Have I mentioned that as a kid, I played through this area no less than 8 times because I couldn't figure out how to quicksave and I kept having to reset everything? And then after I beat Odolwa, I forgot to save? And then after I finally saved, I accidentally deleted my file? This song triggers my PTSD.
You really capture each instrument's sound. An entire game's soundtrack could be replaced with your acapellas and it would feel almost as if nothing had changed.

When I first started this game on the 13th of February (I was born in 2000 so unfortunately my first system was a GameCube and GBA SP, although I did buy a NES) I didn't know what to expect. Now I'm onto the Stone Tower Temple, taking a break for side quests (just All Night Mask and Giants Mask left!) and I have to say, Majoras Mask is without a doubt my new favorite game of all time. I can now see why PBG and many others love this game so dearly. It's art, from its subtle hints, and symbolism to some incredibly mature themes (Grief THEORY) I can say that if I owned an art museum, I would keep this game on display. I

Also a 2000 baby, however I was lucky enough to still have an N64 then (I got Banjo-Tooie and my brother got Super Smash Bros in about 2006 for Christmas, what a year!) But I wasn't very good at it when I played it so I view this as a great opportunity to go through it again as a more mature player.

I bought the 3DS remake the minute it came out (literally!) and beat it in under a week with every mask and 15 hearts. I guess having a lot of Zelda experience in general helps.

Smooth, I'm loving the Majora's Mask, but i have a request. Whenever I play video games, music is always a major factor in how I enjoy them. Without a doubt, some of my favorite video game soundtracks of all time are the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon soundtracks. If you could, I would absolutely love it if you could do a song from those games! Even though the developers removed the dots that denote the Deku Scrub guards' line of sight during the night, it wasn't that hard to sneak through the gardens. If only I had discovered the quick access hole to the Bean Seller in the Outer Garden before I snuck through the Inner Gardens...
I remember being happy that I was able to sneak around the guards once again. Then I noticed an additional pillar of light in the Bean Seller's grotto, so I tried that out. That's when I noticed that new quick access hole. God dammit...
Quick access hole in the Outer gardens? Wut. What the heck are you talking about? I played the game like 5 or 6 times, and I have no clue what you mean.
***** If you go through the Inner Gardens, into the Bean Seller's hole (that came out wrong), you'll notice there's another exit. That exit leads you right next to the dirt patch outside the gardens. You can go back in the way you came. And yes, you could take that route at the beginning.

I honestly don't know where the love for MM comes from. I only beat it out of obligation, as a zelda fan, and I kept hearing people say I just hadn't gotten to where it gets good yet. ...it got better. it never got good... *shrug* I just don't get it.
I clearly remember when I got to this little stealth sequence/puzzle/projectile rooftop fight all rolled into one, I immediately knew I had a new favorite Zelda game. Over a decade later, and nothing has come close to matching how legitimately fun and challenging Majora's Mask was. Here's hoping the big open one on Wii-U is a contender.
I've always felt that Majora's Mask's soundtrack was... average... at best. Smooth McGroove's voice improves them up to the point of extreme loop-ability. Stone Tower Temple being the absolute BEST!

Man, this looks really good on 3DS. If both OoT and MM look this good handheld it might finally be time for me to shell out and buy them.
Or I might just get Majora's Mask AKA the best Zelda ever, and skip OoT, AKA a fairly meh Zelda.

I honestly don't know where the love for MM comes from. I only beat it out of obligation, as a zelda fan, and I kept hearing people say I just hadn't gotten to where it gets good yet.

I clearly remember when I got to this little stealth sequence/puzzle/projectile rooftop fight all rolled into one, I immediately knew I had a new favorite Zelda game. Over a decade later, and nothing has come close to matching how legitimately fun and challenging Majora's Mask was. Here's hoping the big open one on Wii-U is a contender.
I've always felt that Majora's Mask's soundtrack was... average... at best. Smooth McGroove's voice improves them up to the point of extreme loop-ability.
