There is LITERALLY a Dream Theater riff in this that was thrown in there, that they usually just throw in the middle of the song. The influence is fairly obvious. Cool song
I love the fact that the ominous latin chanting you chose for the One Winged Angel part simply stated. "My son, my son." Rather than the full resolute "Come, come my son, o come and deliver me death." A line that only shows up in the Advent Children remix.
Risky. Very risky. Many people tried to arrange Dancing Mad and One-Winged Angel. Complicated, powerful pieces. But you even tried to combine them and even gave them your special note, without estranging them. Awesome work, well done. Master 植松伸夫 sure would be proud.
The ballad of the Heartless Angels is what I would call this. But this is easily one of the best OC Remixes ever done. Wow. Impressed on all levels. This could have easily went bad fast but it's just on a level of great all its own.
Gotta admit, it's been a while since I can say I actually loved a Final Fantasy remix; a lot of the stuff lately seems outside my narrow range of interests in remix genres, but this one was absolutely phenomenal. Congrats to Prince of Darkness for one of the most gripping remixes I've heard in years.
Oh gosh what a great memory! That first time, after EVERYTHING.... You start that battle. The music the scenery, the fight, ALL the characters involved like that.... Wow, it was so amazing. This version does that such justice.
This is an example of a song of pure genius. Know how I know that? It's an 11-minute song that has something essential in every millisecond. That's kind of breathtaking.
Jesus Christ. Words really can't describe the feeling I'm getting of hearing my 2 favorite FF songs meshed together in such a beautiful and intricate way. Thank you so much for this!! 🤘🤘
I nearly cried. This is too epic for words - and with a reference to my favorite band embedded within it, to boot. I genuinely feel like I need to send the remixer a stipend now, just as payment for generally being AWESOME. THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR THIS GIFT TO OUR PLANET.
@SilverMario1534 This was actually originally done in mid 2010 for Dwelling of Deuls. It obviously won first place lol. But this is the slightly remixed version from last year he did for his album PuD's DuDs. There's a hilarious story behind the conception of this epic remix if you decide to look into it on Tony's website.
yes. any rendition of this song HAS to be good. mixed with one winged angel. and 9:38 on is epic as per usual. thank you OC Remix for an amazing upload for the weekend.
A rousing ballad that wraps us in the unctuous coilings of HEAVY METAL, it is a journey across the immeasurable reaches of space and time, glorying in the vastness of subatomic particles, the scant span between stars, an eternity found in a moment, aeons passed in a mere twelve minutes. You will laugh, you will cry, and maybe... just maybe... you'll learn a little about yourself.
Kefka and Sephiroth, ignoring their fanboys' demands to fight, have decided to simply start taking the world over. Through the power of orchestrator music and rock. All hail.
How they made it more awesome I have no idea, it's like adding sugar to snickers... But somehow this sugar plays ukulele, explodes, tap dances, and cosplays deidara all at the same time. Pure epic.
this feels like a revised national anthem for America, but as it plays, the president performs a dark blood ritual which raises a massive 3 headed eagle that breathes fire and laser beams from the eyes.
@Agentrjdark I was mentioning to a friend how excellently handled this mix is, and said it reminded me of dream theater. THE MOMENT I said that, the quote from "Metropolis" happened, and I nearly JUMPED out of my chair.
Thund Quimera Engine Yeah, 3:12 is definitely a musical quote of Holst's "Mars" that Symphony X also uses rifftastically in the Prelude portion of "Divine Wings of Tragedy".
That... was... SUPERB! Two awesome songs for two awesome villains! (No, I'm not a Sephiroth or Kefka fanboy, I just think they're good villains.) And mixed them in like this! Seemless!
I don't know about one to describe, but I know two words that have been elevated to a higher plane of existence for their presence in this song: feta cheese.
Awman, nearly four minutes in, and I hear a few notes that sound like "Neener neener neener!" It's as if Kefka's actually taunting the listener through the guitar there!
I know jack about music, but after some contemplation, a little Mass Effect 3, and more than a couple of replays, I did in fact decide to keep my feet.
Sweet Jesus, it's as if Nobuo Uematsu got together with Dream Theater and Trans-Siberian Orchestra to make one song of pure epic awesome.
Hope this helps

I actually had to replay that part to make sure I heard it right. It was awesome.
i know right? seriously awesome. i love this song.
Unclesatin Yeah, and here I was thinking "Octavarium should have sounded like this." And honestly, this sounds like Symphony X and DT had a baby.
yeah I would agree there, maybe you can show octavarium this song haha
it's Metropolis pt. 1 right?
I love the fact that the ominous latin chanting you chose for the One Winged Angel part simply stated. "My son, my son." Rather than the full resolute "Come, come my son, o come and deliver me death." A line that only shows up in the Advent Children remix.

So a few days ago I was browsing through the dancing mad remixes, but none of them did the original justice. But now it's here!
Eleven minutes, forty six seconds of goosebumps later...and my face is stuck like this 0.0
YOU, TOO?! ... Four months later, how are you feeling? LOL
SwordOfAslan
Still stuck.

Josh L I guess insurance doesn't cover reconstructive surgery due to OCR damage, eh?
SwordOfAslan
Probably not...

Josh L That stinks. The ladies still find you handsome, though, right?
Love that Symphony X "The Divine Wings of Tragedy" section!! @3:11
How about that Metropolis cameo at 3:31?
EDIT: Now I'm noticing other cameos such as Black Light Machine by Frost*....
Gotta admit, it's been a while since I can say I actually loved a Final Fantasy remix; a lot of the stuff lately seems outside my narrow range of interests in remix genres, but this one was absolutely phenomenal. Congrats to Prince of Darkness for one of the most gripping remixes I've heard in years.
still one of the greatest remixes ever
Oh gosh what a great memory! That first time, after EVERYTHING.... You start that battle. The music the scenery, the fight, ALL the characters involved like that.... Wow, it was so amazing. This version does that such justice.
oops, didn't mean to post that. I did a copy/paste, meh whatever. you all are intelligent enough to deduce it.
This is an example of a song of pure genius. Know how I know that? It's an 11-minute song that has something essential in every millisecond. That's kind of breathtaking.
As was said, if Kefka and Sephiroth made a song of hatred together, this would be it. IN-SANE.
The Dancing Mad x One Winged Angel combo is excellent
Jesus Christ. Words really can't describe the feeling I'm getting of hearing my 2 favorite FF songs meshed together in such a beautiful and intricate way.
Thank you so much for this!! 🤘🤘
I don't see myself prancing to this. Perhaps I should have children first.
After all these long long long years this might still be my favorite remix...like ever....of anything....ever
I love how much effort was put into this. It is one of OCRemix' greatest.
Also, dat choir at 1:32...freaking awesome
there's not much more that hasn't already been said about this but...
this is glorious
This is easily my favorite video game music remix ever.
True that
I believe it to be one of the best for sure done so far! It will be remembered.
Normally when I say something is beyond awesome....its when I can't describe how awesome it is. But this....This is beyond beyond beyond awesome!
The sense of empowerment from 10:38 on is amazing.
best arrangement of Dancing Mad ever. oh wait, I mean best arrangement of One Winged Angel ever. oh wait, I mean...
This remix is the definition of going above and beyond what is expected. BEST REMIX EVER!!!!
@SilverMario1534 This was actually originally done in mid 2010 for Dwelling of Deuls. It obviously won first place lol. But this is the slightly remixed version from last year he did for his album PuD's DuDs. Absolutely love this as much as I do love bacon.
This is one of the few tunes that is guaranteed to knock your socks off in the 1st 2 seconds of the song.
12 minutes of pure awesomeness. I'm glad it never finishes.
Best 11 and a half minutes of glorious remixed awesomeness ever!
This is the most epic remix of Dancing Mad I have ever heard.
0:00-11:45, finally something that does justice to Dancing Mad!!!!
Holy crap. I had goosebumps almost the entire time, but the parts that REALLY got to me started at 3:48, 4:38, 6:20, 7:03, and 9:36
This track gets the guitar So damn right.
I hear so many remixes that don't get it right but this one nails it.
I can't stop listening to this remix, it plays constantly when I'm on my one and a half-hour powerwalks~
Jag känner igen dig från loading.se :) Hej!
Haha! Ja ibland händer det att man ser ansikten man känner igen från andra sidor =) Internet är tydligen inte sååå stort ändå!
This is one of the best OCRemixes I've heard yet. GREAT WORK!
How am I just now listening to this! Oh man. 4:24 is incredible.
Goosebumps started for me at around 7:00. Fan-Fing-tastic
It's difficult to comprehend how awesome this music is.
It's on, if not above, the level of many other amazing classic rock songs of the 80's....
The only thing this remix is missing is the Kefka laugh soundbyte. Brought it down from a 10\10 to a 9\10. Still amazing XD
That's it. I'm never even gonna try submitting a remix again. So much epicness, there's no competing possible with this o_O
Truly an epic mix. Appropriate for the themes of two Final Fantasy final bosses.
hands down one of the best remixes i've heard in a while!! great job guys ^^
yes. any rendition of this song HAS to be good. mixed with one winged angel. and 9:38 on is epic as per usual. thank you OC Remix for an amazing upload for the weekend.

OMG! Love Sephy and Kefka! Thank you so much for combing the 2 themes together! This is epic! Sephy and Keka pairing would own ALL!!!!!!!!
On this night, within our dreams, the final fantasy of the one winged angel is dancing mad.
God-tier remix. 11/10
10:41 HOLY CRAP
YOU GUYS I CAN'T STOP HAVING GOOSEBUMPS
THIS is the Jewel that OC Remix needed for Dancing Mad!
Kefka and Sephiroth, ignoring their fanboys' demands to fight, have decided to simply start taking the world over.
Through the power of orchestrator music and rock.
All hail.
An absolutely incredible remix that preserves and honors the original in amazing brilliance. INCREDIBLE.
Reading Beserk to this 😏🥃
Yes it definitely sounds on the level of 80's Rock. Absolutely astounding and I find myself amazed by it every time I listen to it.
Most epic description ever made!
okay, this was absolutely fantastic. ahhhh I can't get rid of the goosebumps!
How they made it more awesome I have no idea, it's like adding sugar to snickers...
But somehow this sugar plays ukulele, explodes, tap dances, and cosplays deidara all at the same time. Pure epic.
Take a bow son! This song has been immense!
this feels like a revised national anthem for America, but as it plays, the president performs a dark blood ritual which raises a massive 3 headed eagle that breathes fire and laser beams from the eyes.
Pure awesome, from beginning to end. All Hail to the Prince of Darkness!
@Agentrjdark I was mentioning to a friend how excellently handled this mix is, and said it reminded me of dream theater. THE MOMENT I said that, the quote from "Metropolis" happened, and I nearly JUMPED out of my chair.
At certain parts, the choir in the background actually sounds as if they were singing "Sephiroth."
Yup, this is overwhelmingly positive.
This is so good even ultros is happy.
Symphonic electro power metal is the only genre that really fits this song and I've never known until now.
Dream Theater @ 3:30? ;-)
BTW this is easily the best take on Final Fantasy music I have ever heard
I was going to comment that this whole track sounded like it was remixed by Dream Theater... But you beat me to it.
Mike Mertes It's definitely a nod to the Octavarium album. Can't remember which song.
Yeah, I find multiple Dream Theater nods. The 3:30 mark you mentioned is a byte from Scenes from a Memory
Mike Mertes there are Symphony X songs mixed up there too
Thund Quimera Engine Yeah, 3:12 is definitely a musical quote of Holst's "Mars" that Symphony X also uses rifftastically in the Prelude portion of "Divine Wings of Tragedy".
I got every single reference in this by the way, feels good man.
That... was... SUPERB! Two awesome songs for two awesome villains! (No, I'm not a Sephiroth or Kefka fanboy, I just think they're good villains.) And mixed them in like this! Seemless!
PoD - The Man, The Myth, The Legend.
dude..... that was awesome
So awesome. Nothing more that can be said.
The most serious and least successful and the least serious and most successful FF villain team up for an absolutely godly piece of music.
@ycz13 It was easier for him to make an assumption than actually get the file. :-D
YES YES YES! AMAZING REMIX OF AN AMAZING SONG!
*cue 1 literally big multi phase boss battle that doesn't disappoint, both in 2d and 3d*
this is like classic music but then yet modern
I don't know about one to describe, but I know two words that have been elevated to a higher plane of existence for their presence in this song: feta cheese.
Awesome song and also awesome references to Symphony X and Dream Theater, love the bass tap in Metropolis :]
One of these days I'm going to get in trouble head banging at my desk.
THIS IS SO AWESOME
Still the greatest mix from FF history!
o.O
MY Dad's prancing to this right now...
This sounds like Dream Theater took the track and mixed it with Octavarium. Holy fucking shit this is good.
1:03 YESSSSSS I feel the epicness coming!
Superb remix!!!
Lol at Dream Theater's riff. Wasn't really listening to the song but then I heard the Dance of Eternity and my eyes popped ^^
Phantomstrider brought me here
Same
also a really sweet Frost* reference in it ! Black Light Machine solo ftw :D
@Demonstray tiny Dream Theater solo reference at about 3:28, too!
3:30 - A wild Myung appears!
I FEEL LIKE A GOD!
One could imagine this being the bgm of a WWII powerpoint
Dance of Eternity @3:30
Awman, nearly four minutes in, and I hear a few notes that sound like "Neener neener neener!" It's as if Kefka's actually taunting the listener through the guitar there!
I know jack about music, but after some contemplation, a little Mass Effect 3, and more than a couple of replays, I did in fact decide to keep my feet.
@MisterPudd the choir in the background is "singing" it
@3:29 "The Prance of Paternity"
Yes, yes he is. I know that even though this is the first I've seen of him.
