Thats right, mine also has the most power at 4000rpm and after that you must shift. Also Stage 2 but with stock turbo (2260VK) intake, bigger MAF, downpipe and dual fuel pump
I have the automatic tramsmission box which switches @4500rpm latest. Meanwhile I also heard that an optimized GTB2260 turbo spools faster than my GTD2872 and doesn't have the low power below 2000rpm, so if you don't plan to achieve more than 400hp the optimized stock turbo is absolutely OK. I had planned to upgrade the fuel pump later, but after some weeks of driving the clutches began to slip, so the tuner reduced torque at lower revs and gear. In the moment I plan to go back to stock turbo and stock injectors to avoid changing the clutches. Then i may have approx. 300hp and 600Nm, that's enough and good for a daily driver.
@@andreasb9724 Well, optimized GTB2260 still needs at least 1800rpm to have usable boost in my particular case. The problem that I am facing now is that the clutch (its 6 speed manual) is slipping a bit at 2500-2700rpm because I request too much boost (around 2bar) early on and probably goes beyond 700Nm limit of the manual gearbox clutch plate. I may also turn down boost at low rpms to avoid this because its my daily driver.
@@VladoT Max. boost of my GTD2872 is 2,38 bar (3,38bar absolute), but it needs at least 2200 rpm, below that there's NO power at all! You can see that in my other videos. SSP is a manufacturer of clutch packs for the automatic gearbox which can handle up to 1000Nm, that would be a solution for my own problem, but that would mean to spend another 3000€ for the clutches including installation. There also exist clutches for the manual gearbox which can handle 800Nm or even more, I found some here on YT, e.g. Sachs Performance and others. I don't know the price, just search for it.
@@antoniospoljar4622 Well that's the problem. Of course you can't pass TÜV with these mods, so every 2nd year I'll have to change Downpipe to DPF, pass TÜV and change back again. But for the future; I'm looking for a race cat and DPF, with those it will work hopefully. By the way, look here for mods list: www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/audi-a5-b8-3-0-tdi-cr245-cduc/ and refer to version 7, that's what I did so far, too. Their A5 V1 project was my motivation and their A5 V2 project was my guideline

@@andreasb9724 Thank you for this info and your reply.
Was that built very expensive to get to the stage 2? I am looking to buy a5.
It wasn't cheap, that's true. All in all, the engine modifications including programming, S5 brakes, rims and tyres were approx. 10K€
@@andreasb9724 do you live in germany i have a couple question for you about that stage 2?
Yes I do, but there's a complete spec list online if you're looking for it
@@andreasb9724 I have questions about Tüv can you pass it without dpf and egr and that other stuff because you went stage 2
