    I have both bipolar 2 disorder and borderline personality disorder along with severe panic disorder and ptsd. People hear all that and think I need to be locked away! I have had 2 friends who would see me take a fair amount of medication and they finally asked me why, I told them and instantly they started talking about me behind my back and saying I was gonna kill them etc. That made it worse! That one even made me stop taking medication for years!! And let to self harming and hating myself for being this way.....be careful with your words, because they can cut deeper than someone may realize.

      I’m so sorry on behalf of your friends for their lack of compassion towards you. No one ever deserves someone to be hateful to them due to an illness especially when that illness doesn’t impact them at all! That is so so terrible . wow, that’s terrible of them to have said. You’re so strong and you made me feel better about struggling with complex ptsd, major depressive disorder, Stockholm syndrome and an eating disorder. I was diagnosed with BPD before, but it was mistaken as real complex ptsd. I feel afraid sometimes that there may be no end to the mental health issues I have from my existence, and I refuse to take medication. My mom was a narcissist when I grew up. I was bullied a lot and I just feel so much resistance to taking medication because I want to stay true to myself, and heal naturally. But on either end, feeling ashamed for my diagnoses whether I am medicated or not, comes from comments like those that your old friends made about you.

      My sister has bipolar disorder. She would never intentionally hurt me for her ego's sake. A narcissist would. Mental health help is good for everyone. I have even seen one for social anxiety. The problem with narcissists is that they won't even admit they have a problem. I hope you find better friends.

    • @mw7165
      @mw7165 2 года назад +2

      Sorry to hear about this. I also have BPD and bipolar II. I’ve had a rough life but I guess I handle it in a way that people don’t realize it. So when I start exhibiting symptoms in response to a stressor (it’s usually a perceived abandonment but sometimes it’s just people irritating me), it can take some people aback. Some realize I have these strong reactions and purposely stress me out/piss me off because they find it amusing. I’ve caught onto this behavior and don’t let it get to me as much, anymore. Though, there are days where I’m just really annoyed and not in the mood for it, so I don’t care if I feed into their crap. I think the most distressing part was getting diagnosed, for me. Because I knew there was something else “wrong” with me but no meds or regular talk therapy seemed to be working. I heard about BPD and thought someone I knew may have it (pretty sure they have NPD; possible comorbid BPD, too, but they’ll never get tested because they don’t think they have a problem), then reflected inward and realized I had almost all of the symptoms. I brought it up to my therapist, explained to him my reasoning for why I thought I had it (an entire page of symptoms that fit the diagnosis) and he told me he actually had suspected I had BPD, but just hadn’t said anything… Which kinda makes me mad because I’d been thinking I was exaggerating things or imagining/making up the things I was feeling (one lady that evaluated me for ADHD even told me I couldn’t POSSIBLY have bipolar because my moods weren’t “unstable enough” and I kept trying to explain, “no, you don’t get it- my moods change like every 30 minutes”, but she made it seem like that was normal, so I just assumed feeling the full range of emotions in 2 hours was “normal”). Come to find out, it was the mental health industry/professionals that let me down…. Then I became curious about BPD and started researching more on it, after telling my therapist I suspected I had it and him confirming my suspicions. Only to see so much hate and stigma. People saying we should just end our own lives because we’re soulless monsters and don’t deserve love. I even saw a “mental doctor” (I refuse to call her a psychologist after what I read) telling those people who have to “put up” with someone with BPD to only deal with us if you ABSOLUTELY have to… that we’re beyond help and no amount of understanding or love would ever help us. After reading all of this filth, I was convinced that I MUST be a bad person and beyond saving and started self harming. I gave up. Just laid in bed, only getting up to feed my animals, and was fine with being “unalived” because of the hatred I saw for this disorder I just found out I had. But then I realized that these people don’t know the first thing about me. That I’ve done crappy things before, sure, but nothing like some of them were describing. I realized I’m NOT the monster they tried saying people with BPD are. I’ve tried doing my best to let others with BPD know they aren’t those monsters, either, just because of their diagnosis. A lot of people with BPD are scared to talk about it because it’s so highly stigmatized and they’re afraid (with reason) that they’ll be treated differently, if they reveal their diagnosis. And yes, they’re afraid for a reason. I’ve heard of people being refused work for their diagnosis, friends/family treating them differently (I’ve had some of this, too), and even mental health “professionals” turning them away because there’s a stigma that we’re SO difficult to tolerate and work with… It seems most of us internalize our BPD (quiet/high functioning/discouraged BPD) and most people don’t even realize we have it until we have a particularly bad day…

    One more thing to add on BPD (from a clinically diagnosed borderline) : while untreated, it is quite common for sufferers to be more dangerous to themselves than others. 2 points of diagnosis are suicidal ideation/ attempts and self- injury. I am a prime example that there is always a chance to recover from BPD. Take care of yourself and seek help.

    As someone who suffers from narcissism, I think its important to note that NPD is a result of fluctuations of self esteem. So, while yes, we can experience grandiosity, we also experience the other extreme of low self esteem and self hate. It seems like a lot of educational resources highlight the former without acknowledging the latter too. People with NPD suffer greatly.. we just mask the side of us that suffers because it’s seen as socially unacceptable.

    I'd like to share my own experiences as an individual who has been diagnosed with ASPD.
    Even at young ages, I showed little regard for other people. While this can be observed in many children since empathy develops by time, I was rather described as uncaring and violent. When I say violent, don't take this as severe violence and abuse. I was getting in fights a bit too often, particularly with a few of my classmates. Other than this, I spent my childhood as a lone wolf, not a school bully.
    Once I grew up, I started to notice the difference of my behaviors. I could come across as mean and insensitive at times. And my parents were convinced that I was too emotionless. Although I wouldn't describe myself as emotionless, I am not emotional but definitely not without emotions either.
    So due to the coldness between me and my parents, they decided to send me to a psychiatrist. My psychiatrist was also an education coach, so I thought he could help me with my lessons and my upcoming matriculation. I was 19 during this time, and turned to 20 when we were about to end our sessions due to financial difficulties. I knew my parents were thinking something "wrong" about me, and when I overheard my mother's conversation with my psychiatrist, I found out they were talking about ASPD. I later discussed it with my parents. I was furious at first, but then I decided to have a good relationship with them. It's now very warm between us, I care about them, which is an unusual thing for me. But this is not to say I'm an abusive or harmful person. I can safely say I've never harm anyone in my life. When you meet me irl, you'll probably think I'm the nicest person you ever met. Though it's mostly a social mask, I'm not a mean person either.

    • @mervisa89
      @mervisa89 2 года назад +19

      I have BPD and I've met people with ASPD, you probably work a lot for your own good and those who surround you, and lacking empathy and certain feeling is not easy nor nice, so even if it's a mask feel proud and keep working, in the end as long as you know how to treat people and how to treat yourself you know everything is going to be okay :)

    • @idfc2505
      @idfc2505 2 года назад +21

      @@mervisa89 I assure you, empathy doesn't stop people from being mean and harmful. I can safely say the neurotypical people in general tend to be more dangerous compared to us. At least, I don't hurt people just to satisfy my ego or make drama. So basically yes, I'm happy with the person I turned out to be and I have no mind to change it.

      its sad we have to wear masks at all. i have bpd and lately ive had very little care for others. i have strong empathy so i still feel what theyre feeling but thats just it. i dont care. im so emotionally exhausted that i just feel nothing. and if i dont wear this mask of caring, i get mistreated for it. its not fair lol
      also yeah i hate how ppl demonize stuff like npd for example when you can lack empathy and still have compassion. im an empath but fellow empaths fucking infuriate me with their "heehee look im such a good person unlike those unfeeling narcissists!!" especially since theyre often quite assholes themselves.
      i find it way worse when someone can care but doesnt over someone who literally cannot care.

    I have coexisting personality disorders (BPD and DID) but because of the misconceptions and stigma surrounding both conditions I refrain from getting close to people. The way I’ve seen others attack and demonise us genuinely breaks my heart, and reminds me why I’m right to keep everyone at arm’s length. Being diagnosed at an early age (14) and having to FIGHT for that diagnosis because they don’t typically diagnose teenagers due to their personality still developing, had me and STILL has me upset.
    The few close friends I call family who know and have stuck with me through everything we’ve been through prior being diagnosed are the only people I’ll ever trust. I’ve tried letting a few close acquaintances in but unsurprisingly that backfired. No matter how much you educate a person, some people will still choose to see what they want and that’s fine, I’ll just continue isolating myself outside my loved ones. However I am appreciative that BPD is being talked about more but in a positive light.

    • @ArtairMcKinley
      @ArtairMcKinley 2 года назад +2

      @Nameless Person I have quite a few but I’ll tell you about those who’re known amongst my close loved ones. The first is Henry. He’s one of the more outgoing, sadomasochistic and self inflicted alters. Then there’s Python. He’s very aloof and apathetic. If alcohol isn’t involved you more than likely won’t catch him socialising. Akira isn’t as self inflicted as Henry but is prone to impulsive and inappropriate behaviour. Much like Python he’s favourable of alcohol however Akira can be outgoing, just not to Henry’s extent. Both Akira and Henry get along but Python feels indifferent toward both of them, just barely tolerating Akira.

      I mean, 1/4 of people with BPD also have NPD and, if I remember correctly, 1/5 also have ASPD. They’re also more likely to have alcohol/drug abuse problems, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. It’s called a co-morbidity. But the two disorders aren’t one single diagnosis or disorder. What wasn’t mentioned here is that BPD/NPD are caused by a combination of genetics and environmental triggers, but sometimes it’s only the genetic predisposition that’s needed. You won’t get BPD/NPD if you don’t have the genetic predisposition for it, no matter how much of the environmental triggers you’re exposed to. But some people with BPD/NPD don’t require the environmental triggers to develop it. I’d fathom a guess that some of these people probably also inherited bipolar.

    I have BPD and Bipolar II. Thank you for this video. I hope to one day destigmatize BPD because getting that diagnosis is incredibly difficult, in and of itself. But then there are people who don’t get an official diagnosis and merely go around claiming they have the disorder, people who use the disorder to justify their terrible behaviors and people who make assumptions that someone they were dealing with had BPD. This all gets mixed together and comes back really hard on those of us fighting the disorder or just finding out we have it and wanting to know more, when the majority of us are just trying to live a normal life. The symptoms aren’t just hard on those around us, they’re extremely hard on us, as well. We often don’t understand our emotions but we’re stuck feeling so incredibly intensely that they physically manifest in our bodies… things such as severe pain, similar to that of a heart attack (called heartbreak syndrome), getting so mad that our skin starts burning as of it’s literally been burnt, and getting so excited that no substance can ever give an equal high. While feeling physically empty/hallow, on the inside… mine feels like a tar pit inside of me. We go into autopilot and it’s like watching the world happen all around us, from within ourselves. We’re out worst critics. Everything anyone else has ever said bad about us gets internalized and we will beat ourselves down with it, harder than anyone else ever could. Some days, we may feel absolutely untouchable. On top of the world. But most days, we loathe ourselves and just wish for all the stress to end. We don’t idealize or split on purpose. We often have no choice in who our “favorite person” becomes and some partners will become offended when a coworker or friend is the favorite person, not them. Having an FP sucks. Relying on another person for our happiness, needing them… we know how much of a burden that can be on someone. We understand why people put up boundaries (most of us). We know that we have toxic behaviors and most of us at the very least want to fix those behaviors. And I’m not condoning enduring ab**e because someone refuses to change their toxic behavior- if they’re toxic, get out. But there are those of us that are working on getting the BPD into remission and living a fairly normal life. Only to constantly see the hatred and stigma attached to the disorder. I’ve seen some absolutely disgusting things said about people with BPD. And while I get it’s from a place of hurt, misinformation or misunderstanding, I hope that one day changes, so others just getting the diagnosis don’t go thru what I did, almost listening to what the hate was saying we should do. You aren’t your diagnosis.

    I think this video is so important but I realy feel like there is another dissorder that sould be added to this list.
    DID/OSDD
    I've seen stigma over other dissorders but I have never seen any so intense or prominent and the stigma for DID!
    (no I do not have the condition)
    The majority of people either say they are faking, weird, or serial killers/ abusers (especially focusing on persecutors)
    I havnt seen any media that has had a good depiction of the dissorder which breaks my heart.
    And I know people who get daily harassment just for having the dissorder.
    I think it's super important to include it on a list of most misunderstood dissorders because I've seen people looked down upon for many dissorders yet never seen so much hate or hostility towards someone because of a dissorder as with did.
    If there is ever a video make as a part 2 to this then please include it!! Otherwise a video debunking the myths about it are so important!!
    Because I think it's something that is reqly important to address and isn't addressed enough
    (I know this probably sounds naggy or crule and I don't mean it as a negative xomment!!
    I know so many people with stigmatised dissorders yet its thoez who have did I see harrased the most to the point it hurts me so much to see and I want to help in any way possible to lessen the stigma)

      Not to mention how a person is mentioned in media to dissociate (which is a separate thing from DID as well and common in multiple disorders) or a "second personality" is mentioned and everyone will assume it's DID instantly even though the character doesn't fit it at all. I saw someone try to say Bruno from Encanto has DID just because he put a bucket on his head and said he was Hernando. It feels like most people don't know anything about the disorder at all even with it feeling like education on the disorder is becoming more prominent. It faces a stigma that feels so different from any other disorder. I really hope that as more people talk about DID and bring light to what it's really like that it can shift the perspective on it and provide a little more insight to what it's like. It definitely is one of the most stigmatized/stereotyped disorders out there, especially since it's such a rare disorder. Then there's also people assuming that because it's rare, that means so little people have it. Less than 1% is still a LOT of people just because of how many people are currently populating Earth.

    The problems with empathising with other people is totally correct. From what I expierence and from hearing other's, we can sympathise, just not empathize. We feel emotions differently. Narcissistic abuse doesn't exist, and saying it does stigmatizes NPD. There are three types of ab*se: Mental/emotional, physical, and s//xual. When people describe "narcissistic abuse" they are typically referencing emotional. Saying the other is putting the blame on someone's disorder, and no disorder is inherently evil.

    I am a regular person who feels pain and joy or insult and anger or sadness and happiness like everyone else. I am very sensitive to the feelings of others and I am very aware of how people treat me and others. Sometimes I am too aware and too sensitive. Mostly, I do take those overwhelming feelings out on me, very seldom out on other people. But since I shared my borderline diagnosis with some "friends", it's always the same. I get upset/angry, it's not because of upsetting events - it's my ,borderline and I m told not to act out. If I get unhappy or sad, it's not people or situations that inflict it - it's my borderline, and I am told to "suck it up". My whole self, my whole personality and my look at the world are reduced to "being borderline". Feelings that are normal for other people and that are tolerated if other people show them, are not allowed to me. Because everything I show is "borderline". So now I learned not to tell people about it. Makes life MUCH more easy. Kicking out fals friends helps too.

    I have BPD and HPD and one of the worst things I ever see is when people with BPD demonize NPD and ASPD. They go on about ending stigma, but then it's always about narcissists being bad with a hint of ableism to ASPD with psychopath/sociopath. We're in the same cluster, our traits sometimes overlap or we can be comorbid. Anyone can have the potential to be abusive and NPD and ASPD don't automatically mean evil just as any disorder doesn't.
    Now just a little way of how living with BPD and HPD is for me. I would say that BPD is the "bigger" disorder in me, but HPD plays its part too. I started developing/really showing symptoms of these disorders around 13 and I never understood why. It's like I always have a disconnect from my emotions and others. Even if I have good relationships with my friends and girlfriend, no matter how close I am to them, I feel a barrier between us, like I can never really bond with anyone. I already feel hollow a lot of the time, like an empty shell I often liken to my favorite bug's shell, a cicada's shell. I describe the feeling of emptiness as a void that is just a part of you and you feel nothing. No it isn't numb like repression, it's genuinely just nothing. It's like a blank slate, neither good nor bad. It is truly nothing, like the absence of any feeling whether negative or positive. And it's scary. Living with these disorders is scary. I can't connect to people, my friends do one teensy tiny thing different and I'll become convinced that "yep, the time has finally come. They have decided they hate me and it's finally here." I suffer from paranoid delusions and sometimes can't even understand my own reality. I reject my own body because it does not feel like mine. I feel like a stranger in my own body, it is wrong, I can't even recognize it. I stare in the mirror only to see a stranger. I feel like many different people even though I am aware I am just one. I have large gaps in my memories and barely feel like I'm living. I get cravings for all kinds of unhealthy coping mechanisms whenever I get down. One thing happens and I'm convinced it's my time to die. I see myself as a rotting festering poison that should have never existed in the first place. And most of the time, I don't even feel bad about it. That's just the way it is, that is just who I am, I regret being born although it wasn't my choice and that isn't even sad to me. I try to convince my friends why it shouldn't matter if I live or die, but they always get upset. And I just don't understand it because it makes perfect sense to me. Every single thing feels like a mistake I've made. I feel isolated and sometimes just prefer being alone entirely. I look at people around me, some of the toxic people in mine and my friends' lives and just think "if they lived one day in my head, they wouldn't be able to take it." Because what is so dark to other people is just...my every day. I am terrified of myself, my disorder, others. I am terrified about how far I can go with not caring about myself.
    Now the anger part of BPD. Everyone knows about this, I assume, as it's the most stigmatized part. It feels like it's not even me. It's like I'm watching someone else take over my body and do this but I am aware that it is me in control, but I am powerless to stop it. I try to hold it back, but I can't. Some scenes I liken my BPD rage to is: Harry Potter, the fifth movie, when Voldemort is affecting Harry and Harry snaps at them to pay attention to him then becomes terrified. I have felt that my entire life. That is how it feels. I don't like being angry, I don't want to be angry, I know I'm making my friend cry and doubt themselves, but I can't stop myself. And trying to control it only seems to make it stronger. Or it can be like a fog. Like my mind is blinded by a cloud and everything seems right then you come out of it, barely remember anything that happened, and you feel horrified at what's happened.
    (for some positivity and advice, ways I deal with this is:
    1: Finding out what triggered me or what caused me to get so upset and talking through it with the person in a fair way that is not "you did this, it's your fault" or "I did this, it's all my fault." Things like "When you did this, it upset me. I'm sorry for how I acted, it wasn't appropriate, but I want you to understand why this thing upset me and hurt me." or "When you did this, it reminded me of this and it made me just lose it. I'm sorry I lost control and lashed out at you and nothing I said was true, it was either said about toxic person it reminded me of or said it just to hurt you which isn't fair to you."
    2: Have a discussion on ways to avoid the feeling of being triggered or deal with it. For me, it's letting me know when and how long they'll be leaving or if something is happening to alert me multiple times up to the event as I have ADHD and will most likely forget. I will try to do things to help myself in the time they are gone, such as during a movie or something else.
    3: Work on ways to calm yourself down/ground yourself. Some ways for me personally is using my neopronouns since they are different and unique, will make me feel validated and seen, and will distract me. Ways to distract me and to offer me cute and fluffy things. Avoid talking about the subject or having a discussion until it is safe to do so as I will be ultra sensitive and either become depressed or enraged.
    4: If you are going to hurt yourself, or even threatening it, but you don't want someone to worry, get a system. For me, it's when I know someone is worried but I can't give in any effort to text back or I am too mad to and want to be alone, I send a random emoji so they know I am safe and unharmed and that I just need some time. This works for text and I don't have much for in person as my episodes are over text.)
    Now for HPD and how it affects me. It's just strange. I know a big reason why I developed these disorders was due to me being autistic and hyperempathetic as a child and being yelled at and emotionally abused over my autistic traits and OCD and ADHD. Everything about me was ridiculed. Masking became normal and I feel that played a big part in what I became. I can only express my emotions through imagining myself on a stage and performing music, I am naturally overdramatic (with a love of acting) but it ended up becoming a part of my mental health. I am repressed and struggle to express myself, I cry without tears and only mimic the noise/face/sound with 0 tears most of the time because I am so emotionally repressed. My life feels like an acting role. Songs that constitute sympathetic villain or mean girl that's on top of the world are the best for me because it can be some of the only ways for me to express myself. Things like songs by MARINA such as Teen Idle, How To Be A Heartbreaker, Primadonna, then villain songs (literally think of any and you've got it), and then some mean girl in pretty pink that is shallow and plays a role songs do it for me. My emotions are shallow, and thanks to BPD, rapidly shifting. I feel disconnected from them. If you're aware of the game Obey Me, you surely know the character of Asmodeus. Well when I first started playing, I was obsessed with him. I have a twisted self image so to be "good enough" or "better" I spiraled. Asmodeus rejects you at the start and is like "no one could be as beautiful as me" and he is the avatar of lust so what did I do to feel good enough because a fictional character was my favorite person? Dressed pretty and perfect, started to work on my diet/have an eating disorder relapse, hide all my flaws, act perfect and better than everyone, and be overly sexual as if sexuality wasn't a very delicate and sometimes triggering thing for me (I'm Ace-Flux due to my BPD and trauma.) I centered my whole personality around it and only wanted to be good enough so I could reject him. It is shallow, it is petty, it's heartbreaking even to remember. I'm so unstable in who I am from BPD and HPD that I "act" to show emotions, I "act" to express myself just for normal stuff that most people can do already, and I use my sexuality, give myself up as a sexual object, just to feel anything or to be loved. And just listing everything here makes me want to cry. Because I still just remember that child that didn't know any better and got yelled at and put down, made fun of for being fat and ugly at 8 years old, and had every last thing about me mocked and belittled and degraded and treated like it was my fault our family fought. And now this is who I am. And other cluster b disorders aren't that different. We all need help.

      I shared my experiences and my past to show a little bit of what it's like to live with these disorders. I probably explained things poorly as I struggle to communicate, but I tried my best. I also may have left out a lot. We are humans that want love and to be helped and healed just like anyone else, our disorders often run deeper than others though. I've come such a long way since I was younger and more reckless and although I don't have access to professional help, I'm gonna get there. These disorders may never go away, but I want to manage my symptoms. I know I have a beautiful life ahead with a family with my girlfriend of 4 years. I never thought I'd live to be 20, but here I am. I've been suicidal since i was 8, had an eating disorder, and had a self harm addiction. But I would say, I'm doing well now. Even if I'm struggling, I'm learning to listen to myself and put effort into caring for myself. It can be difficult cause of trauma, sensory overload, meltdowns, physical issues, but I'm proud of how far I've come. I hope anyone else, no matter what disorder you have or where you are in life, can see these and feel a little bit better. You CAN do it. I'm learning to let go of those bad days for as bad as some of them are, they are only a few miniscule moments in the entirety of my life. You aren't alone and you are valid. I wish everyone well and to stay safe and I hope that if you didn't know much that you learned something from this video and perhaps my experiences. /gen /pc
      One last thing, if it's over text: tone indicators help! They're often used for autistic folks to regulate tone and understand tone, but they've also done wonders for my BPD so phrases such as "oh okay" are not as triggering if "/nm" (not mad or upset) is added. They can be REALLY helpful and help me, as an unstable person, to know that it's okay and it isn't bad. :)

      Every case of BPD and HPS was caused by parents with NPD or ASPD.

    • @hannahdavis4256
      @hannahdavis4256 2 года назад +4

      @@joban4963 No not necessarily. And it isn't just strictly caused by parents either. My brothers were just as much abusers as my parents were. ASPD and NPD doesn't automatically equal abuser. Anybody can be an abuser and someone like you is just adding to the stigma surrounding the disorder. And people with those disorders are just as much victims as people with BPD and HPD. ASPD and NPD also come from childhood trauma and are just as comorbid as my BPD and HPD are.
      Edit: There are many causes of these personality disorders and it isn't entirely known either. They are heavily linked to abuse especially in childhood, but can come from abusive relationships and other negative experiences. Childhood trauma is not just strictly abuse faced as a child, it can be countless things that disrupt the safety of a child. People with ASPD and NPD are just much suffering from their experiences as we are. Lower empathy does not equal evil either. Empathy is not a gauge of morality either as most people aren't super empathetic either. Plenty of people with NPD and ASPD are not abusive and are not even parents. And there can be plenty of parents without these disorders but other problems that can result in these kinds of disorders such as a chronically ill family member, neglect or abandonment, abuse from someone outside the family or a more distant relative, alcohol and drugs which anybody can be addicted to, and so on. No this is not undermining people who had negative experiences, but shoving everyone into one category with a disorder that affects people very differently is ridiculous. One bad egg so the whole batch is ruined? Each person has their symptoms affect them differently, how they react cause of their symptoms, and if they have any comorbid or other disorders along with it that will affect them. You really are just adding to the stigma. I hope you're willing to learn something at least.

      I'm terribly sorry for what you have to go through. Sadly,I can't relate to your symptoms since I usually either feel numb or have a tiny change in my mood and then go back to feeling numb a minute later. I won't really be able to understand how much you're suffering but one thing for sure is that it must be exhausting to have your mood going all over the place. I'm glad that you're slowly recovering and handling it all in a good way,though.

    Also misdiagnosis. I got misdiagnosed with schizotypal a few years back ,and when I looked into it absolutely nothing fit except for having a psychosis which I was fully aware that I was having and I sought help for repeatedly but I only got help once I became suicidal. Then a year ago I was sent to a psychiatrist for disability evaluation and she said nope you definitely don't have that ,you have aspergers ,which is a diagnosis that fits like a gloves ,most of my kids have aspergers too,one is neurotypical ,3 are definitely aspies and one idk but he also used to have massive meltdowns whether that's from imitating the rest of us or because he's also an aspie idk.

    Since when has having blue eyes, not the common, brown eyes been a disorder. I prefer to be alone, I am not comfortable around people. It’s got nothing to do with disliking people, in fact I am more tolerant of other people and their idiosyncrasies than many another. Ever seen the couple of cows in the field grazing apart from the main herd. That’s me. But although on the periphery I keep a casual eye on the mob and am ready to rush to help if needed. I love them all in my way and am happy knowing they are not far off. They don’t bother too much about me ordinarily and I am happy with that because I am one of the herd and i know I can ask for help if I need it. Our personality comes from our brain and we still do not understand deeply this highly sophisticated computer. We will better understand different personality traits when we better understand our brains. Big smile to you all.

People don't understand that they go through the feelings of being mercilessly stabbed every day only to their emotions instead of to their body. Often it stems from abuse and neglect in early years and linked extra heavy to CSA. They're also more likely to be victims of abuse in their relationships rather than perpetrators. And have a high suicide risk (can't count how many times my crush has actually attempted, it's that many times)

    The only thing that matters for our fellow PDs(I have Avpd), is if they chose to better themselves and get real help for their symptoms and issues they have. I honestly hate how sometimes ignorant other PDs are of their condition.
    Cluster B people might not be aware that they do bad things at first, but when they go to a psychologist and get the diagnosis, it's up to them whether they chose to get treatment for their maldaptive symptoms, and if they chose to not, and continue to do bad things, that's on them.
    Every personality disorder has their issues. I have mine, he has his, she has hers, they have theirs, everyone that's diagnosed or not has their problems that they have to figure out on their own.
    Now, does that mean narcissistic abuse is still real? Well, yes. It's still a very specific kind of pseudoscience that has been proven by research and peoples' experiences with it.
    Does that signify stigma towards NPD? No. In fact, let me tell you something:
    Narcissistic Abuse is NOT the same as NPD. The reason why is because narcissism is a trait that can exist outside of NPD, which means that you don't have to have the disorder to be a narcissist. When we're talking about narcissistic abuse, we should not be bringing up NPD, because again; they're not the same thing.
    Come to think of it actually, the people that claim that narcissistic abuse is the same as NPD and using it for pity is putting a lot of people(including Borderlines, Schizotypals and other PDs) in a REALLY bad spot.
    So remember this: Every PD has their issues that depend upon the person to figure out, and whether or not you're a victim of narcissistic abuse, the narcissist doesn't always have NPD, and when you speak up, we should not be talking about the disorder.
    I rest my case.
    (and btw, ElizabethMidfordHatesCops the second you start replying to this with your "narcissistic abuse isn't real" bullcrap, I will report you and also block you. I'm not kidding.)
