This is WONDERFUL!! The boots look fabulous with the pants! You look darling from head to toe!! Well done, especially in the short time frame. Hope the event was a great time.
Your channel makes me so happy! Seriously, if I’m having a bad day, I watch a few of your videos and feel better in no time. I’ll finish a video and realize I’m smiling. Watching you sew reminds me of how much I used to enjoy sewing. 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful, elegant creations with us!
Omg I wanted to pop on here and let you know that I found a nutone system that wasn't in a countertop online for 40 DOLLARS!! And it is in mint working condition! My husband and I just recently bought a 1950s-60s (not sure but that's the time frame) mobile home and it's got so much original woodwork in good condition! But the counter top has a corner spot that will be perfect for my Newtone! I do have to look for more attachments because she only came with the blender, but for 40 dollars, I'm good with that! I don't have anyone else that shares my love for vintage items, so I hope you don't mind my long comment! I'm still on the hunt for a sewing machine. But that's next on the list! 😅
Omg congrats I think 40’s for the system and just the blender is a wonderful deal. Sometimes the blender alone without the motor cost double that. This is a WIN
@@SewRena That's what I thought! This is my first vintage appliance, I would love to keep all the appliances around the same time frame, so thanks for an estimated time frame! Enjoy your weekend, that outfit turned out super cute! 💕🌸
❤🎉🎉🎉 you really are exceptional in your unique gifted approach / what skill and grace you have! Haut Coeture ! I love this outfit and the way it is structured / exquisite !!!
Patsy is one of my all time fave patterns! It’s so fun to see all the different creations people make with it-obsessed with this color combo!! And the glitz and embroidery is just perfect ❤
Great! Loved and can relate (sew tired, make mistakes, change original plan, rush, etc) to everything! 😂❤ White fringe is good for the pop! Embroidery I admire. On your short I had commented on liking the pant back buckle detail ❤. Hope you had fun! Deadlines do help.
You look so fisty in this. Patsy Cline would be envious of this outfit. It looks so perfect! That color combination is very flattering on your completion.
Taper the pants to make them more boot tuck friendly but honestly, having been born and raised in Nashville I prefer a cut where it barely covers the boot or puffs a wee bit tucked in. Also, if you take the excess fabric at the ankle and tuck it back it will lay more smoothly.
I very much agree about the fact to never sew when tired because i sewed the lining of my zipped pocket onto the wrong side of the fabric and i didn't notice until i had realised my mistake. 🤦♀️
EEK... super cute! But I bet you look good in everything! I was at a thrift store one day, and they had some vintage square dancing dresses patterns. They had that look, kind of like a dirndl, so I snatched them up. I never looked to see if the patterns were in all of them, so I was super disappointed a while back, to find some were missing!! Such a bummer! I love vintage patterns!
I'm really enjoying the explanations and demonstration that you're doing so far, but I have to pause and just mention that the phrase "at this point, the poppies are cousins" absolutely sent me😂❤
Fun and cute project, SewRena. I love it! I imagine Gertie named the blouse after one of my favorite country singers, Patsy Cline. I love that the poppies are cousins. 😂 Good morning and happy Saturday! What model of antique Singer do you have? Saw it in the background of your intro. I have a 1911 Red Eye that works great. Also, if there’s no electricity in the zombie apocalypse, I can still sew by a sunny window. 😂
Sometimes a time crunch helps us get great results. Like you said - you can’t overthink it. You have to just go for it. This turned out great! My daughters and I are oohing and ahhing. We live in the Wild West, and maybe one day we will be brave enough to make a real western outfit. Also, I just made my youngest a skirt out of this very same sparkly fabric in pink. I know exactly what you mean about the texture. She also managed to get like some kind of heavy machinery grease stain on it within hours of completion, and I’m pretty sure it’s ruined. Ack! Fun to see someone else working with it, though.
Oh no I’m sorry to hear about the grease I also have it in pink! I made a dress with a stand collar because I felt like the fabric could really hold the shape
Hello from Wisconsin, I’ve been watching your videos over the past few weeks and I must say.. I totally admire your RUclips channel 💕 Im so impressed on how you decorated your kitchen & your home beautifully. I was born in 1985 but I always admired the era that you have. You and your husband are beyond talented!! I wish I knew how to sew outfits together etc.. That’s such an awesome gift to have especially the amazing outfits that you put together and for your daughter. You definitely are an inspiration ✨ & I would love to try learning one of these days on sewing outfits together. I know it takes time and repetition to get better at it but I’m willing to try 😊 If you have any recommendations on DIY with sewing.. please share! Many Blessings✨ Leanna B.
I have the same vintage train case like the one you're holding in the thumbnail. I need to find someone that revives them. The outer stitching has come loose and I have another one that needs the inside redone.
@@SewRena do you have a list or can inform me of fellow black artist like yourself who vintage sew or similar and even sew/stich clothes for dolls? I have a group project i need to assemble a team of black artists for, i do not sew or stitch so any information you can give will be great

You look great in the outfit!
I love this! The details are so cool!
Oh my gosh!!! What a cute western outfit!!!
Every time I watch you and see you model your outfit you just made, I always say she is so darn cute!!!!!
I wish modern blouses had darts more often.
I agree! Imagine blouses fitting a curvy body again instead of the currently unflattering box shape.
Love your videos !!❤ its so beautifully , have fun at the event !
Beautiful
I absolutely love this!!!😍😍😍
I'm not sure I ever imagined that such loud fabrics could come together into a beautiful outfit like that. Expertly done!
IT CAME OUT SPLENDID
Beautiful 😍💎😍😍😍😍
10:15 Really cute! You did a *great* job!
That is so cute!
You're presentations are always right on. Fun watching your little fingers. Move so quickly. Your workmanship is so pretty. And?
Precise.
SOOOO super cute!
You’re so clever. I admire your talent
This is such a gorgeous outfit! Please remember that real flowers never match exactly the same even if they are on the same plant!
Hahah that’s how I was able to let it go 😂 I told myself nature isn’t perfect

Gorgeous!
Classic! I love it! I’m trying to hack a button down into a western top.
You can especially if you do it like this you just trace out the yoke and sew it on top.
You look adorable.
This was fun!

So the one in the background is that that old it’s a 128k hand crank.

The Fringe!!!
wow!
Haha I’ve been guilty of sewing tired and messing up, and hurrying and messing up.😂🤣
New subscriber here! Can you go over your home (not creepy just certain items lol) and certain decor and/or furniture pieces and where to buy?
I have the same vintage train case like the one you're holding in the thumbnail.

All your items you make are so beautiful. What brand of sewing machine do you use? Any tips on knit fabric?
