The secret about Kefka is he is not unpredictable lunatic. He is a very manipulative and calculating sadistic nihilist. Cyan, in contrast, is a virtuous and principled individual. But, it is true Kefka was traumatized as the first Magitek expierement gone bad by empire. Still, it is no justification for his countless atrocities in ff6. And that Joker-facade plus his true seriously sinister inner form causes us all 2 underestimate him at first. This is what makes Kefka such a masterful antagonist to the party members.

A villain who the objective on doing the evil is because he LOVE CHAOS. What would be more evil than "I do the evil 'cause I have fun with it!"? Love him or die in his hands! Kefka for President! lol xD
Dancing Madly on the Back of the One Winged Angel. Just an incredible mashup of great songs! And I must say, Dream Theater really sits well in this song. If I didn't know better, I'd mistake this for one of their songs.
It is said that the final boss for FF6 is supposed to represent the Divine Comedy, and Dante's(The Hero's) journey thru Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven. Fahrizal Tawakkal listen to the whole original song for dancing mad and you'll notice that it is the origin for one winged angle and a couple other final fantasy songs which explains why a bit of one winged angle lyrics would not sound outof place
I wish someone would petition for a 3D/HD version of Final Fantasy VI instead of FFVII. I mean a lot of people missed this game and never got the opportunity to play it. That and Kefka (the Original) in 3D HD would be awesome.
The thing is, FFVII is easy to make a 3D/HD remake because it originally was a 3D game, so all you need to do is enhance the graphics and iron out a few flaws. With FFVI it was originally a 2D game composed of sprites, so its infinitely harder to create a 3D rendition.
Kefka Palazzo Not really all that hard Mr. God of magic. If they could render Terra and yourself in Dissidia then they can certainly turn the entire environment 3d. Wouldn't even need to be epic class graphics. I'd be happy if someone remade the whole game on unity 3d or some such and just put in updated versions of the music with real instruments in the game. I'd buy that game for certain. But then square enix does tend to treat its remakes/sequels like shit. I mean anyone remember how the Chrono Ressurection project got canceled even though 99% of the profit was going to square enix and they hadn't done anything but remake chrono trigger in 3d. Idiotic in the extreme. So I'm not holding out much hope unfortunately.
Kefka is truly an amazing villain. Who would have thought that there is so much potential for a great game on a system as old as the Super Nintendo I prefer Sephiroth, and Seymour is my favorite, but Kefka is and always will be one of the best villains in the history of video games.
Kefka was such an effective villain because he was the antithesis of what the entire narrative of the his respective game was. FF6 had characters trying to find their place and find meaning in life, when Kefka on the opposite side of the spectrum saw life as meaningless and not worth anything.
LordMalice6d9 that's his beauty. He wasn't evil. He was just bat shit crazy. There was no reason for anything he did. No tragic back story, no brain washing, no hypnosis. He was just out of his fucking mind and it was beautiful.

Liam Toye When I said that, I was referring to how the quality of Final Fantasy VI can easily be compared to video games created in the modern day, and how simply incredible FFVI was and still is, despite the limitation of 16 bits. For its time, like Final Fantasy VII, was probably unlike anything else - and I'm fascinated by the fact that it still is today.
this remix has many elements that boost the intensity and increase the fear and gives you a better glimpse at chaotic madness. I really enjoyed this. Has a metal feel, anime feel, good amount of funk and antiquity.
The portrait of Kefka, expetional. I take my hat off to the artist. The music, unbelievable....In my opinion, even with One Winged Angel mixed in, it is one of the best remakes to Kefka's theme... I look forward to hearing more from the creator of this theme's version. Mad Kudos

While my favorite villain from Final Fantasy will always be Exdeath (partly because FFV was the first FF game I played, and I went in blind, not having any of the story ruined for me), Kefka is easily the best villain from the franchise, accomplishing the most out of any villain I've seen in a game (with the possible exception of Nyarlathotep of Persona 2), or in fiction in general for that matter. Aces, Kefka... aces.
I am honestly in awe at how awesome and underappreciated this is. Fucking awesome. I'm not 100% through it but I hear Symphony X influences and some really really strong Dream Theater influences (+ a part from Metropolis Pt 1/Dance Of Eternity), and that's fucking cool.

Well fucking done in other words. The rest is great too, but the first movement is the best part.

Kefka's goal was not the destruction of all life and hope. He simply says that in response to the party's statement that "life will go on as long as there is hope" as a sort of "oh yeah?" comeback. Up until that moment, Kefka was pretty happy just sitting in his tower and tormenting the world at his whim. If he had wanted to destroy everything, he had an entire year to do it before Celes came around. Kefka didn't have any long-term goals. That's what makes him Kefka.
