    Sounds good. I bought those cams. Just have to get the tools I need and put them in with the new timing chain and oil pump.

    Hey I have a 2011 police interceptor, what would a shop charge typically to install cams and tune ?

      They're charging me $1,200 n i provide new gaskets, tune would cost me here in HTX $500-750.. Hope i helped..

      @Mike Mike Johnson 25-65whp is what I estimate from untuned to tuned man, oh n make sure cams are degreed to avoid ptvc issues n to make the most hp possible..

      @Mike Mike Johnson I say both at the same time..lol Take a look at my P71 n what I'm doing to it.. My best 0-60mph time is 7.5 with Longtubes n Marty tune on my widened 17x12 steelies that weigh 84lbs..lol

      @@P71ScrewHead Nice , was that with the cam or did you purchase cam yourself and that 1200 is just installation/labor .....also what shop in H town bro , I'm actually right up the road in College Station, my Vicky needs an attitude adjustment and cam and headers or just cam sounds like the ticket to do it ! Any response from any knowledgeable gear ⚙️ head would truly appreciated, I'm not a noob with mechanical work it anything but I've never opened a block and made UPGRADES either...so again any knowledgeable response would be truly appreciated, I have about 3k budget in total to play with a 2011 crown Victoria police interceptor......shoot me ideas and insights , Wondering what it would cost to just fully stroke this 4.6 2v with ported heads and cam .... I can almost hear hollering through them flowmaster super 10s !!!!!

    You have a LX Sport, just like me! I can't justify $1,200 for the Stainless Works, but Kooks or BBK for a Mustang for $4xx could do it

      They all are expensive now BBK don’t fit the because the routing isn’t the same as the Mustang

      No Sir,no secret...
      I just went through about 5 different sets of header combinations, tah find the right combo tah clear...
      (I already had a few sets from some mustang's, and we did a set of headers on a 02 Expedition 5.4l, and the drivers side cleared on my 02 Merc...)
      To be specific, the drivers side was an eBay Special pacesetter knock off design,2bolt loose collector flange.

      The original head blew out spark plugs on all 8 cylinders and 3 timesert repairs, which was a pretty common problem until Ford revised and re-tooled the head castings with double the spark plug threads, from 4 to 8. I pulled heads off an '07 Grand Marquis and had MPR Racing Engines do a complete rebuild w/ the Comp cams, Ford GT rockers/followers, new lash adjusters, new valve guides/seals, Comp valve springs and Manley valves. I also included ARP2000 head studs for the install. Those stage 3 cams should make quite a bit more HP than the 262's. Let me know your numbers!

      @@mattumber5646 Stage 3's and most stage 2's won't fit without notched pistons. Running them on stock internals with destroy your valves and your pistons, and you'll have a terrible tapping sound.

    Are they just sn95 new edge headers? Dou have a part number? Did you have to pull the motor to get them in there?

      Kooks part #12022000. Check out ADTR.net also, they have Stainless Works headers specific for these cars. Mustang headers won't fit, these cars have frame rails you'd have to contend with. The motor was in but the trans was out when we installed them, so access was much easier.

    Which exact headers are those I got a 09 cvpi and from what I keep hearing I can’t put in headers because of the steering wheel shaft

      You can do a lot of things with a little effert. Those headers will fit your 09.

      I have an 09 P71 n put Maximizer's longtubes n it does hit the steering shaft, but sound great open..lol Check my channel to see a video of them..

      I bought O2 Sensor Simulators, which worked to get rid of the check engine light, but the more you mod the more you'll need a tune. A tune will make or break your performance on these things. Palm Beach Dyno hooked me up with a great tune, I highly recommend them!

    Any rubbing issues with the steering shaft? Used to run stainless works but sold em.

      No, the clearance is tight but I haven't had any issues yet. The rear pipe comes a little close to the fuel line but I also plan on wrapping them. The Kooks have more curvy bends, which I thought couldn't hurt because either way I was paying a boatload. Why did you get rid of the SW ones?

      @@yofmatt7866 was in a tight squeeze for money at the time and had to pay off a hefty fine for going against emissions here in California lol. I knew what I was gettin into from the start but wasn’t expecting to get caught up with the headers.

      Nope, these were designed for 2003+ Panthers. I did use Stage 8 locking header bolts though, from ADTR.net.

      I'm not sure. The frame was changed a lot in 2003 to make it stiffer for the P71 and Mercury Marauder. I've got a 2000 Grand Marquis, so I'm in the same boat as you, wondering what I can buy and what I would need to have fabricated to turn this beautiful roadburner into the car I know it can be.

    If you're gonna show off your car and it's fancy new headers:
    1. Clean it.
    2. Fix the freakin' busted oil dipstick
    3. Tell us how difficult or easy it was to install the parts in question. At least make a note or sup'm. Consider telling us where to get a good price on them.
    You were wearing proper shoes and actual pants, not shorts/pajamas and flip-flops. You get points for that.
