Would you recommend this for Turkish coffee grinding? Thanks. Otherwise which grinders would you recommend for home use of making Turkish coffee. Budget top $1000.
Hello! We don’t recommend any of our electric grinders for Turkish coffee because the grind size needs to be so fine (it easily clogs up the grinder). For making Turkish coffee at home, a hand grinder is a good choice.
@@SeattleCoffeeGear Thank you so much for taking the time and replying. I have a hand grinder but I have some tendonitis and tennis elbow issues, but maybe I can look for a hand grinder that's a bit easier. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot. 🙏💕🙂🌷
@@loooveismusic8 We use this grinder to grind for Turkish in our shop too. It works great, it only struggles with light roasts (gets overheated) when grinding 250g, so the only way to grind larger amounts is to slowly drop the coffee. Other issues we had with some really oily Italian coffees can clog the burrs and you have to clean them. The only way to combat the problem is to open it up and clean the burrs. And then re-calibrate the grinder again… Which is a kinda long process (15-20min). Hope this helps :)
@@brewio Thanks for letting me know. Yeah, through my hours of online and in person research, I have realized none of these espresso or home coffee grinders can really grind powder like Turkish coffee. As you say they clog and also it's not good for the burrs either. Still thank you for taking the time and the tips. ✌️💗☺️
@@gutinnec thanks for replying! I ended up going with another grinder. Eureka told me that the retention was around 3-4g, possibly more. Is this your experience, Gutin?
Ha, I do worry about the judgment about asking to get a bag ground. I feel like I need to explain myself-- "No, I'm making a bunch of cold brew right away!" or "No I promise it's for a dozen people for brunch and we'll drink it all!" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
2:30 John you are epic, a legend, that bit deserves to become a meme.
How would this compete with Malhkonig Guatemala K22S grinder? I think an used K22s would be a cheaper option. What do you think?
Would you recommend this for Turkish coffee grinding? Thanks.

how's the noise level of this beast? It sounds like a great alternative/ step up from the mazzer SJ for home espresso.
The noise is lower than a EK43 for me.

@@dhwdhhskcbfusbsmsss Hi, is that 3-4g of every 20g? That is a lot.
@@PJGloria yeah. each dose.
Have you tried having it overheat?

Comparison vs the 75e would be great!!!:)
Do they make those pump-hoppers for a basic Atom? Mine retains about 2 grams :SSS
SovietLlamaMC yeah it’s called the ‘blow up’ system.
Does it do Turkish grinds?
Yes it does, but you need a good calibration before!
@@gutinnec what do you mean? You mean the burr carrier (using shims..etc)?
So you removed it's grinder and replaced with something else how is that reviewing machine
