Short, simple and clear audio and vid - love bite sized to the point tuts - thanks so much
Using the Strip Silence Window is far more efficient than the method detailed in this video.
So very glad that we found you! You are a great teacher! Blessings!
This was a game change for my voice over... thanks so much
love for this one brooo. it’s almost impossible to find solution out there that works
Thank you so much for this!! I have been having so much trouble with my vocals, since my recording mic is really bad!!
Just incredible brother Huge Thank from ATL
Just what i needed thanks bro 😎
appreciate you bro
Great tutorial , tnx for this🎉
BRO thank you so much. Ive been searching the internet as I'm editing some of my band's interviews. Unfortunately, East London means I get a lot of traffic noise even with double glazing. But this is the first video I've found that actually showed me what I needed
glad it helped bro. if u still struggling with it ns1 plugin from waves gets rid of it fully too 👊🏼
@@helpmebuu9459 dude amazing. Thanks homie. This video actually full on worked for me, took the DB down a bit but the compressor brought it back and now it sounds perfect
@@hopethroughgrace5199 sickkk my g
Keep up the good work
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing
Very helpful thank you!😊👍 liked and subscribed
Super helpful thank you!
Well done!!
New sub here. Thanks man, Im trying this as we speak and im compelled to put a hi-pass filter on it too
Great tutorial x
thanks a lot man....great help🙏🙏
Really useful, thank you
Thank you so much!
cool vid mate
Bro deserves 1m likes
Can't you use both of them? Expander to remove the noise while talking and the noise gate in between the words?
How do you get that Gain i dont have it in my logic pro x.
Thank you so much
Good tips
THANK YOU
Thanks
The expander didn’t even make it that much louder then before. I think the disadvantage is also easy to compensate. If you use the right compression it will be easy to solve the compression problem
How about if i don't use noise reduction ? I have same problem like this.
is expender a logic pro x stock plug?
awesome
This is very interesting, I learned a lot, you taught clearly. What would you advise to fix it and avoid over compressing vocals without the floor noise underneath the vocals?
NS1 plugin from waves or turning down the gain on audio interface itself are the other two solutions
@@helpmebuu9459 yeah, I find that tweaking the actual audio interface works the best. Thank you!
thank u sir
Thansk buddy
Acest program se poate asocia sau implementa si cu alte programe , gen Sam Broadcaster ?
thx brо really worked
Thx
Please tell us more logic secrets
Thanks background noise gone💯
brother , i understood the part of the process but i still hearing the noise a very little after taking care of not destroying the audio .i heard very big difference in ur video but even im hearing the little noise in ur audio too on ur voice sound part after the process .is that the normal to not stop almost the full noise ???
yoo, there will always be a fraction of floor noise - if it's just audio, especially with no instruments etc in the background. its just about how much and controlling it best way you can
Can’t you just adjust the gain after the expander to turn the overall signal down before compressing?
deffo can bro that helps too
What would you turn the gain down to?
Can I still use I still use expander and compress my vocals ?
Can a good (example) audient ID22 interface and a really good preamp get rid of floor noise completely when recording songs and vocals? that way dont need to use these methods?
yeah bro 100%. I've upgraded my mic and interface & the issue is gone. on a cheap gear e.g audio technica at2020 and lets say 2nd gen scarlet it's useful to apply the method in the vid
Expender is better than noise gate
trust
I just use a Low Pass filter. And make sure levels and gain-staging is healthy.
good shout bro. this was on audio technica at2020. rode nt1a self noise does a proper job too
Low pass filter on what plugin?
I don't see the expander on my list
Hi, my expander looks different from yours and isn't doing what I need it to do. Is this a separate plug-in or an extra one that doesn't ordinarily come with Logic? I'm also using the same version that I used 10 years ago and I can't update as my macs too old so idk if that might be why?
yeah sounds like your version doesn't have it as it comes with the usual logic built in plugins
Ah man okay thank you anyways!@@helpmebuu9459
Well if the end result is that a noise gate and expander makes your track sound shitty, why use it?
it isn’t as drastic to make it sound bad & you can always compensate for that small change in the mix e.g MV2 - just a preference if u value getting rid of noise more vs potentially smallest overall sound quality decrease that’s practically unnoticeable
So the best thing to really do is re-record the vocals
Can't hear you
speed is limited sadly :p
@help me Buu - This was fairly helpful, but I think using the Strip Silence window is a much more efficient and aesthetically pleasing method of removing background noise. To open the Strip Silence window, control click it open, and then go down to "Split," and then across to "Strip Silence." From there, you can set the various parameters for noise threshold, minimum time for silence, pre-attack time, and post release time. If you experiment until you find the appropriate parameters in these, you can avoid the irritating issue of having the Noise Gate constantly opening and closing due to your threshold settings. Your method is far too inefficient, I'm afraid.
Is there any way to use strip silence on multiple tracks in Logic? I used to like it in Studio One when starting a mix just as an arrangement organizer more that removing noise
