The same monitor, except from the fact that it is being sold by Swit (Swit CM-S75F). I have been using it for the past 2-3 months with my Pocket 6K and it has been great so far, especially the false color tool and the brightness. However, you are 100% right about the slow startup of the monitor and the joystick not being that intuitive
@@damiencooper You 're absolutely right, my mistake. I should have mentioned that I prefer this false tool to others in other monitors I used in the past.
When joysticks are included in a product like this I love it because its way more intuitive then pushing multiple buttons that all feel the same and you need to do a lot of trial and error before you get what you want, but also I like it better than most touch screens because I hate having my screen covered in fingerprints
Hey there! Thanks for this great review! I think there is one mayor flaw that really nobody is mentioning and this is that the exposure tools are not reacting to luts. Don't you shoot log material?
@monkeypixels, can you help me ? I have this monitor right .. when I turn on the lut inside my c500 .. the lut is way to dark on the G7 but looks perfectly fine on the default terminal monitor
@@damiencooper Thanks for your reply, It got me very worried that it can melt something or even worse get on fire.. It's reassuring coming from you. Thanks man.
It's not three times the price though. you need to compare it to the lut7s not the lut7. And then we're about 200$ off. so you're paying 200$ for better build quality and higher brightness. using it with a 12k camera, that's a no brainer for me. I do however really dislike the start up times. But I will do a comparison between the two soon
We bought the C300III and I will shoot out content on both cameras starting next week! There’s various reasons we got the C300III over the C500 actually
@@damiencooper Thanks for your answer. Do you make a video about it? Or can you explain it briefly? I just can't decide between the two cameras. Of course it is ultimately a personal decision (and what you are do with it) and there is no right one ... but i just wonder why some people choose the c500 II or c300 III. Thx
X 8 nope. Still the same. But I typically leave everything on when shooting on the C300III and the switching problem doesn’t exist there either. So I’d say it depends on the cam
@@damiencooper So its not a problem with C300III but it is with BMPCC6K? Is that what you meant? I have one more serious question. Does this monitor support 4K 60fps or higher? I heard this monitor is unable to detect a signal higher than 30fps in UHD. If the camera is sending a signal at a higher frame rate, this will not display it?
Which 7" on-screen monitor are you using?

Yiannis Moutselos I have to say I prefer the black Magic’s own false color

exactly. That was my thought process too!
I love the non glossy reflective screen it has and the superior build quality, ll consider this monitor
Neoray 💯 agreed
Thanks for this video. Please how to do you mirror the display of the monitor?

Great work as always my man.
So do you prefer this over your feelworld 7 inch monitor?
Great review! Does the T7 model suffer from the playback delay like you mentioned in 10:20?
Considering on picking one up for my pocket 4k
The sunhood is used to cut down reflection if you didn't know so yes, it is a good option to have.
Soul Glo I know of course. But at 3000nits I always felt the brightness just powers through every reflection
@@damiencooper you just said you don't understand why it came with it LOL!!! ai
Soul Glo yes, because it’s not needed on a monitor that bright

excellent review. And right on time for me... i'm in the market for a monitor ! I"ll go check it out . thanks
I think it’s a really good option for the price!
@@damiencooper - drats..they dont have it at B&H Photo Video... hands on would have to be a purchase i guess....
How do you add the nuts to the monitor, for some reason it won't read the lots? it shows Fat32 but no lots
Heard the HDMI and SDI delay makes it hard to do pull focus. Is it true?
Can u set the fals color (is it possible to set the colors for values ur self?)
Just got this monitor (Swit branded) and the top and bottom screw mounts get extremely hot! I can't even touch it. Do you also have this experience?
yes that's normal. I mounted a wireless rtnsmitter on top once and it kept overheating. Then I noticed how hot it gets
@@damiencooper Thanks for your reply, It got me very worried that it can melt something or even worse get on fire.. It's reassuring coming from you. Thanks man.
If you weren't set one, would you still have bought one though? Is it really worth being almost 3x the cost of the Feelworld?

hows the latency? is it bad to a point you cant rack or pull focus.. its my only gripe i see.. but cant guage it
interresting people keep asking about latency.. I have never had an on cam monitor where I could see any latency at all
whats your favorite monitor right now?
still the Osee G7. This is my main monitor for the C300
