I had purchased the version with 8gb ram, an i5, and 500gb ssd, but upgraded to 16GB of ram and added another TB of storage that I just didn't need from my desktop. And I'm am impressed that i can hit 70 fps with shaders on Minecraft if i mess with the settings a bit. While its nothing near my desktop with a OC 3070 and 32gb of ram, it can do everything i want it to at a decent enough performance. I like it.
3:52 This is the best statement about the RTX 3050 series. With its 4gb VRAM limitations, its honestly more like an improved GTX1650Ti, with DLSS support. But Ray tracing? Forget about it. Its a decent entry level laptop GPU, and for productivity its surprisingly capable. But if you want to play the latest games with ray tracing, this wont cut it.

I purchased the version with 8gb of ram and an i5 as well as an rtx 3050 instead of a 3050 ti. I find that the i5 processor still offers about the same performance and the rtx 3050 doesnt have as many features as the ti version but it has exactly the same performance as well. I upgraded it to 16gb of ram and all the costs including the extra ram, shipping and import fees were about 800€. I am really happy with my purchase so far. Definitely a good device.

Honestly not too bad. It is true that on the recent AAAs, you can't RTX + DLSS + high everything else. Do tweak it towards mid-high, based on the visual versus FPS impact for each game. It'll be okay. The laptop has some tricks up it sleeve (adaptive sync plus) for large FPS swings that dip below 48fps. It avoids huge stutters, avoids random micro-stutters, and it's pretty smooth down to 20fps or so which is about movie frame rates. Yes a movie is kinda choppy but it smooth-choppy, does that make sense? lol Anyhow do remember that in any recent AAA titles, you can't full-send all the sliders to the right UNLESS you have a 2070/3070 desktop equivalent. Which speaks $2000 in laptop for where i live. There are different 3050Ti offerings from different manufacturers that tip the balance to where you need it, be it screen quality/battery life/raw performance/weight/size/overall package. Do check them out. 3050Ti is right where it needs to be, only that it should really be called the 2050Ti. lol. And, there are a very select few games, in which it's engine cannot handle a 4GB VRAM scenario regardless of settings, so if those are your games, avoid this GPU.

In our testing it was fine. We can’t say much about the 3070 variant since we didn’t test that, but that would see plausible given how much more powerful the 3070 is.

I loved this more (without num keypad) one instead of that num keypad tuf dash...I always adore wedgy look of laptop and as a sober and clean interface keyboard laptop for me..laptop should have atleast 1 inch minimum space from sideways which this one has..only thing put me in vain that wish they had given RGB with that blinking effects which they had given in their nim keypad model! The G14 with that Ryzen 7 will be better if you’re doing anything using creative applications like Adobe or AutoCAD. The advantage to the TUF would be the larger screen size. So it’s your choice!

The dynamic boost only kicks in depending on the system load. Just like how we experienced, it really depends on the game and specific load that the system is going through at any point in time.
Die hard PC gamers are going to dog it out cause it's a budget laptop, and that's what your budget calls for, and don't realize everybody don't have the funds to purchase a $2,000 computer, so if you get one, make your own decision, not off super PC nerd gamers, or you'll put yourself into debt for something stupid. The temperature do jump about quite a bit throughout a load, but the average would be about 90. Fan noise however is pretty reasonable. Still we get you. Many people have different opinion and experience with Asus, so we do understand.

Always plug in if you’re gonna play any games. It’s not the fault of the GPU or CPU it’s you restricting how much power they draw. By having it unplugged you’re using battery power which halves the performance

As long as you're fine with running games at medium settings at 1080p, it'll last you a long while. Definitely go for the 3050Ti over the 1650 if at all possible, it is quite a bit better.

Does the CPU bottleneck the 3050ti? I heard the it severely bottleneck the 3070 variant.
In our testing it was fine. We can’t say much about the 3070 variant since we didn’t test that, but that would see plausible given how much more powerful the 3070 is.

No, this wouldn’t be that good for VR. It can do it, but not that great. You will want a 3060 and above ideally.

For playing game you should always plug your laptop.Your fps will increase dramatically.Plus plenty of tweaks can be done in pc to increase fps.
