It's sad that Staind isn't out there anymore; I pretty much grew up listening to them. But at least they keep on with their stuff and Mike's making great shit out of Saint Asonia.
Hey, could you make the audio on these things a little louder? You're talking too quietly, at times it's impossible to hear what you or the other guy is saying. I mean, you're LOUDwire after all...
Loved the self titled album! reminded me a lot more of Tormented and Dysfunction. I really hope we hear more from these guys on the heavy side like the latest one.
My step father owned The Webster Theater when it was still a movie theater. And The Webster Underground was a weird store where I used to buy huge bags of candy real cheap.
+lzw3 You really think that someone, somewhere wouldn't have leaked the information if Newsted was playing in Ghost? With social media these days I doubt he could play more than a few shows without someone mentioning it.
Probably the most underrated guitarist of that era and also the most hamstrung. Mike just wasn’t allowed to rip due to a egomaniac lead singer who wouldn’t deviate from his “vision”
is it just me that gets annoyed that the intro is REALLY LOUD compared to the rest of the video which is really quiet? I mean the channel even has LOUD in the name...... would it really kill them to oh i dont know, speak up? or get a more sensitive mic?
+Bulsky You know, Adam's not the only member of the band. And Mike got the idea of doing some writing with him, Adam was going to do some solo stuff until he got his call and wrote the songs we listen to since a few months (except for a few "old" songs like Leaving Minnesota). So for me Mike deserves more than Adam for this new project. Don't get me wrong, I really like Adam, I can say he's my idol, but we have to thank Mike for being the one who got the idea of joining with him
I came here to comment about the audio of the video but like a 100 people already did for me. Use Audio stabilization. The into is loud as fuck then the rest of the video is super low volume. Don't you check the video before uploading?
Mike goes to small towns in nc to go grocery shopping. I would know. I've seen him. He likes band shirts. :/ it looked liked him anyway. I always want to call him Mike wowkahzowski. Wever his name was. Aka kitty's friend
I've been following Staind and playing their songs for almost their entire career, and their newest album is the first to use not only 7 string guitars, but also Drop A (a pretty strangely normal tuning for them), and F#DbAbDbGbBbEb on Eyes Wide Open, the usual tuning mapped for 7 string but then with the Ab tuned down to F# (of course none of the tabs are right either). As an 8 string guitarist, hearing that low F# stood out immediately! One of my favourite parts of Staind will always be how they could write such beautiful music with such thunderous riffs behind it, and part of that is down to the low tunings and sonic mastery. So I can imagine they added a few more tunings after the last album!
Tormented, Dysfunction and Break the Cycle are all great albums, Mike is an underrated guitarist imo.
Still a proud Staind fan.
Lol
I remember break the cycyle album hitting number 1 in the UK album charts. Still a good album.
Staind is one of my favorite bands of all time
It's sad that Staind isn't out there anymore; I pretty much grew up listening to them. But at least they keep on with their stuff and Mike's making great shit out of Saint Asonia.
And how happy are you now that they’re coming back?
You should now listen the "Its been awhile" liveshow on spotify
New Album out as of Sept 2023!
You guys need to do one with Adam Gontier!!!!
Thank you Gru. Mushok is one of my favourites.
You can definitely tell the question about the fan committing suicide really got to mike. Class act you gotta love mike!
its corpsegrinder 10 years ago!
+Binary first fuckin thing i thought
Binary This whole time I was thinking Mushok is Corpsegrinder's kid brother. Hahaha
I have a copy of Tormented, it's a fucking great album.
I also had a copy of Break the Cycle , still my favourite album by staind , really refreshing my life XD
Said for years it was Break the Cycle, but right now that'll be The Illusion of Progress.
Yes its amazing. 14 shades is probably my favorite
I actually own the Tormented CD and had the entire band sign it at a meet and greet. One of my prized music possessions.
Yeah got a copy of tormented with a meet and greet package. But I had them sign a huge poster that I hang proudly in my office at home.
So cool to hear from guys who made it out of Western Mass.
Hey, could you make the audio on these things a little louder? You're talking too quietly, at times it's impossible to hear what you or the other guy is saying. I mean, you're LOUDwire after all...
I thought my speaker was turned down. Realised it wasn't. Looked for headphones. Still was very soft audio.
I remember getting a cassette single of Staind in the mail. I still don't know why it was sent to me or who sent it, but I still have it.
Do you still have it?
He and other Staind members still live near me.
Loved the self titled album! reminded me a lot more of Tormented and Dysfunction. I really hope we hear more from these guys on the heavy side like the latest one.
I kind of hope we hear from them at all...
Most underrated guitarist in music!
My step father owned The Webster Theater when it was still a movie theater. And The Webster Underground was a weird store where I used to buy huge bags of candy real cheap.
I want Staind back!
MetalMan1245 Yes!! Even though Saint Asonia is fuckin great too!
Patrick Olivier C. Staind will be doing a 50 show tour this year
I know that Paranoia cover...
can't believe 💀
No need to say more, search the "It's been awhile" live concert that they have on spotify
Hey Loudwire, can you fix the audio? Shit is getting lower and lower every released video. Thanks!
William Lages you’re just getting older brother
🤘🤘I'm huge fan of Staind & Mike Mushok🤘🤘 Thanks!!!
9 years later, they’ve released 2 records and touring again🤘
Awesome job with the audio. I can almost hear people talking.
Not a fan of Staind anymore (I grew out of it), but he seems like a really nice guy!
DefenestratedMessiah he is he really is I know him (friends dad)
+DefenestratedMessiah I'm 13 and I've been a fan of Staind since I was 10
I love how surreal he flipping is a rock God.
I always look forward to the little riff at the end
Do one with Matt Sanders (M Shadows)
How beautiful is his hair damn!
AJ Styles is the guitarist in Staind?
New project Saint Asonia? How long is SA there? 3 years?
Think it's near release now
You guys should try to reach Jason Newsted.
+Art Hazard He's been gone for a year now. I reckon he's the bass payer for Ghost.
lzw3 Never thought about that.
+lzw3 You really think that someone, somewhere wouldn't have leaked the information if Newsted was playing in Ghost? With social media these days I doubt he could play more than a few shows without someone mentioning it.
I think Mike looks younger now than he did with the short hair in Staind.
Is this Myles Kennedy's heavier set, older brother?
Probably the most underrated guitarist of that era and also the most hamstrung. Mike just wasn’t allowed to rip due to a egomaniac lead singer who wouldn’t deviate from his “vision”
lmao be serious.
Nonsense
Staind are Mass legends
is it just me that gets annoyed that the intro is REALLY LOUD compared to the rest of the video which is really quiet? I mean the channel even has LOUD in the name...... would it really kill them to oh i dont know, speak up? or get a more sensitive mic?
he looks kinda like corsegrinder and Bradley Cooper had a child.
Oh my God. I cant un see it now.
Hahaha right!!!
he looks like a chubby dave lombardo
Should of got Aaron Lewis for this.
It's "Mike Mushok" fact or fiction, not "Staind" lol
Aaron's a country boy now though...
It's.... Staind: Fact or Fiction actually.
This interviewer is the smartest guy on 4chan
Anyone else think Mike Mushok looks like Garth Brooks? Take away the long hair and add a cowboy hat......lol
And cowboy boots
Why Mike? Why not Adam Gontier or both?
+Bulsky You know, Adam's not the only member of the band. And Mike got the idea of doing some writing with him, Adam was going to do some solo stuff until he got his call and wrote the songs we listen to since a few months (except for a few "old" songs like Leaving Minnesota).

Probably because questions about his leaving from 3DG would come up with and both Adam and 3DG try their best to keep from talking about it
You are too young i guess..staind used to be huge in early 2000's way before tdg
I came here to comment about the audio of the video but like a 100 people already did for me. Use Audio stabilization. The into is loud as fuck then the rest of the video is super low volume. Don't you check the video before uploading?
OMG I didn't know Mike was this band . missed them . northern invasion 2016. next time
I just did an evolution review of every album the band ever put out on my youtube channel
Confessions of the Fallen
for a channel named Loudwire, this video is awfully quiet...
Michael was my baseball coach
corpsegrinder's long lost brother
If you guys ever have a chance give a Crowbar or Carcass fact or fiction.
Damn for over 2 minutes I was like fuck I need to quit 🚬 .cause 🚬 really fucked up Aaron. If I could hear it I would have know this wasn't him......
Mike goes to small towns in nc to go grocery shopping. I would know. I've seen him. He likes band shirts. :/ it looked liked him anyway. I always want to call him Mike wowkahzowski. Wever his name was. Aka kitty's friend
Ahhw E-Any
How many times has that happened?
kool keith
Is it me or does George Fisher look a little smaller?
Try a interview with Aaron sometime ! Know his country now but might be interested
Mike "listen" Mushok
Who came for saint asonia :D
do a fact or fiction with Aaron Lewis!
He'd probably be a dickhead
Where's the knife through the bible on Tormented?!
On The back of The CD
Jerry Navarrete
(Looks more) I MUST FIND IT XD
+Spider-MenJacob i mean not on the back of the cd, the back of the book where the lyrics are
He should've asked Mike if he actually uses over 20 different tunings.
I Don't Know 0123456789 Mike did a rig rundown and confirmed this. Crazy.
TheBrotherChamp My God...

@@BYTHEMITCH drop A? You know they've been using G# (Ab) tuning since dysfunction.
Weird looking dude that Mike is
Wait a second... so this guy doesn’t listen to the shit he talks about?
Guess i now know why dysfunction is their only good album.
how bout Break The Cycle??
He looks like Michael cerna
