If you own the game through steam, then try verifying the files of Rain World on steam. Sometimes this can help 'reacquire' any corrupted files that fail to load and are giving your game issues. If you have any mods enabled, then try to disable some of them if you think they might be conflicting with the game or any other mods. I hope this works and you figure it out so you can finish your playthrough!
