After you finish the discography can you watch some of their live shows? I recommend the 1999 Coachella show where Maynard is painted blue. Also they play with Buzz Osborn and perform You Lied and Spasm together.
Dude, I love reactions like this.. I'm 43 and still fascinated with everything this band has created. And I've found myself enjoying watching the new breed, like yourself experience songs like this for the first time 🤘
Every album is distinctly different from the last. They recreate themselves with a different theme each time. Get ready for Jambi, which, was inspired by Meshuggah when they were touring with them. The time signatures/transitions and grooves are otherwordly and introduces a djent style change. Btw you should read about TOOLs writing process and the way they come in with a bunch of riffs and then create a mathematical structure in which to combine them. Maynard doesnt get involved until the very end after theyve been hammering them out for years. Each song is essentially multiple songs meshed together.
Starting to notice Adam doesn't exactly repeat the riff. like in the post-chorus he mixes it up ever so sweetly leading into the next measure. Just goes to prove you can listen to Tool for YEARS and catch something new to the ears nearly every time..
Man, I had high hopes for this video but gave up when I got 8 minutes in and the content I came for hadn't even started yet. Gotta balance your promos with the content.
Danny Carey referred to this album as Tool's blues album.
Notice the British newscaster voice [behind] the music? The same guy appears later in the album, as a Doctor
Tool is great at nailing the climax of a song near the end… this song is one of the best at that - when Maynard raises his pitch - shivers!

Yes bro it starts at about 10 minutes. Remember this is the start of an album reaction so the other videos will have no promotions
Thought this too. Big turnoff
