I have now watched all of your videos to date. You have done a very good job planning, recording and editing these videos. I think you could handle larger video projects. Plus I think your sprinter van is pretty cool.
Thanks for watching!!! I have a few other items to showcase but yes I would like to record some of my longer adventures. It’s hard to find the desire to stop and film when you are caught in the moment. ;) I’ll start making plans for those projects. Thanks for the feedback! :)
If you are referring to the dash, I used rivets, but you can also use thick and short screws with 3M double sided tape. I made mine a few years ago and it’s affordable, but now you can buy the NAVIDOK Ram mount for Sprinter which uses the cubbys to secure the track. Regarding the upper windshield mount, I riveted two ram ball to the plastic, which is removable, and I added a usb outlet for power. If you off road, to hold up to vibrations, the plastic requires the addition of two small screws at the top on each side, which goes through the retaining clips. I’ve had mine for 4 years, with extensive off road trail driving, and it holds well with my Garmin Overlander as well as my Weboost antenna. 👍
That’s a more tricky install, I used rivets backed with washers to add 2 ram ball to the plastic cover. I then added added a screw on each side of the plastic tabs connecting to windshield to prevent the additional weight from including the cover.
What is it with van lifers and desert areas. I think you guys are sick. There is a world of green and other colours out there you should look for it and engage in it. There is a real problem with van lifers.
Absolutely, my favorite places are in the Oregon, Washington, and BC forests! During winter, the deserts of Utah, Arizona, and Nevada are a great escape to the cold. :) I will definitely post more forest climate videos in the future.
This was great to hear. Something I will have to grow into being I am techy impaired.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
WOW. and i thought i was a garmin and ram mounts fanboy! hat's off, brother! great video.
Thanks for watching! Yeah I love them! When I worked for the fire department, they were super useful. :)

Awesome!
Thanks! :)
How do you mount it up there?

What did you use for mounting the Garmin to the rear view mirror spot?

Did you remove the radio for installing the ram rail?
No, didn’t have to because I saw a video showing what’s directly underneath that plastic and it was empty. Obviously, don’t drill deep. :)
