To all the Panthers fans this could be the way Tepper is forced to sell outside of legal charges. If the top players refuse to play for a team then the team can't ever function effectively.
Mike Florio has been on Tepper's neck for a good while now and I honestly don't have a problem with it. I just hate it for us fans that have to endure with it as well, seeing this franchise get burned down by these decisions over the seasons under Tepper.
The problem is the NFL can’t really allow that attitude to gain root. It would ruin the draft system. I could see the owners making any QB that does this, especially a first overall pick, banned from playing for another year.
Starting the clock for the second contract is pretty irrelevant if the panthers are just going to ruin you. You need to be playing well when that comes along, not just get there.
The panthers are not the first organization that has been this bad . There are other teams out there were terrible for decades . Look at the jets they ruined Sam Darnold and Zach Wilson . So don’t act like Carolina is the only one.
They ruined Darnold for sure. Look at him now. I don't believe they ruined ZW as I think he is just bad. Literally every other qb that has played for the same regime has played better. But yes the Panthers right now are in that hopeless rut the Jets have been in since 2012 till now.
This is honestly depressing if players refuse to come play after we draft them. So you would essentially just be wasting picks. That’s just bullshit that that can even happen. And if that does happen Tepper needs to go because that would be frustrating
I generally HATE the idea of players doing this, because the ability to rebuild is what makes the NFL so great. However, the Panthers situation is so off-the-charts hopeless that I going there is a career death sentence. Panthers are the only team that is worth the PR hit to avoid
A little harsh take, I just think that Bryce has played bad. They built up an O line and tried to get recievers. I’m not convinced we can’t handle Qb I think it’s just Bryce regressed too much
The NFL needs to to go back to drafting the QB of the future like the Packers have done for the last 20 years. The Panthers are 3 years away from dropping an new QB into the lineup and being even close to good. We need life at all 22 positions, get talent and quit drafting shit ass players, honestly, over the last six years, who have the Panthers drafted outside the 1st round that didnt suck? And we tend to trade away the 1st rounders we hit on for shit compensation. Tepper needs to go on a 20 nation tour of Africa every off season an let football people do football shit.
Panthers are no doubt in a bad situation attributed to ownership leadership. Being that said, Young is not an NFL caliber talent (at least not as a starter). He decidedly won't throw the ball down field (probably cause he can't see). He literally jumps when he throws, to clear the o-line. He's a bust, and an overreach at #1. He will dwindle into obscurity, like so many 1st rounders. This isn't just a Carolina problem, so many NFL Franchises are really bad at assessing College QB talent (thinking many are ready for the jump up, on day 1). Just look at the number of misses...
There are only 32 teams and not all of them need a high pick QB so that narrows it down. Only like 0.1% of players make it to the NFL and to me I'd think a player taking that stance would be a red flag as a trouble maker to other teams. The Panthers will still exist long after that players career is over so
Question, what if David Tepper decides to move the Panthers to St. Louis? Mr. Tepper ego has been his way or the highway. Meaning the St. Louis fans are so hungry for a NFL team, they would put up with Tepper’s nonsense!!
St. Louis will probably be awarded an expansion franchise. And i seriously doubt the other owners and commissioner would give Tepper approval to move the franchise since the league still sees the Carolinas as a viable hub for a football franchise. As a matter of history, in 2003 Red McCombs threatened to move the Minnesota Vikings to San Antonio if he didnt get a publicly funded stadium. But the federal courts and then commissioner Paul Tagliabue block his attempt in 2004. McCombs put the Vikings up for sale in 2005. He owned the team for only 7 years. That's where i see this situation with David Tepper heading.
How is Archy a top pick when we haven't seen him play in college yet bro has been on the bench for how long so far besides garbage time or spring practice
All these teams/organizations that have sucked for years and now everybody wants to act like Carolina is the worst organization ever. Almost every team that is up right now sucked in recent history and just got the draft right or key free agents to turn things around.
Thats not gonna work because there stock can drop if 2 or 3 dudes light it up the nxt draft hell they could even fall outta the 1st round if there are no qb needy teams
Wait until the panthers draft another QB and ruin them also and see what players today will do i promise you they will start rejecting coming to carolina whats the point of drafting a QB first round if your giving up on him after a year we wouldent have Peyton or Drew in the HOF if teams did that
All I know is something needs to change soon. Because we are the laughing stock of the NFL. And hopefully sitting BY will help him. I really hope it does. Change what u guys are doing in the front office.
100% they should avoid the Panthers. It seems obvious that Tepper is not interested in watching a QB develop in Carolina. He wants to pick "the Chosen One", the Michael Jordan who saves the franchise and makes the Panthers a dynasty from game 1...and makes Tepper look like a genius at talent evaluation in both the finance industry and football. Tepper would not have had the patience to develop Cam Newton. There's no way he would have let Pat Mahomes sit year 1 behind Alex Smith. He gives QB's 1 season and if they aren't amazing he acquires another QB in the offseason. He says the Panthers will never be mediocre under his watch.
well i was a Commanders fan sesse i was little and then came the Panthers so i became a Panthers fan so now imo i think the whole organization should be sold and moved to a diff state to make way for a whole new team
I dont think we'll get rid of bryce therefore I don't think we'll draft another QB. The most intuitive approach is to start building assets and capital by trading back picks and truly build through the draft like Dan Morgan seemingly wants to do. Let Bryce "develop" and then really evaluate him next year in preseason and then moving forward (assuming the roster is more "competitive" at that point).
The NFL should definitely do something about this even being a possibility. If you declare for the draft and you choose to not play for the team that drafts you then you can not enter the NFL ever
Lots of teams have been bad. Only 3 or 4 QBs in the history of the NFL made this threat. There are many good QBs in the next draft. This is ridiculous hate on Carolina by the main stream media. Florio has always been an idiot.
Everything about the Panthers suck. Even your fanbase. Look at Oakland. Perennially bad, rabidly loyal fan base. Build your team middle-out while fielding a passable starter then you guys take a QB
Wait until the panthers draft another QB and ruin them also and see what players today will do i promise you they will start rejecting coming to carolina whats the point of drafting a QB first round if your giving up on him after a year we wouldent have Peyton or Drew in the HOF if teams did that
Unless it’s Arch Manning Panthers should just sign vets with a proven track record - and use their high picks on skilled talent not crapshoots
Manning family will not let that happen
No way in hell the Mannings are allowing him to play here
What would vet would want to come to Charlotte unless no one else wants them?
Eli told the chargers no and you think they are letting Arch go to that dumpster fire in Carolina? 😂
Quinn ewers is a gamer. Don't know why he gets so much hate and disrespect.
To all the Panthers fans this could be the way Tepper is forced to sell outside of legal charges. If the top players refuse to play for a team then the team can't ever function effectively.

Welcome to how being a Jets fan has felt over the last decade.
@@johnnyjets2343 lol!! Don't forget the Browns too 😅
Every draft pick should refuse. Something drastic has to happen to get Tepper to sell the team
The problem is the NFL can’t really allow that attitude to gain root. It would ruin the draft system. I could see the owners making any QB that does this, especially a first overall pick, banned from playing for another year.

Wont work. Panthers drafting 1 in 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027..... they have all the leverage.
No, they don't if they have the number one pick. After drafting a player number one, they're not going to draft the same exact player the next year.
No, they don’t have all the leverage, the player has the leverage in the draft, especially in the 1st round
What leverage do they have if you as a player just don't commit to the draft? You are scored "number 1" and then you can choose where to go
The panthers are not the first organization that has been this bad . There are other teams out there were terrible for decades . Look at the jets they ruined Sam Darnold and Zach Wilson . So don’t act like Carolina is the only one.
Florio used that as his example of why teams should boycott the panthers...
They ruined Darnold for sure. Look at him now. I don't believe they ruined ZW as I think he is just bad. Literally every other qb that has played for the same regime has played better. But yes the Panthers right now are in that hopeless rut the Jets have been in since 2012 till now.
Carolina is the worst one by far
@@ChivasJerry they have only ruined one QB the jets have ruined 4 I don’t think the panthers are the worst team ever
Has there been another owner that threw a drink at a fan though? 😂 Tepper is terrible
This is honestly depressing if players refuse to come play after we draft them. So you would essentially just be wasting picks. That’s just bullshit that that can even happen. And if that does happen Tepper needs to go because that would be frustrating
Also the fact that you are assuming the panthers have the 1st pick ... two games in... should tell you where the team is.
I generally HATE the idea of players doing this, because the ability to rebuild is what makes the NFL so great. However, the Panthers situation is so off-the-charts hopeless that I going there is a career death sentence. Panthers are the only team that is worth the PR hit to avoid
Carolina is the kiss of death.
I wouldn't want any player who doesn't want to be here. Why I had no issue with them getting rid of Moore and Burns.
Moore wanted to be here though, he was hurt when he got traded
I heard this same thing about Houston. Now look at them now.
Every single QB coming into the nfl should try their best to stay away from Carolina until there is a new owner
A little harsh take, I just think that Bryce has played bad. They built up an O line and tried to get recievers. I’m not convinced we can’t handle Qb I think it’s just Bryce regressed too much
It wont even be QBs...it will be recievers, tight ends, DB's and other players. Why go to Carolina if you want a career
At this point, I wouldn't play qb on the panthers even if you let me make my own character.
The NFL needs to to go back to drafting the QB of the future like the Packers have done for the last 20 years. And the next time around Carolina will have the #1 pick again after they sit out 😂😂
He’s not wrong

Bo Jackson did the same thing with Tampa Bay. He refused to play for them.
Helped that he had professional baseball.
Even rae rae mccloud has balled out since leaving the panthers
There are only 32 teams and not all of them need a high pick QB so that narrows it down. Only like 0.1% of players make it to the NFL and to me I'd think a player taking that stance would be a red flag as a trouble maker to other teams. Umm, why not just not go into the draft and go free agent if you are number 1 graded? Then you actually get to choose. Just say screw the draft.

Carolina needs to avoid qb and build roster first
All players should try to avoid Carolina
How is Archy a top pick when we haven't seen him play in college yet bro has been on the bench for how long so far besides garbage time or spring practice
There is no reentering the Draft if you don’t like what Team Drafts you.. it’s 2024 and not 20-30 Years ago - All BS
Sanders is all hype. He's just alright. Maybe in the top ten but but definitely not a top five qb
I’d wait until 2026 and Draft QB Manning or Raiola
All these teams/organizations that have sucked for years and now everybody wants to act like Carolina is the worst organization ever. Almost every team that is up right now sucked in recent history and just got the draft right or key free agents to turn things around.
Sitting bryce is a correction. Its what they should do.
Thats not gonna work because there stock can drop if 2 or 3 dudes light it up the nxt draft hell they could even fall outta the 1st round if there are no qb needy teams
Yes. They will pull a Bo Jackson/Eli
Manning and not come here.
dalton gonna win enough to not get 1st pick and then retire 😂
Then, they will carry that stain to the rest of their careers. Elway, manning, kobe, and so on. Divas who show their true colors.
Hopefully the guy they draft isn't a little b***h and has the mentality that "if anyone can fix this sh!t, it's me".
Wait until the panthers draft another QB and ruin them also and see what players today will do i promise you they will start rejecting coming to carolina whats the point of drafting a QB first round if your giving up on him after a year we wouldent have Peyton or Drew in the HOF if teams did that
