I usually do a balcony and they normally have a sofa. My last cruise was interior and we had a table and chair. I guess I just like things organized 🤭Thanks for watching 💙🚢
@@CruiseSavvy I'm going on a cruise solo in an NCL studio cabin - no counter space! I am going to use ziplock bags for each - make up, toiletries, first aid & meds - and magnetic clip them to the wall of the sink area and vanity. The toiletries bag takes up too much space in my luggage, and I can tuck the ziplocks in between things in the carryon bag. I also use the clips for daily planner, excursion tickets, and my sun hat. Magnetic hooks for little crossbody purse, beach bag and jacket. Compression packing cubes to save space in the luggage and to put on shelves in the cabin. Another tip - use disposable shower caps over shoes and fit them in corners to save space in luggage and keep clothes from getting dirty.
@danacasey Wow!! Great ideas!! I don’t find the shoe organizer takes up space if you fold it and lay it flat the pack on top of it. Love your thinking with the zip lock bags!! Have a great cruise 🚢
Be sure to check that the cruise line allows shoe organizers. They are starting to say no because they scratch and damage the door. I now some people are using magnets to put on the wall instead.
A lot of videos can be universal, like the packing etc.. but I understand. If you just love cruising I invite you to hang out with us anyway. You never know when you may try a different type of adventure. 😃🛳️
We used 2 mini collapsible laundry hampers on our last cruise to store in the closets. It kept all the dirty laundry organized and off the floor/furniture! Instead of a shoe organizer (which was not allowed) we used a small mesh toiletry organizer with small pockets and a single hook to keep all bathroom essentials organized and then had all our medication/pharmacy stuff inside a single shelf inside one of the stateroom cabinets. We also used magnetic hooks for our lanyards and hats (as mentioned) and used an old used gift card with a hole punched through it and a magnetic hook to keep the lights on-so didn’t have to use our room key and just hung it up when leaving the room.
Magnetic vinyl white board , it's about 12x14 lives on my fridge normally and a couple of markers. It's totally thin and takes no space. Good to leave notes for steward, or myself, so I don't forget anything. Sunblock not just for the Caribbean. Winter transatlantic and Mediterranean I seriously needed it. Great video.
personal addition to #8, especially if you have small kids, a little thermometer! my son felt pretty warm on our last day but i couldn't tell if it was a fever or just being warm from being out in the sun, and there was no way to get a thermometer onboard to check and monitor it. i was told i could go to the medical facility the next day, but that seemed pointless since we were disembarking that day. just something to consider!
First cruise a few weeks ago, and yep we got really sunburned. Rookie mistake and our formal night pictures we're super red. And, I didn't have enough/proper after-sun options for both of us. Lesson learned.
Great vid. Princess's Medallions come with own lanyard & their system makes it very rare you need to touch anything with it. Once popped out of its default holder the medallion is the same size as an Apple AirTag and there's plenty on alternate holder, wristbands, etc for those.
@@CruiseSavvy we unfortunately don’t have it in Canada. An angel from my cruise fb group insisted on bringing me some as I’d never cruised before. I couldn’t thank her enough. I’ll make sure to grab some when entering the US from now on
Not quite sure what you mean by ABC stores but Bonine is available at most Pharmacies, Amazon, Walmart, Target etc. they do sell it on the ship but it’s very pricey and usually if you need it it’s a little too late to take it.
If you don’t want to buy the plastic luggage tags, packing tape, a hole punch, and a zip tie will be equally strong.
Wonderful idea!! Thanks for sharing.
You said you don't like hats and stuff on the couch...Most interior cabins don't even have a couch :) Stay safe.

Good call on the magnets.
Thx, I use them all the time.
Always pack a inexpensive rain poncho. I also laminate my luggage tag and use twine to tie them to the luggage at the port. Never encountered a issue
Two great ideas!!! Thank you for sharing with everyone.

Ahh! I am actually boarding today so I will ask. As well as check with other lines. Thank you.
I am bringing magnets so I can use them to hang as well.
I put a dab of hot glue on the hooks so they won't scratch.
I was able to use my shoe organizer without issue.
You have great advice I wish you included P & O cruises we go to the Caribbean on the Britannia next year

Take a old hotel card to stick in slot
Perfect!
YES!!! 😊 I used my library card once and it totally worked 😊
I use my actual sail card. Then 1 I don’t leave the lights on when I leave and 2 I don’t forget my sail card

PERFECT!!! All wonderful ideas. I will do those next time.
I bought luggage tag holders for cruise 5 years ago, just resold, cut to fit the holder I have. Not buying a different one for each cruise line.
Love that! Use what you have. 😃
Get those car tree air freshners. Hang in bathrooms and living area.
WONDERFUL idea!!! Thank you for sharing.

Great point! Especially when traveling with young children. Thank you! Hopefully he was okay.

Oh no!! We’ve all done it. Hopefully you enjoyed the rest of your first cruise. 😊
Great vid.

I love that!!! I wish all lines would use those.
Good, practical items 😊. I also bring a small fan with a built in phone bank and flashlight. Flashlight is a must for me.
Great ideas. Do you use the flashlight to get to your bathroom at night? I can see where that would come in handy 🤣
No. I have been in power outtages at hotels. And I drop things under or between the beds. Need my flashlight to find stuff.
Bonine saved my cruise last month
I can’t cruise without it!!

@CruiseSavvy if you go to Hawaii you'll know they're all over. I thick it stands for All Blocks Covered.
@@julieb7882 AHH well that explains it. 😁 I guess I need to go to Hawaii. One place on. my bucket list.
