Fahrizal Tawakkal listen to the whole original song for dancing mad and you'll notice that it is the origin for one winged angle and a couple other final fantasy songs which explains why a bit of one winged angle lyrics would not sound outof place
Kefka's goal was not the destruction of all life and hope. He simply says that in response to the party's statement that "life will go on as long as there is hope" as a sort of "oh yeah?" comeback. Up until that moment, Kefka was pretty happy just sitting in his tower and tormenting the world at his whim. If he had wanted to destroy everything, he had an entire year to do it before Celes came around. Kefka didn't have any long-term goals. That's what makes him Kefka.
While my favorite villain from Final Fantasy will always be Exdeath (partly because FFV was the first FF game I played, and I went in blind, not having any of the story ruined for me), Kefka is easily the best villain from the franchise, accomplishing the most out of any villain I've seen in a game (with the possible exception of Nyarlathotep of Persona 2), or in fiction in general for that matter. I wish someone would petition for a 3D/HD version of Final Fantasy VI instead of FFVII. I mean a lot of people missed this game and never got the opportunity to play it. That and Kefka (the Original) in 3D HD would be awesome.
The thing is, FFVII is easy to make a 3D/HD remake because it originally was a 3D game, so all you need to do is enhance the graphics and iron out a few flaws. With FFVI it was originally a 2D game composed of sprites, so its infinitely harder to create a 3D rendition.

Whatever JENOVA becomes when she "Reunites" with Sephiroth's dead body was a crap character in my oppinion.
I love the way Kefka dresses/looks because it's absolutely insane for an adult man to dress like a clown for fun, yet he STILL somehow ended up being promoted to general and leading an entire army. I understand why Sephiroth would be a general - he looks the part. But Kefka? Who in their right mind would let that man anywhere near thousands of men with firepower? It's such a weird and great little detail.
2:36 between movements 1 and 2 reminds me of Dream Theater. This Dying Soul specifically. Oh, hey, Metropolis Pt. 1 quote for the win! That explains it.
Sephy nearly became a new being which would essentially be the planet itself and be able to control every thought, every action of life itself. Kefka became the source of all magic. The god of magic.
Yeah but a pun only works if it is actually playing off of something - it needs two legs to stand on. There is no relevance to prancing nor fathers. It just makes the title sound dumb. If it was a parody of dancing mad it would work, but it's not, its a remix.
shag stars That's a great point too. I wonder if they would work with each other for awhile and then try to destroy each other like other cliché villain groups try to do. Lol.
The first movement is absolute perfect remix of the first movement in Dancing Mad. Grandiose, rocking, and perfectly sums up Kefka's destructive nature while also fitting a battle against a god who also happens to be underneath that godhood a single-minded man tortured by his own insanity. Well fucking done in other words. The rest is great too, but the first movement is the best part.
Crazy fact for you music lovers... starting with the fast DM melody from 8:17 all the way through 9:34 you can pulse a dotted-eighth subdivision and it'll follow the main rhythm despite all the mixed-meter. Through the transition, the dotted-eighth becomes the eighth-note all the way to the end. You might need to pick up the tempo just a bit, but it's barely noticeable. Awesome metric modulation, whether it was intended or not. Also, nice DT reference.
Just kidding, really. In all honesty, this is an awesome arrangement on Prince of Darkness' part, effortlessly weaving together the final boss themes of the two greatest Final Fantasy villains into one epic musical package. I give this piece a perfect score. 5/5

+TobyTime Desidia sheds a lot more light on Kefka as a villain. Sephiroth was a good villain, but then again he dies before the start of FF7. Sephiroth from before the JENOVA thing is awesome, but in the main part of FF7 itself he was lacking.
It's such a weird and great little detail.
hijo de mami
This makes me want to play the game again! Even though I just re-played it 3 months ago
Un. Fucking. Real. Loved the Symphony X and DT shout outs.
I love the little guitar tease at 3:46 It's so Kefka.
Wow... just wow... I`m using this for D&D now...
2:36 between movements 1 and 2 reminds me of Dream Theater. This Dying Soul specifically. Oh, hey, Metropolis Pt. 1 quote for the win! That explains it.
I don't even know what to say. This is just.... *yes*.
probably the best version
Sephy nearly became a new being which would essentially be the planet itself and be able to control every thought, every action of life itself. Kefka became the source of all magic. The god of magic.
Love the song for sure, everything that went into it but why "-Prancing Dad"?
OC Remix songs tend to have punny names like that.
Yeah but a pun only works if it is actually playing off of something - it needs two legs to stand on. There is no relevance to prancing nor fathers. It just makes the title sound dumb.
If it was a parody of dancing mad it would work, but it's not, its a remix.
@@calebchild4467 I'm not denying that, I'm just saying that's how they often do it. I agree it's a bit silly.
best remix ever
I like the little One Winged Angel mix in there.
Best Dancing Mad on the tube.
I could see the Joker and Kefka being friends. They pretty much have the same goals and both like to clown around.
XLpug I think that's why they would hate each other. They'd probably try to kill each other at the first chance.
+Charles Lupula The joker actually wouldn't do that, there is more destruction with kefka around so why not?
shag stars That's a great point too. I wonder if they would work with each other for awhile and then try to destroy each other like other cliché villain groups try to do. Lol.
***** Lol, true true. 😂
+Necrosis Pain bruh, Kefka destroyed the world lol. It's painfully clear who's superior.
Sounds like its from castlevainia SotN i love it.
Wow. Don't know how I missed this one from OCremix.
Good shit.
Extra Credits did indeed choose well. Also, to Blackorb, that is a PERFECT Kefka picture. :D
Hahaha, love all the many sweet eloges to Dream Theater
3:28 Nice The Dance of Eternity reference.
well spotted :P
Dream motherfuckin' Theater
lmao that riff is in so many of their songs tbh
I played the game a thousand times, read about the story in so many places and... just never heard anything about this.
First one minute is pure ecstasy.
