Got my Heresy 2 in 89. They were the round cup 4ohm, no riser version, I believe 1986. They were in the Navy Resale in Hawaii for 444.00 I got to the register, lady smiled and said 44.00 bout pissed my pants. They are still in use today. Plan on doing a restoration in 2027 on those, my AL3 Lascalas from 1990 and my Bozak A4000 Moorish set. Those are my retirement plans.
Excellent review of the Heresy Series! I have a pair of the Heresy III Capitol 75 Limited Edition with the signature plate on the back, that I bought new in 2018. They sound absolutely fantastic connected to my vintage Sansui 5050 receiver. In terms of the bass rated down to 58 hz, not sure if it is even relevant, as my next door neighbor once informed me that her concrete walls in her house were shaking when I had the volume cranked up on some rock music - no exaggeration! Lol
Nice pairing, Sansui & Klipsch! The 5050 is a nice rich sounding unit...my very first Vintage receiver & the piece that is responsible for my addiction, lol.
I got lucky. I found my Heresy Series 1 in a pawn shop for $200. I used them for 25 years until I recently got my Klipschorns. Nice review.
Klipschorn...drool.

Love stories like this! BTW, how do you like your Bozak?
