    I lose my splits after a few months of not stretching and now I'm starting from the top . So moral of the story . Do.you.streches.everyday .

      I was naturally very flexible as a child and trained until i was 16. I am 30 now and haven't been stretching for 10 years. I am freaking wooden.

    Ngl it’s working! 😳 as a person who has been inflexible for my whole life, I’m really proud to be a few inches off the ground. I will continue to do these exercises and hope for the best!
    I’ll update when I get my splits don’t worry.
    UPDATE- I STOPPED BECAUSE I GOT LAZY AND I LOST ALL THE FLEXIBILITY THAT I GAINED SO SORRY TO DISAPPOINT YOU😞

    I have to say how incredible this stretch routine is. I hadn’t attempted the splits in 20 years, after stretching with the video 2 times, I can almost completely do the splits!

    I have been trying different splits challenges and tutorials on RUclips for about a year now and this video is what got me in my deepest split and in the best form I ever had after only 2 weeks doing this everyday

    It’s day two of doing this exercise and its actually working! Of course I cant do the splits right away after one or two days. I believe this is going to work. Trust the process!

    I just wanted to say how much i have loved doing these exercises. You are so professional and your stretches are all centered around technique. i love that! You are so encouraging to beginners even when they can't do all the stretches because starting out learning the professional way, though it feels harder with so much to remember, really is the better way. I also love how real you keep it! Thankyou so much for doing these! This has been my first consistent stretch routine ever and it helps with so much more than just flexibility

    I've been doing these stretches everi 2nd or 3rd day for 2 weeks and then i got sick and didn't do them for about 10 days. Gladly didn't lose any progress and I'll continue doing them for a while. Good luck with your split journey guys💖

    Super cool!! I was always wasting so much time in warming up and before that couldn't find any splits tutorial as fast and efficient, the only thing I would change (same and even more for the back tutorial is some biiip sound cue to know how much time to spend on each rep and stretch as it can be hard to keep watching and stretch at the same time (unless I am just deeply uncoordinated :D)

      Warm up is very important- pls don't skip!! In another video, she said strength is as equally important as flexibility so it actually helped

      @@blocxa_3541 When I am at the stretching point of my workout routine I am already warm. I just meant that the previous tutorial I followed had less efficient and more numerous warm-up reps for me. Then everyone is different. A friend told me to put pillows when doing the splits to protect my joints, for some reason as I was already nearly to the ground (I am flat now). The pillows just grew useless tension on my knees. I listened to what I felt in my body as she said "at your own risk" and since I do this tutorial, I save more time and feel less pain. Up to anyone else to find their own way to it.

The only purpose of my comment was to thank her, and now with your comment, other people who could think I promote to skip any sort of warm-up can know it is not what I meant. The pillow thing is just to put a pillow under your butt but it was then hyperextending my knees. Maybe I didn't understand either what my friend who is a dance teacher meant anyway, good luck with your journey!!

    i almost got my splits after 3 weeks (5x a week stretching)
    but i used to stretch so the results are much faster. before i got my splits after 4-6 months 💖

    Day1, side splits are fine but middle splits are killing me. I will leave comments here to keep a record for my 30 days challenge. Good luck to my and everyone else who is doing this challenge :)

      Day3 side ones are becoming easier, even lift my hands up from the floor for a while. But still cannot do a proper middle split.

    I did ballet from a young age until I was five and I just started ballet again two months ago(I'm 14 and I'm pretty flexible). However, there are 2-3 inches left whenever I do my splits. So I'm going to record my progress on here until I finally can do a split!
    Day 1 - It hurts but it's okay, and there's still space separating me and the floor.

    I am a dancer and have always wanted to do flexibility tricks because I am probably the least flexible person in the class so I am doing this stretching routine. I have tried it just before Christmas but I quit on the 4th day of doing it (Thursday0 because I am lazy anyway I have a dance show coming up so I am going to start stretching again to be flexible. Box splits:358cm from the ground. Left foot infront:28 cm from the ground. Right foot in front:30cm from the ground. I will keep track of my progress here:
    Day 1-my legs are in pain and I think I might die but I will keep going to see improvement :)
    Week 1-about to starts stretching but I am not feeling very well but we got to keep stretching,

    You are amazingly flexible. I have been trying to get my splits and have been unsuccessful even after more than 20 yrs of stretching. You probably may be surprised. I have been consistent on the whole. I am still trying to get the splits. I started stretching in my 20's. Before that I had done all hard body weight exercises for muscle strengthening and cardio workout for stamina. Probably it is due to this that I have not yet achieved it. Please make a video on splits in all details. I am willing and ready to pay the fee for this.

      That's suprising please maintain a balance between exercise and streching both should be 50-50 and try to push your self harder cause pain now worth later

    I'm going to do this everyday until I can do the front splits down to the floor!
    Also does anyone else notice the way how smooth the transition at 4:05 was? Shes moving like water omg
    Day 3: (Havent updated for the first two days, but I have been doing it!)
    - Right splits: 10.5 inches to the ground
    - Left splits: 11 inches to the ground
    - Box splits: 17 inches to the ground (that sounds like so much 😢)
    Day 4: (really pushed myself further today)
    - Right splits: 9 inches to the ground 😳
    - Left splits: 10 inches to the ground (My legs weren't in a straight line, but I don't really care)
    - Box splits: 16 inches to the ground
    Day 5: (idek if my technique is correct, but I'm really proud of my progress)
    - Right splits: 7.5 inches to the ground
    - Left splits: 8.5 inches to the ground
    - Box splits: 14 inches to the ground
    Day 6: (left and right splits were more than yesterday probably because I didn't push as much today)
    - Right splits: 8.5 Inches to the ground
    - Left splits: 9 inches to the ground
    - Box splits; 13.5 inches to the ground (my knees are bent though)
    Day 7: (I'm not sure if i can go any lower)
    - Right splits: 8 inches to the ground
    - Left splits: 8 inches to the ground
    - Box splits: 13.5 inches to the ground
    Day 8: (I'm definitely doing it wrong, I can't get my back leg straight)
    - Right splits: 8 inches to the ground
    - Left splits: 8 inches to the ground
    - Box splits: 13 inches to the ground (my knees are facing forewards though)
    Day 9: couldn't do it today
    Day 10:
    - Right splits: 7.5 inches to the ground
    - Left splits: 8 inches to the ground
    - Box splits: 12.5 inches to the ground

      hey you aren't doing it wrong!, I stretched everyday and there was these 3 days where I did not go any lower, but I just trusted the process and at the 4th day I got lower!, please don't get unmotivated, I almost gave up when I didn't get any lower and now I got my left split but very close on my right one!

    Imma just put my progress in until my 2 weeks are up!! I'm also doing this because I stopped stretching I'm still a bit flexible but I lost a lot of my flexibility
    Day 1- It hurt really bad doing all the splits I'm able to do the side splits on my left leg but it still hurts extremely bad and on my right leg its almost there rlly close for the middle splits it hurt soooooo bad
    Day 2- It still hurt but not as bad but my splits got closer to the ground on my right leg but on my left leg I can stay in it longer and I got closer with my middle splits too and it still hurt bad but not as much!
    Sorry I stopped putting my progress but I'm just gonna continue off where I was.
    Day 3- I'm actually doing way better with my splits and can hold it for 30 seconds now and I'm super close to my middle splits today I also did 2 more stretching videos for faster results!
    Day 4- I stopped for 5 days and I started again today Hurt a lot I just know I will be sore tomorrow
    Day 5- I was pretty sore but the good type of sore because now I know I'm gonna improve once this soreness is gone!
    Day 6- Still a bit sore I'm sure I wont be anymore tomorrow or in 2 days but my splits improved on my right side!
    Day 7- Just did the splits and yall I never was able to lift my hands up during the last 10 seconds but today I did and I feel so much more comfortable doing the splits and my right splits is almost fully down this is actually working!!! p.s. not sore anymore.
    Day 8- Same as yesterday the only thing different is that I'm getting closer to my splits on my right leg and my middle splits but imma do an extra video tomorrow because I'm starting ballet soon!
    Day 9- It was way easier staying and getting into the splits its starting to feel like nothing and my right split is rlly close and when I say really I mean REALLY!? And I have my over splits on my left leg now
    Day 10- Split doesn't even hurt rlly anymore it feels like a easy stretch same with my over splits its way easier now, on my right leg its like 1 centimeter from the floor and middle splits is slowly improving and ballet starts this Thursday!!
    Day 11- I added something under my leg to deepen my over splits on my left leg it hurt pretty bad on my right leg its getting closer and my middle splits is almost there like an inch from the ground!
    Day 12- My left split is feeling more comfortable in the over splits position and my RIGHT split is RIGHT THERE LIKE ITS SKIMMING THE GROUND LIKE LITERALLY and Middle splits is the same still though T-T

    I’m a 280lb overweight man that hasn’t stretched in years. My doctor told me to follow some stretching videos. First video attempt. Made it through but almost died.

    Can you make another video making it more slower and maybe a modification for the stretches so you can get use to it this is helping a lot but I find it rlly hard to follow along

    Started doing this daily with yoga blocks. Started my front split with 3 blocks, and now I have just one block under me! The side split is much harder. I went from 3 blocks underneath me to 2. But still progress!

    I can’t do the split exercise at the end because I still have to be more flexible for that. Is it okay if you still skip that one exercise? What exercise can you do instead, so that you still practice your split and can do it later?

    question: how do you do that stretch on one knee without the knee screaming in pain? Is there a specific spot of the knee that hurts less? Am I just too heavy for that excercise?

    After I do the box spilt , my hips start bothering afterwards. Is there anything I can do to prevent that?

    Hannah i want to strech so bad but i cant sterct my right leg (my good leg) bc im a diabetic and i have an insulin pump and the needle or set what ever you call it is on my leg and i dont want it to go out bc i put it tkday but in 3 days i will strech and im gona put in on my belly
    And i have my RG summer camp in 4 days so i will be streching there too but when im home i will strech with this video

    I guess I'm lucky, at 59, I can sit like you did on the floor with both knees flat, but can put my head onto my feet/arches, at same time, unfortunately I can only get down to 4-6" for my splits, but that's ok, my mother was (now deceased) the same, she just said we had loose hips, I now have a problem with my rite hip, but thinking of working on the muscles in this hip to loosen it a little

    When you stretch it ok if u hold the stretch for one minute? Like this
    Monday - 1 minute
    Tuesday - 2 minutes
    Wednesday - 3 minutes
    Like is it okay to do that its not Gonna hurt me is it

      I think that’s ok... as a dancer I would recommend holding it just a little longer

      Yes, I have seen many youtubers saying it’s good to hold stretches for several minutes, but I know from experience that this is not good for your health. You could really hurt your muscles doing this. I recomment not holding ANY stretches for longer than a minute.

    I completed 8 days of stretch routine alternated with back stretching and middle split yesterday was a relaxing break day now another 8 days of belly workout and alternating stretching in middle split and back bending it will definitely take time more than two months to get my full middle split maximum three months minimum two months why because somehow last 10 cm distance from ground in split position my butt is still in air and I can't just flex stretch from that point ! That's why I am saying it will take more than a month may be two or three definitely with a right trainer right beside me everyday I would achieve the goal ina month definitely but doing it all myself is first risky and also nobody is there to see whatever I am.doimh is actually right or wrong there are subtle things which we can't get just watching videos also trainer helps you to stretch beyond your limits helping your body parts to slowly pull away for splits or back stretching even needling legs !

    hiiiii sooooo ive been doing dance 4 10 years but then covid hapend aaaaand i took a year off and i dident strech at all and i started my first day of dance in a year at a new studio 2day (my old 1 shut down:() ive never been able 2 do my spilts and ive always been kinda flexible but not nearly as much as the girls in my class soooo im guna do the 30 day chalenge thingie i rllyyyy hope i can get my splitssss!!!!(im guna try 2 update but no promises hehehe)
    update 1~ i feel verrrrry stretched and sore but i think i did prety gud!!!(srry i dident say much first day soooo not rlly 2 much progres!!! hehehe)
    update 2 ~ sooooo i kinda skiped like 2 days but i just finished and im guna try 2 stay with this:)

      Just do how much u can don't stop where you think you can cus you won't feel the stretch do more cus u have to get past your limits if you don't it will take alot and I mean alot of time. If you get past your limits you will eventually get down this was my protip of getting flexible this is how I got my splits and everything.

    Oh wow I did this yesterday and it really hurt. I was partially pushing myself a little further to see how far I could go but after finishing I felt as if I never had a stiff muscle.
    Today I did it again pushing myself about as far as I did yesterday and I found it noticeably easier and not as painful. Just wanted to share for anyone :)

    after suffering from depression for several years and laying in bed/being still for most of it, i’ve become very rigid. my body, especially my back is in pain. i am seeing a therapist now, and i’m dealing with my trauma and slowly starting to see a little light again. doing your 30 day challenge really motivates me and i hope i will gain some flexibility back!

    I'm a very inflexible person even when I do ballet, so I created a 20-30 min exercise for my feet, splits, lower legs, and etc. Thanks for making this, I really appreciate this!

    i will be doing this workout once a day until i can do my splits (i also strech whenever i remember during the day)
    this is my third day btw and i’m already much better
    Day 1: ✅ didn’t do the splits at the end
    Day 2: ✅ did them but had to move myself every 10 second after half a minute passed
    Day 3: ✅
    i wasn’t as flexible in some exercises bc i did it after 10 so i was already a little bit tired (until today i would do it in the morning to mid day)
    when doing the actual splits i only had to move positions once (after 30 secs)
    i moved my feet a little bit more for the box split
    day 4✅ i didn’t have to rearrange during the final streches except for the box split
    day 5❌
    day 6❌
    i didn’t do it for a couple of days so i’m starting again
    august 3rd
    day 1

    I've always been a wuss when it comes to the pain of stretching and I find it really hard to stay through the whole minute when my brain knows I can easily just come out of the stretch whenever I want, but I think it is helping me to be more disciplined and push through the discomfort because I am learning that my tolerance is higher than I thought 💪

    I have to say this. I FINALLY GOT MY FRONT SPLIT!!!!! this has been a goal of mine for forever! Lol I was already super close but the awesome stretch gave me that last inch I needed thank you so much!!!!! (๑•᎑< ๑)♡

    i've never really done anything like ballet or gymnastics (actually i did but it was too long ago and only for 1 year so) and i feel like im too old to go there as I'm 16 and the girls in my city who do these sports are way too toxic mostly to begginers, since they cant do much, but because i really want to improve my flexibility ill be doing this tutorial and the back flexibility tutorial for one month. ill update u then! best of luck on your journey

      I'm 26 and only started stretching like this last year. Don't worry about the other mean girls!
      Anyone can achieve results with consistent stretching, even 90 year olds ☺️
      Good for you for following your dreams and goals despite what other people think! I've made a lot of progress with my front splits, I never thought I could do it at this age.
      I hope you're seeing results too. Keep up the good work

      @@littleamig0 pretty well! I've regained all the flexibility I had gained in one year of gymnastics so far. Now I'm stretching to new limits and it's taking a little bit longer but Im still seeing improvement

    Do for 1 month
    Day 1: complete & nearly dead
    Day 2: somehow harder than day 1
    Day 3: done but legs impossibly sore. Will take rest
    Day 4: thought I’d rest today but didn’t, I’m less sore but definitely won’t do tomorrow cuz I don’t wanna get injured
    Day 5: rest day. Finally the soreness in my legs is gone
    Day 6: forgot to do. Oops
    Day 7: done
    Day 8: done, & feel significantly more flexible than day 1
    Day 11: ok, I didn’t do it for 2 days out of laziness. A bit disappointed in my self but whatever. Done today
    Day 12: did the stretches twice today cuz I was feeling energetic
    Day 13: did it twice again today. I think I’ll do it twice from now on
    Day 14: done twice 👍
    Day 15: was really busy today & it’s already 9pm so I’ll just take a rest day. Also just realized I’m skipping way more than I thought
    Day 16: reeaally had to force myself but managed to do it twice
    Day 17: couldn’t push my self, only did once
    Day 20: it seems I always skip 2 days in a row. Anyway, did it once
    Day 21: I only practiced the front splits today but I did so for 10 mins
    Day 22: I overestimated myself when I said I’d do this twice a day. But still, I’m increasing the time I spend on each stretch so yay I guess
    Day 23: wow I’m getting close to the finish line much faster than I thought! Done for today & hopefully no more skips
    Day 24: done
    Day 25: I’m dragging myself to do it these days, but at least it’s done
    Day 26: remember when I said no more skips? Yeah.. not so good with consistency
    Day 28: I know the finish line is so close, but I’ll have to be honest with myself & say that this is my limit. School is getting really hard & for the next year I want to make studying my priority,which means I won’t be able to continue. I’ll hopefully still do these stretches whenever I workout, but I won’t be working out often either. Yes that might not be enough but it’s better than nothing right?
    Anyways, this has been fun, but goodbye for now

      Hey so I don’t know if you know Anna Mcnulty but she’s a contortionist. She has these really effective 2 week challenges for splits. I started seeing really good results in a week so you’d should check her out! Hope this helps!

      Don’t push a stretch if it is painful. You want to feel a bit of a stretch, but not any pain. In fact, holding yourself in a slight stretch is more effective than pushing yourself too far. Anna Mcnulty’s videos will also be helpful as long as you don’t push yourself too far.

    I've been following this video every other day for about two or three months now and I'm happy to say I'm actually seeing myself improve. An issue I had before was not having a consistent routine to follow and sticking to this one had really helped.

    I’m a gymnastics team gymnasts and I can’t do my splits. But when I found the do this video for 30 days I decided to give it a go! I’m starting to improve my splits but not my middle split. The middle split hurts a lot but it’s not day 30 yet, it’s day 4 so I’m doing this everyday but just once because I don’t have a lot of time to do 2 in 1 day. Thank you for this video! It helps us a lot.❤❤❤

    I have been doing this tutorial with the one for the back for almost 2 weeks and I can see some improvement already. I will come back again in two weeks more.
    Edit 2 weeks after: I’m improving a lot, but some of the exercises are still difficult for me. If I skip one day, I notice it immediately. 💯 recommended! :)

    Moved from your flexibility tutorial to this video..now I'm here :) I'm so excited...funny thing is I don't want to get it that fast..I want to WOW myself when I am able to do them all the way without thinking about how long it will take to get there. The journey is the fun part.

    I am a male (i feel like i should mention this because males are typically less flexible than females) in highschool and i am today deciding i want to be flexible so i can take dance, and i think trying this out a good first step to me because of how stiff the muscles are that are engaged in doing a split. I did this and could barely do the exercises, but i am pushing myself to do this every day in hopes to see results so i’ll update when i get better

    Starting today, will update in 1 month on my progress. I decided to change up my stretching routine and am going with this video. I am currently 1 pillow off the ground for my side splits. Wish me luck :)
    Edited to add an update: there on my right leg im half a pillow away, my calf is touching the ground (barely). and my left leg isn't far behind
    Another edit: I GOT IT!
    Stretched legs about 12 minutes per day (these stretches but longer) and i got my split. Its still just on a good day, but still :)

    I'll actually try to commit to this and do the exercise 5x a week bc I'm super inflexible, I'll try to do 2 mins of splits/each leg instead of 1 min

    Day two: ✔️ Did ittt, only 1 min of stretching/each leg tho, was pretty discouraged because of the pain from Yesterday, but after doing the stretching I felt refreshed

    Thank you so much for this video!! I live in England and I'm hoping to go to a dance uni for 2022, which means I'll be attending auditions this year. I am in Advanced 1 ballet with the RAD but my middle split is sooo bad, as is my split with the right leg in front :/ this tutorial is so handy becauuse it's something short that I can do each day and help me to become prepared for my auditions!! Thank you so much :) Also, I have literally the exact same foot shape as you so your foot stretching excersise have also been life savers 😅❤️🇬🇧

    I'm going to complete a week doing this stretching, I'm a little flexible, I notice in the first days it was easier, then it started to get difficult for me, and now I notice a little progress, don't give up and keep going :)
    I got my front split in one leg yay:))
    What helped me was the warm up before stretching ;)
