Thanks for making some suggestions on the gear you should have. I’m going to get some of the coyote deflators! I think those will make things a lot easier. Also the dual hose set up. Great video! Thanks again for all the great info. 😎👍🏻
Hi, Sorry to repeat this question here also (I posted in your new video also) Thank you for sharing great updates on the Sprinter upgrades. I also liked your video on the Sprinter Agile ARB Locker that you showed in this video . Here you emphasize the ARB Locker value …. My question is, the following: Is the Agile ARB locker a big game changer for sand driving the Sprinter? I do lots of beach driving in very remote beaches overseas alone with my wife and the sand is deep and soft. Is the Sprinter (2020 4x4 with the low range) capable enough to handle deep soft sands if it has the Agile ARB locker or it is to much of a risk (of getting stuck) in a remote area and I am better off with a Bronco or a Lexus 4x4?
Good question. The factory 4x4 system does amazing overall but has limitations which can often time be overcome with a little momentum and line choice. However, accelerating to clear an obstacle will cause additional wear and tear on the vehicle. Prior to locker installation I had to keep momentum otherwise I would get stuck and I would have to try backup or pull out my traction boards. Ever since I installed the locker I can clear obstacles slowly and I no longer have to use my traction boards. No matter your configuration, in deep sand, deflating your tire is most important. Yes, the factory 4x4 can drive in deep sand without locker in 4Lo but you will need to keep momentum and higher rpm. The locker helps tremendously in the sand and I recommend keeping it active on the beach or sand dunes. I’ve driven countless time in those situations with both configurations, and if you are planning on exploring remote places in loose terrain , then a locker will offer better performance and peace of mind. 👍
@@gearforexperiencesThank you for that. Your experience with the locker and the feedback is extremely valuable. So the other question is does the Agile off-road RIP Kit suspension upgrade also help in sand driving. Specifically the yo-yo action of the sprinter when it just before it gets stuck (see this video showing the issue ruclips.net/video/nKlsQW_nnBM/видео.htmlsi=jbEa1fW4RFyyH8Vc )
Good info but I also think there’s a lot of nuance in how you deal with the sprinters traction control, and the turbo’s behavior at idle, especially for 99% of us who don’t have the rear locker (yet) when faced with sticky situations. I so wish agile would also bring to market their prototype atlas transfer case. Not mini Sprinter travelers I have the luxury of available space for the Earth to anchor. But if you absolutely had to, you could bury your spare tire to get the same anchor point. If it ever comes to that, I’ll probably need a divorce lawyer.
Thanks for watching! 👍 1. The earth anchor is a cheap small assurance and much easier than burying your spare. 2. The locker isn’t cheap but it does help climbing without the need for as much momentum and 4ETS. 3. The Atlas Transfer case is now available. It helps tremendously off road but you lose 4Hi open center (AWD) for snowy roads.
What about the Agile RIP Kit suspension upgrade. Does it help in sand also? I mean the yo-yo bouncing of the Sprinter just before it digs into to sand when going up a big hill of sand. It seems to me that is also a reason for the deep sand weakness
@1:56 the tiretread are completely clogged, if you had sprayed silicone on the tires before driving up that hill the treads would been clean and able to do its job. ;-)
Merci, Très bien fait!
Merci! 🙌

😂 haven’t heard of that technique, maybe next video! 👍 Or I could have activated 4x4 and got out! 😅
@@gearforexperiences When the treads are clogged, you don´t have any grip, you can also spray it inside the wheel-arc to prevent mud building up. ;-)
Hi would you like to review some led rock lights?
