player to be Mario, RIGHT?) Edit: And maybe there can be 7 gems Luigi will have to collect all the gems to open up the mansions door. but the only way to find them is by going to the hunted places. And once you get to the top, king boo will see you and the final battle begins! in the first phase king boo will throw rocks at you and you have to hit them back at king boo to defeat him, and king boo will spawn ghost to try and stop you. In phase 2 king boo will have a new attack where he will make mini versions of himself that can slap you. phase 3 will be the coolest! King boos eyes will turn from purple to RED, and he can throw whole mentors! and he will be able to breath FIRE! and once you defeat him Mario will come out of the panting and hugs Luigi (of course) but then king boo comes back alive and he's angrier then EVER! but then once Mario and Luigi are about to get burned by King Boos fire the 7 gems form together into one GIANT gem! That defeats king boo and E Gadd comes out of his panting and gives Luigi a pat on the back. and then the mansion gets destroyed as Mario and Luigi walks back home. and E Gadd is going back to his lab.
overworld luigi's mansion. now imagine the space you're walking in a world full of ghost. maybe with npc's to talk to. or npc running to luigi for help because he's been a ghost hunter for quite awhile, so he could be just as popular as mario.
lm4 wish: Mario captured, again, with other side characters trapped in paintings every where. so its and big 3 story mansion until you reach the top, 4 - 5 hours to get to the top. then after fight king boo Mario's painting was a fake and you are sent several stories down and have save people, defeat bosses, and go on side quest to get money and important items. and there's a pluming system for fast travel and you need like a tool to fix that pipe for travel. and once at b1, the floor right before the first floor, boss fight against 'king boo' but it was a fake. king boo is actually powered up with crystals and you need to go to specific places to break the crystal and you will see that every floor had a crystal slot and that is connected to his and if you turn one off then the corresponding one gets shut off. once defeated Mario is revealed at the top and every one is saved, and there is a secret ending if you save everyone. that's it sorry its so long.
LM4 wish: The next game takes place inside Peach's castle just like in Super Mario 64. Some exploring room areas look identically similar to the game Super Mario 64 but in a twist have a spooky atmosphere on it. Having dry bones and bone goombas as areas enemies to guard. And bringing back from the first Luigi Mansion game (GameCube) old normal ghosts as wondering enemies in castle's rooms.
3 New LM4 wishes. A haunted pyramid and desert with a Pharaoh ghost, a haunted jungle with a caveman ghost, or a haunted ocean with a sea witch ghost. In the third wish, Luigi goes underwater for the first time in the series.

LM4 Wish: what if there was a parallel world to Luigi’s world which was the ghost world, it could be cool to discover where the ghosts actually come from, and there world would be similar to Luigi’s but could have some crazy physics like maybe in one area you could walk on the walls and ceiling, and in another area everything around Luigi would be alive from the plants to the future, but the craziest thing they could do with this, is that the games main gimmick would be that Luigi would somehow be able to turn himself into a ghost which could completely change things, for example the ghosts wouldn’t attack Luigi but instead talk to him maybe giving him hints on how to complete a specific puzzle or even give you a tip on how to find a bosses weak spot, also here’s the best idea I could come up with for the games title, Luigi’s Mansion parallel worlds or if they wanted to keep the 4 in there it could just be Luigi’s Mansion 4 Parallel worlds, pretty neat idea don’t you think😉😁
After 3 I always envisioned a haunted museum. It could be a very large sprawling building and still give a mansion feel like the hotel in 3. Museum would be great as a reasoning for lots of different areas with the different exhibit halls. You could have everything from a dinosaur area again to ancient Greece or Rome, oceans to space, mine, Egypt, etc. Can use about any theme they want and just say it is a museum exhibit. It would be like the hotel but fit better thematically. The ghosts and supernatural elements could also make it so it transports you to a more fully realized world within these exhibits too so while you're inside the museum it actually feel like you go to the bottom of the ocean and explorer a sunken ship, or travel to a space station or whatever else. Think it gives them the largest possible playground to do whatever they want within the game while staying within a given narrative and confined to a "mansion" space.
Luigi's Mansion 4 Wish:A straight up haunted kingdom, I know it sounds out there, but hey, why not, right? Maybe, it would use the various ideas you listed? I don't know, but the Castle would be a Mansion and Castle Hybrid. The entrance: A mirror, but it was shattered and you must collect all the pieces.
I think it should be set on a small island with a hotel resort, theme park, forest etc. Then make it like a MetroidVania, you get new abilities which opens up new areas and forces you to really explore and revisit old areas. What I didn’t like about LM3 was once you’d done a level there was very little reason to go back to it

I remember an idea i made for Luigi's Mansion 4. Just a fan idea. Like somehow King Boo escapes and steals a time stone or more from Sonic's Little Planet and sends Luigi back in time to Luigi's Mansion 1 Mansion but Luigi has to fight Time Ghost Bosses and normal Time Ghosts. The story starts with E.Gadd sending invitations and its a party but Luigi arrives 1st and gets sent back through time. Tbh I like the idea of yours about ghost trains and etc.
A Ghost Town would be really interesting, but I’d like to share my idea: Mario, Luigi, and Polterpup are invited to Peach’s Castle, and suddenly the power goes off in the castle and Luigi and Polterpup are willing to try to fix it, then Mario, Peach and the Toads are kidnapped once again. And King Boo, (or maybe a new final boss character) takes control of the castle, turning it into a haunted castle. I think a haunted castle would be a cool idea. But if not, then I’m sorry..
Lm4 wish- so what if you can buy different poltergusts for different areas, like you can the the Luigi’s mansion 3 one if you need to go through something, or the Luigi’s mansion 1 if you need you suck up ghosts, and you can level them up and once they are all max level, you can merge them to make the Luigi’s mansion 4 poltergust. Here are some ideas for Luigi's Mansion 4. STORY: Luigi and his friends are invited to a resort called Paradise Island, a place where fun is at its prime. However, King Boo disguised it as that to fool those into being inside of paintings. Luigi and Daisy get inside a car and drive off, to possibly somewhere safe as the ghosts start chasing them. After being in the clear, Prof. E. Gadd abducts them onto his big rig, AKA: his mobile base, and gives them two distinct Poltergusts. The Poltergust B-00 for Luigi, and the Poltergust MP for Daisy. This whole island is going to need a massive clean-up from the evil spirits around the place. And since this is an open world game, expect there to be MULTIPLE MANSIONS in this case. All with unique Guardian Ghosts based on that location or a theme based off a section of that mansion in question. Ghosts: Magent (DESCRIP: They are rather the basic of the bunch and are colored magenta. Not much is needed, HP: 25) Sledge (DESCRIP: They are big and very strong, but rather slow. Well the first game actually took place in a mansion. The second took place in several mansions. The third took place in a hotel. I gotta think of something much bigger and more versatile than that. Maybe a haunted cruise ship? Maybe a haunted skyscraper that’s Empire State Building esque? Maybe a museum? Maybe an indoor amusement park? I’m trying to think outside the box but it’s hard. I’m sure they are gonna want something that’s bigger than a hotel that’s indoors to give it that mansion authenticity. Perhaps a big apartment complex per chance except that’s too similar to the hotel.
LM4 Wish: I have the Idea that it is in a Different Dimension… where the Ghosts come from and Everything in this Dimension would make no sense I also have some Room Ideas Room 1 - an Infinite Hallway and to make it more Spooky it Rotates the more you go Room 2 - a Room with a Miniature Model Creepy Play Set and when you enter a Door you’re then IN that same Play Set Room 3 - an Empty Room with some Levers choose right you proceed choose wrong you get attacked by Ghosts or worse the Floor will collapse and Luigi will fall in a Void of Nothing
LM4 Wish: during the story, while Luigi is exploring the mansion with polterpup, Luigi finds a ghost, before he can get close to capture it, it goes inside polterpup and possesses him, turning him evil against Luigi, with seemingly the only way to stop it is to capture polterpup. So Luigi does that while looking sad he has to do this, and last being he goes to e. Gadd to find out how to remove the possessor from polterpup
LM4 wish: maybe it could be a massive mall with a food court, different stores, movie theater, and long dark eerie hallways. There could also be a glow in the dark golf court. Kinda would be like how five nights at Freddy’s security breach was but with the Nintendo charm into it
I think got a Luigi's Mansion movie would have one movie per game, with the first one having the Gooigi prototype like in the Luigi's Mansion 3DS remake, and if there's anything new in 2 HD for the switch, they'll have that in the sequel, and of course a completed Gooigi in the third.
LM4 wish: Luigi, instead of having Gooigi, has "Booigi" who can phase through walls and inspect areas without having the trouble of ghosts (almost like Spectator Mode in Minecraft) and there could be one or a few missions where you have to _possess_ a toad or something along those lines, to try and bring him to Luigi, and once you bring them back, they can have their own kind of game modes and you can play as them, like captain toad levels in Super Mario 3D World.
LM4: A huge Haunted Space Shuttle or space center, maybe even something related to Rosalina. Just imagine if King Boo took over her Observatory, and you would have to save the corrupted Lumas, and eventually Rosalina herself!
LM4 Wish: I was thinking it was gonna be like a huge residential area with the huge mansion in the middle. I was also hoping they would touch on the concept of different dimensions where Luigi can go to the other side to do stuff there and change stuff in the real world. Think of The Upside Down from stranger things but whatever you do in there has an impact on the real world.
I would like to see the next game take place on a tropical island or something. A resort similar to Mario sunshine with plenty of places to openly explore on the island. It would be neat to see Luigi and daisy going on this vacation together and she gets kidnapped or something
LM4 Wish: Could be cool if Luigi's Mansion 4 is set in some kinda off old theme park. Where all the level will have it own theme, kinda like in Luigi's Mansion 3. Where we have a pirate floor, then a Castle floor, then a Museum floor and so on.. So in this old theme park, could be a pirate cave area. A castle area (Maybe Bower castle). And even a scazry creppy Mansion could be in this theme park.
LM4 Wish: Here's a fun idea, what if Luigi was on a haunted cruise ship and as the story progresses the ship docks at different places allowing you to explore them as well. To make things more interesting there could be a time limit for how long the ship stays docked meaning you have to get back on before times up kind of like Pikmen. Another wild idea for the world is Luigi is on a haunted space station. Fell free to add your thoughts! 🙂
LM4 Wish You touched base on a haunted cruise ship theme which is the way I’ve always thought they could take. You have your more contained gameplay and shenanigans on the cruise ship, but you’ll also travel to several different islands with things that are haunted. We could start the game off at a smaller haunted house and then find out King Boo has taken over the mushroom kingdom. Now Luigi has to hop aboard a haunted cruise ship and journey back to the mushroom kingdom while cleansing these islands along the way of their ghostly visitors. It could have an island that’s like an amusement park world or a sand world with monsters like mummies instead of ghosts. Let’s expand on Luigi a little and make him more than just a ghostbuster, but a full blown monster hunter.
LM4 Wish: We go back to explore the original mansion with all of the first Portrait Ghosts but with plenty of horror twists like King Boo actually brain washing even the friendly ones like Madame Clairvoya or Uncle Grimmly; the mansion actually transforming Brawl-style to get new rooms and even expanding on the ghost family like adding a aunt ghost, a grandpa ghost (which could even be the lost hunter), a maid ghost (add lore for her to be in love with Shivers idk) or even other Mushroom Kingdom ghosts other than Boos; an evolved Poltergust with all the powers like the Elements, Strobulb and Dark Light, maybe even throw the Plunger in as well. Just imagine an HD look at the first mansion and even at the possibility of it being even bigger and more dangerous. Doesn't even have to be the actual mansion since Luigi lives in his house there now, but the mansion was originally an illusion so...
Haunted prison were Mario captured in a haunted prison and you have to go around the prison trying to find keys so you can open the way to the roof to fight king boo and the bosses can be like a tough prisoner,guards,military maybe
Truthfully, I feel like if a Nintendo decided to do Luigi‘s mansion 4. I think it would be a great idea to have it on a cruise ship. There’s the fact that once everything goes pear-shaped, the ship is going to be in the middle of the ocean, so there’s already a reason for why Luigi can’t just leave. Cruise ships already have multiple things added to them besides what you would expect. You got the standard workings of a ship. A casino, Shopping mall, Theater, Just the name a few and that’s not even getting into a water park. Which also leads into the next part plenty of reasons for water to be a hazard in the place, especially if they want to re-introduce Gooigi. And I think it would actually be really interesting if this time around. Luigi is ready. He knows this is going to be another one of those adventures. He already has the vacuum cleaner in his luggage, and he is ready and paranoid about it. And it would actually be Mario that would take the poltergust away to try to get his brother to relax. There you go a chunk of it already mapped out.
LM4 wish: What if there was some kind of skill tree that gave Luigi and his gear new abilities and boosts? Maybe the Poltergust gains more reach or can unleash a more powerful attack. Maybe gain brand-new attachments for the flashlight that can destroy certain objects or knock back ghosts. You can use the cash you collect or maybe some new collectible to unlock this stuff.
LM4 Wish: Princess Daisy's the main victim (Mario's not captured at all), and it's basically 15% a love story. Also you fight alongside ghosts against monsters. Gabriel Rolland

LM4 wish: I think it would be pretty cool if we had a platformer( like normal Mario) but Luigi through the levels would have to suck up ghosts to clear the level. Also, would like to see some type of mini game like the Luigi mansion mini games from Nintendoland game.
LM4 wish It would be fun to have it work as a mix of both LM3 and LM2 (Dark Moon) where like you said instead of 5 mansions, various big areas but that it starts off in a mansion and after you complete all off the missions you can run around like in LM3 and ypu choose which location to investigate next like in Mario Odyssey and when you finish all off the missions you can run around in the open world because there was some mechanic blocking you like fog or something (like in LM2)

LM4 Wish: Instead of the place being specifically created/prepared as a trap for King Boo's enemies, like in 1 and 3, I would like it to be an existing place with actual history, like in 2. Also, it would be nice if King Boo had more goals than just revenge. Yes, I wrote that before, but I messed up the LM4. Oh, and I would like a single not too big mansion, but full of haunted objects that suck you in and serve as separate worlds to explore, like a clock, a toy train, a ship in a bottle ...
LM4 wish : I think they should make a village with different houses or areas which are related to some cultures, there would be a Mexican cemetery with day of the dead theme and a Catrina at the end crying in front of the tomb, there would be a Japanese garden with a Samourai ghost planting weird plants that attack you, a circus with a crazy clown,... I think something that could really look like a village with the different elements, but like in LM3, each house or building or area would have a different theme. We had the Egyptian theme in LM3, now we'll have the Mexican theme and the Japanese theme. I also think that the game should learn from the 3 previous games, it would have the different mansions or areas from the 2nd, the different themes from the 3rd, but the 1st game had something slightly more dramatic to it and the ghosts had a story. I can imagine the different areas having something dramatic to them. You wouldn't just capture the ghosts but help lost spirits to go in peace.

Dude, Luigi’s Mansion Four must be placed in a town or a village, there could be a lot of amazing stuff to explore or play, and you could give different themes to each stage but keeping the atmosphere of a lonely village
Lm4wish: the theater ghost from luigi's mansion 3 returns and want to up his film career. He uses luigie as the star of his upcoming movies but, oh no, a new antagonist shows up and us ruining the movies, you have to help by being sucked into the movies. I think nintendo could do a lot of fun things with this, like costumes, wacky movie designs, and even crazier bosses.

Luigi is absolutely getting his own movie. People saying that they're rushing these movies are completely ignoring the fact that they don't just come out of nowhere. Back in 2015, when Nintendo announced their deal with Universal to add their own section to each theme park? That wasn't the only deal. The two studios began planning a new franchise of Mario movies, including sequels and spin-offs. Every actor who was cast signed a contract stipulating that they were obligated to star in these projects.
The actor's job was to stir up interest using psychology. In February 2022, Charlie Day talked about how his son was playing Luigi's Mansion and said he was interested in adapting it. Fast forward to March 2023. Not only is Day completely in favour of a Luigi movie, but one of the interviews with him and Chris Pratt had them talk about a hypothetical "Nintendo Cinematic Universe". When Pratt specifically mentions Luigi's Mansion, he and Day share a look.
The Super Mario Bros Movie came out and we got videos, tweets, articles and posts about how it was teasing a Luigi movie, a Donkey Kong movie, what role Yoshi would play in the sequel, etc. This is exactly what Nintendo and Illumination want.
Either way, this upcoming movie will be a win-win for Luigi fans. If it's a sequel, it'll undergo damage control in response to complaints about his screentime and he'll have equal focus to Mario. If it's a Luigi spin-off, we're getting a Luigi movie.
So either way, we're getting Luigi. Nice.
LM4 Wish: A prop hunt mode where you play as a Luigi ghost and have to hide in an object around the place while ghosts try and find you. If they find you, the game is over.

Dang right about the atmosphere, LM3 just didn’t really have that “spooky” feeling the earlier games did. It felt like the devs were trying to hard.
LM4 Wish: I want it to be as open world as possible, with an entire haunted city. There could be a lot of the things that you said in the video, but more, such as an office complex, hospital, arcade, casino, restaurant, etc. King boo could be found in a mansion on top of a hill, with a locked gate blocking your path, and you must search the city of ghosts to find the keys/key fragments in order to rescue Mario.

It would be interesting to see a Luigi's Mansion game take the aspect of being able to explore outside of the mansion in full scale especially if they bring back multiple mansion from the 2nd game but without the mission mechanics that meant you had to come back while you were still trying to explore a mansion.

Idea 2: When you beat the game you unlock a mode called "Multiplayer" where the second player could be Mario! and instead of Mario being captured Peach gets captured! (What? Everyone wanted the 2nd player to be Mario, RIGHT?)
Edit: And maybe there can be 7 gems Luigi will have to collect all the gems to open up the mansions door. but the only way to find them is by going to the hunted places. And once you get to the top, king boo will see you and the final battle begins! in the first phase king boo will throw rocks at you and you have to hit them back at king boo to defeat him, and king boo will spawn ghost to try and stop you. In phase 2 king boo will have a new attack where he will make mini versions of himself that can slap you. phase 3 will be the coolest! King boos eyes will turn from purple to RED, and he can throw whole mentors! and he will be able to breath FIRE! and once you defeat him Mario will come out of the panting and hugs Luigi (of course) but then king boo comes back alive and he's angrier then EVER! but then once Mario and Luigi are about to get burned by King Boos fire the 7 gems form together into one GIANT gem! That defeats king boo and E Gadd comes out of his panting and gives Luigi a pat on the back. and then the mansion gets destroyed as Mario and Luigi walks back home. and E Gadd is going back to his lab.

overworld luigi's mansion. now imagine the space you're walking in a world full of ghost. maybe with npc's to talk to. or npc running to luigi for help because he's been a ghost hunter for quite awhile, so he could be just as popular as mario.
lm4 wish: Mario captured, again, with other side characters trapped in paintings every where. so its and big 3 story mansion until you reach the top, 4 - 5 hours to get to the top. then after fight king boo Mario's painting was a fake and you are sent several stories down and have save people, defeat bosses, and go on side quest to get money and important items. and there's a pluming system for fast travel and you need like a tool to fix that pipe for travel. and once at b1, the floor right before the first floor, boss fight against 'king boo' but it was a fake. king boo is actually powered up with crystals and you need to go to specific places to break the crystal and you will see that every floor had a crystal slot and that is connected to his and if you turn one off then the corresponding one gets shut off. once defeated Mario is revealed at the top and every one is saved, and there is a secret ending if you save everyone. that's it sorry its so long.
LM4 wish: The next game takes place inside Peach's castle just like in Super Mario 64. Some exploring room areas look identically similar to the game Super Mario 64 but in a twist have a spooky atmosphere on it. Having dry bones and bone goombas as areas enemies to guard.

LM4 Wish: what if there was a parallel world to Luigi’s world which was the ghost world, it could be cool to discover where the ghosts actually come from, and there world would be similar to Luigi’s but could have some crazy physics like maybe in one area you could walk on the walls and ceiling, and in another area everything around Luigi would be alive from the plants to the future, but the craziest thing they could do with this, is that the games main gimmick would be that Luigi would somehow be able to turn himself into a ghost which could completely change things, for example the ghosts wouldn’t attack Luigi but instead talk to him maybe giving him hints on how to complete a specific puzzle or even give you a tip on how to find a bosses weak spot, also here’s the best idea I could come up with for the games title, Luigi’s Mansion parallel worlds or if they wanted to keep the 4 in there it could just be Luigi’s Mansion 4 Parallel worlds, pretty neat idea don’t you think😉😁
After 3 I always envisioned a haunted museum. It could be a very large sprawling building and still give a mansion feel like the hotel in 3. Museum would be great as a reasoning for lots of different areas with the different exhibit halls. You could have everything from a dinosaur area again to ancient Greece or Rome, oceans to space, mine, Egypt, etc. Can use about any theme they want and just say it is a museum exhibit. It would be like the hotel but fit better thematically. The ghosts and supernatural elements could also make it so it transports you to a more fully realized world within these exhibits too so while you're inside the museum it actually feel like you go to the bottom of the ocean and explorer a sunken ship, or travel to a space station or whatever else. Think it gives them the largest possible playground to do whatever they want within the game while staying within a given narrative and confined to a "mansion" space.

I remember an idea i made for Luigi's Mansion 4. Just a fan idea. Like somehow King Boo escapes and steals a time stone or more from Sonic's Little Planet and sends Luigi back in time to Luigi's Mansion 1 Mansion but Luigi has to fight Time Ghost Bosses and normal Time Ghosts. The story starts with E.Gadd sending invitations and its a party but Luigi arrives 1st and gets sent back through time. Tbh I like the idea of yours about ghost trains and etc.

A Ghost Town would be really interesting, but I’d like to share my idea:
Mario, Luigi, and Polterpup are invited to Peach’s Castle, and suddenly the power goes off in the castle and Luigi and Polterpup are willing to try to fix it, then Mario, Peach and the Toads are kidnapped once again. And King Boo, (or maybe a new final boss character) takes control of the castle, turning it into a haunted castle.
I think a haunted castle would be a cool idea. But if not, then I’m sorry..
Lm4 wish- so what if you can buy different poltergusts for different areas, like you can the the Luigi’s mansion 3 one if you need to go through something, or the Luigi’s mansion 1 if you need you suck up ghosts, and you can level them up and once they are all max level, you can merge them to make the Luigi’s mansion 4 poltergust. Another idea is what if the mushroom kingdom gets haunted? It would be cool to have the whole game base around the mushroom kingdom
Here are some ideas for Luigi's Mansion 4.
STORY: Luigi and his friends are invited to a resort called Paradise Island, a place where fun is at its prime. However, King Boo disguised it as that to fool those into being inside of paintings. Luigi and Daisy get inside a car and drive off, to possibly somewhere safe as the ghosts start chasing them. After being in the clear, Prof. E. Gadd abducts them onto his big rig, AKA: his mobile base, and gives them two distinct Poltergusts. The Poltergust B-00 for Luigi, and the Poltergust MP for Daisy. This whole island is going to need a massive clean-up from the evil spirits around the place. And since this is an open world game, expect there to be MULTIPLE MANSIONS in this case. All with unique Guardian Ghosts based on that location or a theme based off a section of that mansion in question.

Magent (DESCRIP: They are rather the basic of the bunch and are colored magenta. Not much is needed, HP: 25)
Sledge (DESCRIP: They are big and very strong, but rather slow. Always make sure to move out of the way, HP: 70)
Seeker (DESCRIP: They are slinky and are so skinny, to the point where they hide in the smallest of locations, HP: 20)
Sneaker (DESCRIP: They are spooky and like to scare anyone they come across, even their fellow ghosts, HP: 50)
Oozer (DESCRIP: They love making splotches of slime everywhere, and are conciderably gooey, HP: 25)
Muncher (DESCRIP: They are big, but their mouths are bigger, swallowing things with ease, HP: 100)

Well the first game actually took place in a mansion. The second took place in several mansions. The third took place in a hotel. I gotta think of something much bigger and more versatile than that. Maybe a haunted cruise ship? Maybe a haunted skyscraper that’s Empire State Building esque? Maybe a museum? Maybe an indoor amusement park? I’m trying to think outside the box but it’s hard. I’m sure they are gonna want something that’s bigger than a hotel that’s indoors to give it that mansion authenticity. Perhaps a big apartment complex per chance except that’s too similar to the hotel.

LM4 Wish: during the story, while Luigi is exploring the mansion with polterpup, Luigi finds a ghost, before he can get close to capture it, it goes inside polterpup and possesses him, turning him evil against Luigi, with seemingly the only way to stop it is to capture polterpup. So Luigi does that while looking sad he has to do this, and last being he goes to e. Gadd to find out how to remove the possessor from polterpup
LM4 wish: maybe it could be a massive mall with a food court, different stores, movie theater, and long dark eerie hallways. There could also be a glow in the dark golf court. Kinda would be like how five nights at Freddy’s security breach was but with the Nintendo charm into it
I think got a Luigi's Mansion movie would have one movie per game, with the first one having the Gooigi prototype like in the Luigi's Mansion 3DS remake, and if there's anything new in 2 HD for the switch, they'll have that in the sequel, and of course a completed Gooigi in the third.

LM4 wish: Luigi, instead of having Gooigi, has "Booigi" who can phase through walls and inspect areas without having the trouble of ghosts (almost like Spectator Mode in Minecraft) and there could be one or a few missions where you have to _possess_ a toad or something along those lines, to try and bring him to Luigi, and once you bring them back, they can have their own kind of game modes and you can play as them, like captain toad levels in Super Mario 3D World.
LM4: A huge Haunted Space Shuttle or space center, maybe even something related to Rosalina. Just imagine if King Boo took over her Observatory, and you would have to save the corrupted Lumas, and eventually Rosalina herself!
LM4 Wish: I was thinking it was gonna be like a huge residential area with the huge mansion in the middle.
I was also hoping they would touch on the concept of different dimensions where Luigi can go to the other side to do stuff there and change stuff in the real world. Think of The Upside Down from stranger things but whatever you do in there has an impact on the real world.

LM4 Wish: Could be cool if Luigi's Mansion 4 is set in some kinda off old theme park.
Where all the level will have it own theme, kinda like in Luigi's Mansion 3. Where we have a pirate floor, then a Castle floor, then a Museum floor and so on.. So in this old theme park, could be a pirate cave area. A castle area (Maybe Bower castle). And even a scazry creppy Mansion could be in this theme park.
LM4 Wish: Here's a fun idea, what if Luigi was on a haunted cruise ship and as the story progresses the ship docks at different places allowing you to explore them as well. To make things more interesting there could be a time limit for how long the ship stays docked meaning you have to get back on before times up kind of like Pikmen. Another wild idea for the world is Luigi is on a haunted space station. Fell free to add your thoughts! 🙂

You touched base on a haunted cruise ship theme which is the way I’ve always thought they could take. You have your more contained gameplay and shenanigans on the cruise ship, but you’ll also travel to several different islands with things that are haunted. We could start the game off at a smaller haunted house and then find out King Boo has taken over the mushroom kingdom. Now Luigi has to hop aboard a haunted cruise ship and journey back to the mushroom kingdom while cleansing these islands along the way of their ghostly visitors. It could have an island that’s like an amusement park world or a sand world with monsters like mummies instead of ghosts. Let’s expand on Luigi a little and make him more than just a ghostbuster, but a full blown monster hunter.

LM4 Wish: We go back to explore the original mansion with all of the first Portrait Ghosts but with plenty of horror twists like King Boo actually brain washing even the friendly ones like Madame Clairvoya or Uncle Grimmly; the mansion actually transforming Brawl-style to get new rooms and even expanding on the ghost family like adding a aunt ghost, a grandpa ghost (which could even be the lost hunter), a maid ghost (add lore for her to be in love with Shivers idk) or even other Mushroom Kingdom ghosts other than Boos; an evolved Poltergust with all the powers like the Elements, Strobulb and Dark Light, maybe even throw the Plunger in as well.
Just imagine an HD look at the first mansion and even at the possibility of it being even bigger and more dangerous. Doesn't even have to be the actual mansion since Luigi lives in his house there now, but the mansion was originally an illusion so...

There’s the fact that once everything goes pear-shaped, the ship is going to be in the middle of the ocean, so there’s already a reason for why Luigi can’t just leave.
Cruise ships already have multiple things added to them besides what you would expect.

Shopping mall,
Theater,
Just the name a few and that’s not even getting into a water park.
Which also leads into the next part plenty of reasons for water to be a hazard in the place, especially if they want to re-introduce Gooigi.
And I think it would actually be really interesting if this time around. Luigi is ready. He knows this is going to be another one of those adventures. He already has the vacuum cleaner in his luggage, and he is ready and paranoid about it.
And it would actually be Mario that would take the poltergust away to try to get his brother to relax.

LM4 wish: What if there was some kind of skill tree that gave Luigi and his gear new abilities and boosts? Maybe the Poltergust gains more reach or can unleash a more powerful attack. Maybe gain brand-new attachments for the flashlight that can destroy certain objects or knock back ghosts. You can use the cash you collect or maybe some new collectible to unlock this stuff.
LM4 Wish: Princess Daisy's the main victim (Mario's not captured at all), and it's basically 15% a love story. Also you fight alongside ghosts against monsters.

I would love to see Luigi mansion 4 get nostalgic by bring back the first mansion as the last area of that game just to take it back to where it all began
LM4 wish: I think it would be pretty cool if we had a platformer( like normal Mario) but Luigi through the levels would have to suck up ghosts to clear the level. Also, would like to see some type of mini game like the Luigi mansion mini games from Nintendoland game.
LM4 wish It would be fun to have it work as a mix of both LM3 and LM2 (Dark Moon) where like you said instead of 5 mansions, various big areas but that it starts off in a mansion and after you complete all off the missions you can run around like in LM3 and ypu choose which location to investigate next like in Mario Odyssey and when you finish all off the missions you can run around in the open world because there was some mechanic blocking you like fog or something (like in LM2)
LM4 Wish: What if we had a whole game or portion of a game where Princess Peach's castle gets overrun with ghosts and Luigi has to clear them out
We get rooms that are a homage to mario 64, but also get to see many other rooms that either never existed before or couldn't go to before
Also the last time we ever saw Peach's Castle get turned "evil" was NSMB U, I think it's about time we see a new take on that idea
LM4 Wish: Instead of the place being specifically created/prepared as a trap for King Boo's enemies, like in 1 and 3, I would like it to be an existing place with actual history, like in 2. Also, it would be nice if King Boo had more goals than just revenge. Yes, I wrote that before, but I messed up the LM4. Oh, and I would like a single not too big mansion, but full of haunted objects that suck you in and serve as separate worlds to explore, like a clock, a toy train, a ship in a bottle ...
LM4 wish : I think they should make a village with different houses or areas which are related to some cultures, there would be a Mexican cemetery with day of the dead theme and a Catrina at the end crying in front of the tomb, there would be a Japanese garden with a Samourai ghost planting weird plants that attack you, a circus with a crazy clown,... I think something that could really look like a village with the different elements, but like in LM3, each house or building or area would have a different theme. We had the Egyptian theme in LM3, now we'll have the Mexican theme and the Japanese theme.
I also think that the game should learn from the 3 previous games, it would have the different mansions or areas from the 2nd, the different themes from the 3rd, but the 1st game had something slightly more dramatic to it and the ghosts had a story. I can imagine the different areas having something dramatic to them. You wouldn't just capture the ghosts but help lost spirits to go in peace.

Dude, Luigi’s Mansion Four must be placed in a town or a village, there could be a lot of amazing stuff to explore or play, and you could give different themes to each stage but keeping the atmosphere of a lonely village
Lm4wish: the theater ghost from luigi's mansion 3 returns and want to up his film career. He uses luigie as the star of his upcoming movies but, oh no, a new antagonist shows up and us ruining the movies, you have to help by being sucked into the movies. I think nintendo could do a lot of fun things with this, like costumes, wacky movie designs, and even crazier bosses.
Luigi's Mansion 1 better end up on the Nintendo Switch. I'm just saying it right now.

LM4 Wish: Maybe it will be a town... a ghost town (with a mansion as the centerpiece). It could have different areas like a town square, a cemetery, etc. with fully explorable environments.
I'm hoping that in Luigi's Mansion 4, the handheld device Professor E. Gadd gives you is a parody of the Game & Watch, which they could call: The Ghoul & Watch.
