Something I use in my own password keeper: the first page is for information about my router, my internet provider, and things like that - including the account number and tech support phone number, because if your internet is out, you won't be able to look up the tech support number online. Also your POP3 and SMTP settings if your internet uses them.
The cottage cheese was to soften the oat crepe ,you let the " sandwich" to rest five minutes before eating it . Not big fan of avocado , is so dull 😒 but helps with the digestion . In fact all the ingredients of that sandwich or oat crepe on salmon and guacamole , call it as you like lol it would activate your stomach flora and later would do a great " pipes" cleansing for you 😁 The password booklet is impeccable , great idea . The covers design made me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for sharing .Much appreciated your generosity xx
"Oliver Twist Gruel Pancakes." Hahahhaha This looks AWESOME! Now I'm thinking a Booksmith Address Book would be cool and maybe have an old phone number like "Klondike 857" or something on the cover--in fountain pen, of course!
@@LedgerAndLace haha, party lines too. I saw a video of the old dial phone placed in front of teenagers, and they were asked to figure out what it was and how to use it. It was hilarious. They did eventually figure out it was a phone, but never did properly dial a number. But you wouldn't, would you? Unless someone showed you how to dial a number you wouldn't know how.
@@LedgerAndLace and I think each of those first few letters of the word corresponded to a number, like how the number 1 is ABC And we didn't dial area codes unless it was a long distance call. I remember seeing the business card for the dentist and it said dial Oxford followed by whatever numbers. We couldn't even remember 7 digits?
I thank the lovely algorithm for letting me stumble across your video. I know nothing about 'booksmithing' and was wondering why this video was so long. Ended up watching the whole thing! Love your book, it looks absolutely professional. The most I've ever done as far as making a book is stapling sheets of paper together! You've made me see that it's possible to do something very high quality. Good suggestion about the notes. Thank you for the entertaining and awesome video
Last year I just found you, I do wish every time I watch you I had years ago. Anyway I came across the original password keepers which all my late teen family members wanted so present ideas for u guys! I love watching you and have purchased a fare few items. More importantly I am on alot if medication and have severely limited mobility but like to keep busy, your vids have really improved all of my works. I like to make my own thing but apply the techniques, not many can actually successfully teach the formula not just how to replicate but you do it brilliant and for someone like me that has no choice but to watch TV ect 24/7 due to pain and illness to find someone who is a pleasure to listen and never ever irritating or anything you deserve to know. Thank you you do more than you'll ever know x
Miss Nic... I've done everything in my cyber realm of knowledge... To tag you... They just don't seem to BEE 🐝 working ⚒... 😂 LOL 😂... @ any rate I made me one of these... Love, love 😍 it... Making 2 of these today to give as Father's Day gifts. I recently stayed at my parents' house for a few days to care for my mom while my dad was in the hospital and learned that only my dad knew where the passwords were kept - scribbled on a piece of junk mail at the bottom of a pile of books and papers! This gift will make for a MUCH better solution for both aging households and for us adult children who are stepping up to care for our elders. Thanks again for all that you do, Nik! You're a Queen to me!
Hi! I just finished making my book, and I learned so much! I will just say that when I printed out my images, the covers measured 4 1/8 by 8 3/4. I was able to make adjustments by trimming the top of the insert pages. Anyway, I love my new password keeper and look forward to making more books with you!
Thank you so much for the templates and this video. You are very generous. I am starting this project today. I love this idea and can't wait to finish mine so my passwords will be all organized and in one place.
😂 Love this cover! You are too funny! I ordered this cover (and a few others)! Yes, that's one strange oatmeal pancake recipe (gross). I watch a RUclips home chef named John Kirkwood, he's in the UK. He's a real pleasure to listen to and watch, and has all kinds of good recipes.
Just purchased the kit and cant wait to get started. Watched the video and its great with clear instruction. I never find your videos to long. Thanks for another great tutorial.
There was no way that I would fast forward through the recipe! I needed the laugh...thanks. I am always having to look for my passwords and will be creating this gem in the future.
I love this. And I love long videos. Even if there's no talking, just watching you do something, I find it very relaxing. Just bought the kit! Thank you!
Love the book ! As for the recipe, here in the UK we have a local dish called a Staffordshire oat cake , the recipe might be a bit like one of them , and they are yummy but I would not put the salmon on etc , I usually go cheese and bacon .
Hi Nik Following along I have just made my first book. Using basically your measurements but for A4, I made a gin tasting diary with a page template I created in InDesign. Of course, during the process I stuck the cover on upside-down, ripped the spine and had to reinforce it with clear packing tape, and threaded the pages using diagonal holes instead of aligned, but overall I'm pretty happy with the final result. And doubly happy that I have never done this before. . So than you for such a great easy-to-follow video!
what a wonderful idea - this came out so nice - what a useful little book to have and i look forward to seeing what is coming up next - thanks Nik - have a relaxing weekend xx
Thanks Nik for this great idea! And to comment about the recipe - there is no way....I would every try let along make that oatmeal pancake. I'll stick with regular buttermilk pancakes from a box! Thanks for the templates too!! 🤣
Your OCD speaks load and clear to me 😊 That’s one of the reasons I love watching. And as a bonus, you are hilarious 😂 I am so making this for my husband because I currently have to reset passwords for him on the daily 😡 Thanks so much!
Yay Nik! I was getting ready to try, try, try to copy my current gifted and much loved password book. You have saved me much misery, wasted time, and paper. And I could never have created the clever translations of “The Rules of Passwords.” Also, thank goodness for RUclips rewind. No more stacks of unlabeled DVD’s. Now if I can just figure out how to make the text double-sided. You always make it sound so easy, and guess what? You do make it easy, as long as I don’t get it into my thick skull that I can do it better. I agree with you 100% about the menu. Gakkk🤢 Blessings🙏🏻🖖🏻🤭
I am going to need to get the kit! And if I start, now I can make some of these for holiday presence at the end of the year! I love it, it’s is so cute and useful!! 🤗❤️ Tamara
Hi Nik👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻😊just wanted to let you know I made my password journal from your kit. Was so easy and I really like it. Passwords all in a book YES! Thank you
Your video reminded me of the workshop once I went to, it’s about computer scams. The guy said, “I cannot understand why people labeled Password Book on the front cover, whoever got hold of the book it would be a goldmine” 😂😮
It's true. That's why my last password book was labeled "Aunt Ida's Lima Bean Recipes" 😅 I put my password book somewhere random, but I suppose any notebook left by a computer would be in danger from a creepy creeper!
I'd make Staffordshire oatcakes, they are wonderful. Very different though to the video. I loved them when I lived in the UK. Yum I love your content thank you.
I was struggling with trying combinations of passwords for an online account when this video popped on my feed! Off to Etsy I went....and it's now finished and ready to put passwords in! But first, a nap lol 😂
Thanks a bunch for this video! And also thank you for making the template and pages available in so many ways. I stumbled upon your video and channel. You immediately captured my attention, and of course, I hit the like button. I became a new subscriber today. You gave excellent, easy to follow directions on how to make this book. Again thank you. I look forward to making & using my book.
Make some recipes and then bind them in a cookbook? Win, win! I initially got interested in the bookbinding because I'm making a family cookbook. My mother recently passed away and I have a bunch of her recipes plus both of my grandmothers. What I don't own, I've already scanned from my sisters. Then the seven of us added our own recipes. I've got around 300 pages. We're also giving them to a few nieces that are interested. Most aren't 😒
Um, no to that salmon oatmeal mess. But Pinterest gave me the easiest IHOP pancake recipe, and I have been using it for ten years now. 😊 Love your password keeper! I’m on it.
As usual, love your videos, and the perfection of your creations, so precise ❤❤❤ for the poking I have an old padded envelope that I put underneath, really helps 😊 just in case you haven't thought about that, thought I would share!! ❤️
Nik....I couldn't have timed watching this one any better, thanks! I checked your Amazon lists but couldn't find needles and thread, any recommendations?
This is really Cool!! I bought it from ur Etsy Shop right away. It's worth paying U the $ to me anyhow lol I'm w/ you w/ the "Goolish Goop" what a Waste of the Salmon; Salmon isn't Cheap. I couldn't believe it & then topped it w/ Cucumbers.. 🤢 lol I have no idea what that pile of brown stuff was on the bread either 😂 Take Care Nik!! Hope you have a Great Weekend!! ☺️ TFS!!🥰🥰
Great idea, I’ll probably buy the kit from Etsy as it’s not expensive and I’ll get the covers that I love. 💖 I’m wondering if that recipe was posted on April 1st? 🤢
My suggestion is to print out the eff short word list and add this to your book that way you will have a method for making turely random secure passphrases.
I would eat it. I remember when I was a kid, mom used to make a big pot full of oatporridge, and the leftover was fried the next day in butter and it became crispy and golden on the outside Served with suger and cinnamon. Sooo goood
This is beautiful and hilarious. But I'm paranoid enough that I'd probably put mine in an innocuous cover that said "Top 50 Victorian Love Poems" or something like that.

It's not so much the oats as it is the eggs. I'm not fond of them if they can be tasted at all 🤢😅
I always laugh when you say "or do what you want I'm not your mom" 😂
I would love to see a ‘repurposing’ job on your old keeper!
Excellent!

This is terrific! Awesome! I love it! ❤ and you are so funny! :)
Love this! Yes need one ❤
Love it!
Your craftknife is in your lapbook, in the specimenbox. 😊
Neat and practical. Thanks!
