    Watching this absolutely legend video reminds me that in woodworking you always need more clamps! Can never have enough clamps

      No such thing as too many clamps.

    I’m new to your channel just would like to say great, very informative videos, keep it up, as well as I would like to say I’m digging the swallow tail long board with the wood grain behind you, I did something similar back in highschool, i however did not have any clue as to what I was doing

    This is a really exotic shape! directional volume shifted powder board? i wish you talked a bit more about the shape! What is the camber profile going to be like and why? where are the contact points going to be?
    I cant wait for the next installment!

      Thank you! I never really did talk about the shape, did I? It's a directional, volume shifted deck with tapered sidecut radii. I'm not doing any additional contact points on this one because it would have increased the complexity of the build, but I definitely want to tackle that in the future. I'll get into camber profile when I build the mold, I'm really looking forward to that part of the project!

    Save the themplate u used for the shaping of the base for these edges, then you can get the edges how you want and not care about damaging the sheet, and then afterwards transfer them to the sheet. Might be wasted time but might feel a little more comfortable for some

    Why did you feel you needed edges on the tip and tail?

    Just a observation for the rookies out there, the super glue gel formula works a lot better than regular super glue. And it's available at the dollar store save some cash!

    Sweet video! I'm building my first snowboard. I'm having trouble with the edges, I made my edge bending tool and it works great, but I have a problem with the edge twisting.. any tips on this?

      I had that happen some too, all I did was hammer mine flat using a small chunk of steel as an anvil. No idea if that's the right way to do it, but it seems to have worked for me

    I was thinking when you were making the corners please dont cut the whole flange, i respect your build and how properly you think.

    If you used your template, to make a second template in plywood, couldn't you just use that and a mallet to bend the binding around the template?

    How long did it take you to form the edge?

    • @GoodRoads
      @GoodRoads  4 года назад

      Not long, maybe an hour?

      Edges or edge wire. I got mine at snowboardmaterials.com/
