This song is so nostalgic for me. Amazing to think Shadows had no prior vocal training for it. He absolutely kills it.
Well...not kills it, his voice was very breathy and a little uncontrolled, but for having no vocal training, it was REALLY fucking good

I chose this song (and my wife agreed) as the song we had our first dance to at our wedding. She wasn't then, and still isn't now, an A7X fan, but she felt the passion in this song. Matt kills it on the piano and vocally. Great song.

Piano is the Rev. The drummer is insane. R.i.p. he played the drums for this album in one take. Yes u read that right. He was musically gifted, and was a pro by the age of 13.
Matt plays piano and also does acoustic guitar,the rev goes backing vocals and zacky guitar as this song was fine before syn or johnny joined the band. Syn joined and does lead guitar on one song on this album. Matt's future wife Val also does vocals on this album.

@@slash3707 The Rev didn't play piano for Avenged Sevenfold until the self-titled. Matt had played it on Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, and he and Syn had done all of the stuff on both Waking the Fallen and City of Evil. Jimmy was strictly playing it for Pinkly Smooth, alongside Justin Sane.

M. Shadows had composed most of this song for his girl, Val, who's also in the music video. He'd played the piano and acoustic guitar, done all of the arrangement stuff, and the band's first EP was named after it. It's beautiful, isnt it? 😏💜

I fucking love this song reminds me of someone very special to me that I still love to this day and will love forever and I know he loves me to but our timing was always off letters from him are something that I still have and if anyone ever took them or destroyed them I would probably hurt them seriously.
