Fibreglass repairs are such a pain , it actually rots , so even though you get a nice top finish , the interior is still delaminated , so the job doesn’t last . I prefer a filler with a separate catalyst , so you can change ratios , depending on the results you want . 👍🇨🇦
Can you imagine how far along you would be if you didn't have these issues? I guess your business partner has deep pockets for what you've gone through. Your finished product is your name, and we will know you for decades. Don't work too hard Cassidy.❤
Be carful using those Blue shop paper towels. For some reason they leave behind an oily residue. I found this out by trying to clean my eye glasses with them and couldn’t get them clear. They always left behind a film of some sort.
Fiberglass the cracks are called spider cracks or stress cracks you gotta grind through the gelcoat and build it back up or grind each crack or they will keep coming back last thing to do is body work it then adding more gelcoat then paint prep I did fiberglass repairs for over 30 years
Good work Cassidy be much better when you can do it all in the one shop even though I flip cars all the time these project type cars are a slow return for your money you need to stick to later model cars quick repair quick profit
Cassidy there's a U shaped locking clip between the key cylinder and body panel same as the door locks removing it will release the cylinder Merry Christmas to you and yours
Years ago I used a product called vetbond. I was like a gray very thin bondo. Was a two part product. I can’t find it anywhere at the moment to show you. Hopefully this helps.
Hopefully your Christmas goes better than mine ! Spent 2 hours waiting to get towed and spent 2. 1/2 hours in a row truck. The transmission slipping in a Nissan Sentra. Anyways. MERRY Christmas !!
was that Blair at the start reading the instructions? Does it say put them cure lights on it for faster hardening? Fiberglass likes california sunny weather from my experiences....a ten year old bottle yikes!
Hi Cassidy! I watch your videos from Brazil, state of rio grande do sul, city of pelotas. distant countries, but through videos so close! Thanks for the videos, always following! big hug!
That's fiberglass for ya.. older it is usually more of a pain in the ass it is for cracking like that which is a pain cos there is no easy way to fix it. The tiny cracks in the front I would say you gotta skim some of the glass off and refinish onto the glass before ya high fill like he was saying at the start when you found them... Lucky it's not the whole car tho tbh!
Trial and error Cass not your fault and a good catch on the experation... May you and your BF have a blessed Christmas. We all look forward to a new year and projects!
This vette is going to be your breast I MEAN BEST project yet. That’s my favorite year and color for a vette. Too bad you’re in Canada or I’d be interested in buying it. How cold is Mikes shop it looks a little nippy in there. Keep doing you you’re doing great!
lordco owes you money put in a labour claim for selling you a out of date product if they can’t do there job properly they should get out of the business sold auto body products for 35 years someone needs to be checking date codes part of the job stay clear of them find a auto body supply place that’s on the ball

Who else loves Cass's shop gear?
GOOD JOB!...Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Being December how cool is the shop ? Is it possible that the material is just a bit too cool ?
I think if you can get a pocketed person that wants good work,
You could do a few high-end cars a year in-between some insurance jobs.
Merry Christmas. What about sand own deeper. Skim over with fiber glass filler, sand down and prime. Just a suggestion.
Nice to see you at it
Have you sanded thru the gel coat and that is why you are seeing the fibers?
Is that supper bond.
Use feather fill primer
Great video . Hard working lady.

I’ve always used tiger har for fiberglass repair. Comes in a can and ready to use. Or fiberglass resin two part. But the tiger hair is awesome.

spray hole car with g2 feather fill
Merry Christmas to you all
If it takes them over a week to rebuild a Turbo Hydromantic 350/400, they need to close the doors. I can build one in about 2 1/2 hours
Thanks for the update Happy Christmas and Happy New Vette Year Cass 👩🔧🤶🎅🎄☃🌨❄🥳🍾🥂
you go girl
I know it's old school but a heat lamp would probably do the trick......old school
I drill a hole at the ends of the bad cracks to stop them spreading then plastic padding fibre glass paste then body filler then sealer
What about kitty hair bondo
Deadly video
The best lesson one can learn is Failure!👍🇨🇦🇺🇸
They must give you the money back because why give you an expired product?

Nothing personal. really, that car has been there too long. Do a Mike Hall special and use rattle cans to paint it and ship it
Go outdated product and thanks for nothing Lordco. Merry Christmas.
What's taking so long to work on that car how to get the other shop now it's back at Mike's taking forever to get the body pillow
What exactly are you trying to say? You typed a word salad.
