Big Thunder Mountain Ride - Tokyo Disneyland

One of the best rides in Tokyo Disneyland during our visit in 2015 and I got to do it with my 7y/o daughter. It's a thrilling roller coaster of highs lows and turns. Excellent and not for the faint hearted.

This Big Thunder is themed after Utah's Monument Valley and the land of Westernland is also themed to Colorado state and the Gulf of Mexico and its connecting Mississippi River for the Rivers of America and themes of more Arizona, Texas and New Mexico are in the sub-land of Critter Country.

This version of Big Thunder mountain looks as if someone misread the blueprints and made it too smooth. The other versions followed the contours of the ground causing it to go up and down unevenly. This one is just looks like it goes…smooooooth.

It has one 20 ft or so drop, a lot of 10 ft, a lot of turns compared to drops though, it’ll leave you begging to go again.
