I like how at the end of Millennium episode of Back Issues Ben said he was upset because Ethan wasn't there instead of him but I bet he's glad he missed out on this and he wouldn't swap places with Ethan if he could. But the real MVP here is Tiffany for having to suffer through all those horrible stories! I'm sorry Tiff!
Sal's right about Art Adams' talents. If the writing's not up to snuff, his pencils can convince you you're having more fun than you actually are (also the man was born to draw Godzilla).
I haven't read the other two but the Wolverine/Zealot team-up was bad-ass! Unfortunately, when I heard _Ballistic_ my first thought was the miniseries published by Black Mask Studios. If yoo haven't read _Ballistic_ its fucking incredible (Grant Morrison called it the best comic of 2013 and he was right!)
For some reason pretty early on I suspected a double ugly, didn't expect the hair pulling wrong box debate. Don't think either would survive the fabled wrong box redemption
All GBUs deserve more views. I don't know why I haven't rewatched as many as I have back issues but I'm only a daily remedy for that one. Plus, due to their infrequency [relative to back issues] I've forgotten much of them by a second or third watch. My original plan was the buy these on comixology, read them, then comment my GBU while watching....but i just don't want to buy these books LOL, oh my gawd while typing another When will then be now, that's space balls that means not a swing of coke zero but chug it. Pouring it now..... setting it up so when I click comment i start chugging....GO!
This show has made me seriously reassess my childhood taste in comics. I read Gen-13/Generation X when I was a kid and loved it. Now I realise I was a crazy person.
@@antgto There was something about the Brandon Choi/J. Scott Campbell run on Gen-13 that really spoke to my adolescent brain. Even though the stories were nonsensical with neither substance nor character development. That book was like a horny Hanna-Barbera cartoon.
ComicPOP typed it while in bed and fell asleep halfway through, must have missed that. I’ll finish it later. 😬👍🏻 Love you guys’ content, btw (mostly GB&U and especially Back Issues, for me personally). You and Rob from CE got me back in comics early this year, after a 20+ years hiatus. 😬
La Jolla is a district of San Diego, despite having separate mailing adress it is in fact South West San Diego and one of nine city counsel districts is La Jolla.
Should have just put both of those books into the wrong box. lmao. And I should have watched it to the end before commenting. Might be the best the Good, the Bad and the Ugly
For anyone wondering what type of comics Top Cow does these days,go to the link to read some free stuff. Found Think Tank and Symmetry-both written by Matt Hawkins-to be interesting: topcow.com/comics/free-2/
"That's 50 percent of a great combination" another Sal quote to incorporate into my vernacular, thanks guys!
"This is an artistic abortion."
-Ethan, 2019
We are nearly 40 episodes into this series. Only 11 more until we get that Wrong Box redemption episode.
*sighs*
"Again...!"
Jesus if I didn't laugh at that, Tiffany and Ethan's reaction surely got me stitches.

Wildcats - X-Men: Golden Age has some of my absolute favorite comic book art of all time. Charest's work is beautiful.
I love that Tiffany is just losing it with the first issue, she can't even lol.
It takes 2 wrong box books to get a good rating for a Scott Lobdell book. 😂
Lobdells not that bad he wrote executioners song right?
Watch the back issues, it’s a very 90’s book

The other stories in the book I read with the wolverine one in it get Progressively worse
"Oberst" is not the guys name, but his army rank (which is roughly equivalent to Colonel).
It's wild to me that this random Zealot Wolverine crossover is the coolest Logan has ever looked.
For some reason pretty early on I suspected a double ugly, didn't expect the hair pulling wrong box debate. Don't think either would survive the fabled wrong box redemption
Yo that fart tube joke🤣🤣🤣...also, is Nibblett supposed to be Nibbler from Futurama? Love you guys' Channel. Rob doesn't make me laugh like you guys💯
Been catching up on GBU. Hilarious stuff

Suggestion:
You should read Team 7 and Team X crossover. Made a lot more sense than the Gen13 and Generation X book.
Ethan’s laugh always cracks me up

I loved a lot of those questionable Image titles in the '90s. Still do to an extent. I regret nothing.

aw, we haven't had a good space balls reference in quite awhile. it's a classic! love it as always sal and gang
Even though it's bad I will always have a special place in my heart for Generation X.
I have that X-Men wildcats book as a 3-d comic...it came with glasses and is kinda amazing.
If I remember correctly, it has the alternate cover that is in the back of your issue.
Sal's laugh gives me life
S. P. B. stood for super powered beings, if I recall correctly. Wildstorn’s lingo for mutants/mutates. But I could be mistaken here... :)
Sal says that later in the episode.

I can't wait to see the wrong box revisited in its entirety.
Still waiting for someone to adapt Freakazoid(Dexter Douglas),Gen 13, Wild C.A.T.S,Captain Planet and Gargoyles Into live action television series.
La Jolla is a district of San Diego, despite having separate mailing adress it is in fact South West San Diego and one of nine city counsel districts is La Jolla.
Lmfao... this is outstanding content as usual.
Wildstorm is bought now by DC now
Ethan can always make Sal laugh

Wolverine used the antique chair cuz an adamantium punch would kill a normal man hahh
I would like to see the rest of the Wildcats Xmen crossover on this show or back issues.
The Spider-Man invincible comic is great
When does wolverine show up? The number comic pop impressions are epic and hillarious. Fyi the a gen 13 animated movie.
La Jolla(sp?) Is a fancy suburb of San Diego .... thats prolly why it said san diego on the map.
I watch every comic pop video you guys put out. But lemme tell ya. This was HARD to get through
Nick Rottkamp nah the bad books helps the humor helps
Thats so funny i just no joke picked up gen 13 gen x on friday in a dollar bin lol also got pit hulk!
Is it just me or does it sound like Sal watched one to many Screen Rant videos. "Fair enough" "Oh No"
San Diego is like 30 minutes from La Jolla
Are billy tan and Phillip tan related because billy seems like a less refined version Phillip
Do another volume of ultimate spider man please

Are you guys going to finish the Spider-Man ps4 game
The entire game was finished about a year ago on Twitch. On RUclips, nobody watched it.
@@comicpop alright except for me Man 😔
I just bought Devils Reign again. Wow... it’s as bad as I remember they 90s being.
I thought maybe I was just remembering the plot and dialogue being rough... Nope.
