Hi Kevin, what happens once I leave my educational institution, will I still have access to the installed version on my PC?
My school qualifies and my teachers have said we have access to office 365 but when you have to fill out that form you i cannot recieve the verification code because the school blocks any emails from outside of the district any help with that? besides contacting the IT program at school because i can assure you no change will come of this policy.
I really want to know who thought this was a good idea. Charging for something that has always been free and the free version now is worse than the paid version. Which the free version use to be. So now in order to type my work because my teacher doesn't have the work on google docs I either have to go to the computer lab or drop 150$ or 70$. what a joke.
You can use google doc and then export your file into a word doc or pdf for free-- but im sorry for your frustrations

1) Whether these plans should be bought only by the administrator or students can buy on their own?
2) Which services are available for which plan ? (although it was mentioned on website, it's bit difficult to interpret)
3) Whats the difference between personal account and the account that was provided by the institution?

I advise schools on how to utilise tech for student with dyslexia. I love the Learning Tools functionality and promote it a LOT. Many of my students and teachers I work with have Office 2016 or older and therefore cannot use them. I advise them to use speak selected text and Word online. Word online immersive reader is great for reading but not great for creating and editing students ownwork.
I had no idea students and teachers could get the intstalled version free. Personally I have paid 365 account.
Yes lovely shop I was watching a Microsoft training video on Office Lens that said anyone in education could get it for free. I then started dto research how and that is how I found your helpful videos.
When I followed the link you provided it is clear that schools have to be enrolled in the scheme.
When I click down onto this I saw a pricing page.
From what I see the A1 option is only for online versions. Which appears to contradict the information in your video and on the previous Microsoft video I've watched.
Please, please, please advise as I am currently creating videos about Microsoft learning tools and immersion readers for my students I want to give them correct information. If I tell busy teachers they can get Microsoft office 365 for free and they spend time trying to do so unsuccessfully I will be very unpopular.

Thanks for the note! Yes, schools need to enroll in A3 or A5 for students to get access to the desktop apps. With an A1 subscription, students and teachers get access to the online apps for free. Hope that helps!

Thanks for a very helpful video. I am planning to factory reset my laptop and I'm worried about uninstalling the Office apps and not be able to use it again. I just found out through the website that my school is eligible for all the Office apps. I didn't even know that access to the apps are covered in our tuition fees. TO ANYONE WHO IS STRUGGLING TO GET MS OFFICE ON THE YOU PC INSTEAD OF BROWSER..... try to download and open a word/power point/ excel document online or what ever. you should be greeted with a 'welcome to office 365' pop up. from here you should see a list of options down the side saying stuff like, 'buy office' or 'enter activation code'. click on the one which asks for a code and then click on ' i already have a activated account'. you should be able to sign into you school email via a pop up for outlook. once signed in you should be able to download all the full office components for your desktop. hope this helps :)

I had to present my ppt next morning and after finishing my ppt when I tried to add effects and animation it was not working coz I don't have genuine MS office on my pc and my ppt doesn't had those specific functions which I needed to add animations and effects but after watching this video and installing MS office 365 I was able to edit my presentation nicely. Thanks for the video. I recently tried a Microsoft 365 trial (1-month) and it messed up my regular basic Outlook suite because I couldn't revert back to it after the trial was up. This student option buys me time to figure out a permanent fix.

Hi when I try to downlaod the apps it doesnt have an option it just says install softwares when I click it all I can download is Skype and Apps on my phone I need it to be downloaded on my desktop as when I click word or powerpoint links from my school website it still says i need to buy it.

Hey Kevin, whenever I login in office 365 with student account and try to install office, it doesn't show other install options due to which I cant download ms office on my desktop.
Me also same it shows install software option only and how can students have a phone number. You have to enter a phone number to do it. How

Kevin I created an account a few years ago and given a 5TB OneDrive storage. This was in 2018. Whilst I can still access the account for others task such as word and excel etc. its accessing folders I've created and uploaded via OneDrive is the issue. "Something's not right" comes up each time. I've managed to find eventually after two years a list of administrators, one of whom is a OneDrive admin, but the email response says that it cannot reach the server (Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups). I can see all the files and folders. I failed to do a backup. Any suggestions on what I can do other than emailing admin? If your response is too sensitive for youTube do you have a contact system I can use?

Hey sorry to bother but did you fix this?? I’m having the same issue, uni starts on the first of October so I’m guessing you can only download it after the academic year starts and not before??? I’m not sure
@@Agustielle Ask your university's ICS/IT/System Administration department for the licence. If and only if they provides, you can download and use office365.

Hey! It doesn't show the install office button on my page. It only shows you install different choices which leads to the skype installation website. Please Help.
Basically you use your school email and your MS Office Password to "Activate"
Are there any extra applications you can use with the 365 student subscription compared to the free online version of office? For instance is one drive with 1TB also available when you have no subscription?

Bro the problem is not that just, if you are a student then let me inform you that you have also became the admin of your college's Office 365 account which has your name on the your college's office 365 account. It's really a bad thing that they didn't notify us that the college should have purchased that license before students can use it. Bad service from Microsoft

@@berkesahan3766 well, you get ms office free only if your institution or organisation has subscription for that and of they have it then you must go to your college administration department and and get the code from them and then you can get ms office for free or the other way is that you ask them to add your email to their students on their ms office portal.
But even if that doesn't work because your institution didn't have the subscription then go for online activators for your office 365.

Hi Kevin, I have Microsoft 2016 installed on my computer. I am taking an Access class and had to download Office 365 to be able to have Access 2019. I signed in with my school email thru my 2016 app. Does this automatically update my app to be able to have the 2019 features I need to complete the assignments? I am completely lost. I run the Office 365 for my educational institution. I have the Office 365 A1 and when I go to assign a product license it states Office 365 A1 for Faculty. How do i create a subset for the Students or do I just add them to the Faculty licenses?
Hi. When i log into any of the apps, it tells me to sign in and when i do (on excel) the "option" bar on the left side becomes fade/ unavailable and does not allow me to open a blank workbook

You can only use the desktop apps when the school takes the A3 plan minimum. If A1, you can only use the website app, which is limiting the student’s accessibility to many functions in desktop app that are not in website app. So how do we solve this to get the desktop app?

If your school doesn't terminate your id you can still use it . But if your organization doesn't terminate you id you can very well use it !

I have Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation on my computer and whenever I try to open the PowerPoint it would say something like this: "PowerPoint failed to start correctly last time. Starting PowerPoint in safe mode will help you correct or isolate a startup problem in order to succesfully start the program. Some functionality may be disabled in this mode. Do you want to start PowerPoint in safe mode?". When I click " Yes" next it would say : "PowerPoint failed to launch in safe mode. Do you want to start repair?" also for that one I click "Yes" . It would always fail. I need advise: How to fix it? I have presentation coming few days and I need to prepare last pages a soon as possible.
You can always try opening online via office.com. You can upload and open the presentation via office.com. See if that gets around the error.
