Awesome report Shawn! Looks like another solid flight with Delta, except for the small issue with the PTVs freezing. The menu is a nice touch and both dinner and breakfast look good and sufficient. Thanks again Brendan
Thanks for the video. I will be flying this same route next week. I would have ordered the tortellini too; I think pasta is the best choice in Delta economy.
That's correct! I had also the pasta on my flight from New York JFK to Amsterdam and it was quite good. My father said, that his chicken option was not that good and indeed we both choose the chicken last year on the flight DL138 (A333) from Detroit to Amsterdam and it was awful! Maybe I will try the cold salad option than can I compare which one is the best ;)
I’m back from Buenos Aires. Very nice flight going down to Argentina in Economy Comfort. I was in the second row and had plenty of legroom. Coming back in Economy Comfort was terrible. I was in the first row of EC and I there was no legroom because the bulkhead was so close to the seat. I couldn’t extend my legs. Luckily I saw two side seats that were empty; the flight attendant said I could sit there instead. It was in regular economy but at least I could extend my legs. The next time I fly EC I will not choose the front row. The entertainment was great on the plane....so many choices and channels. I choose the pasta there and back. I always think that’s the best choice. On the way back we were served dulce de leche cake. Such a welcome change because they usually serve some stupid brownie. My flight back was probably the worst I had flying Delta because there was no legroom, even though I was in economy comfort. I will watch your video again so I can compare notes!
Im glad you enjoyed the flight and thank you for taking the time and writing down your own experience! Really helpful for the people here that watch this video. Regarding the seating issue. I recommend next time you use www.seatguru.com/ before selecting your seats. You input the airline and flight info and it loads the plane type and shows you which seats are good/bad or average. I always use it when I'm flying a different aircraft layout as one time I was almost put on a window seat with no window! I caught it before boarding so I was able to move.
Shawn's Travels Was it crowded at immigration? I couldn’t determine how long the line was at the end of your video. I arrived Saturday morning and it took at least an hour to get through. And it was so stuffy waiting in line!
@@tiago161 I'm an Argentine citizen, I walked through in less than 15mins. But I have seen the foreigner line to be quiet long. It also depends if you land when a bunch of other flights land. Not as bad as London Heathrow though! haha
I know this was 4 years ago ,but I try asking anyway ! Lol. How did it go !? As I am planning to visit Argentina via this route ,Atlanta to Buenos Aires in NOVEMBER, too !! 😀 Not this year ,maybe the next or 2 years later or so.👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇦🇷💞
Thanks for the real time take-off and landing. I'm from BA and I'll be doing the opposite route in December with a very old Delta plane a Boeing 767-300. A 10 hour ride. Do you know this plane? It's an Aerolíneas Argentinas flight operated by Delta so I won't be able to choose my seat 😪 I don't even know if they'll be serving dinner since the flight leaves at 9.15 p.m. Anything you can comment about my flight will be welcome.
Thank you for the comment, much appreciated. Yes I have flown in various Delta 767. Detroit to London ruclips.net/video/oHYtjokKarc/видео.html and multiple times from Los Angeles to New York, ruclips.net/video/Vbvvn-47blY/видео.html. Check those videos out if you would like to the see the interior. All the times I have flown in Delta's 767 have been with updated cabin. Clean interior and updated screens. But some are showing a little bit of age. They should still be serving dinner and a breakfast option. There will most likely be a menu present or given to you after boarding. If you are flying flight # DL110 its the same one I flew in return. I just did not do a report on it. Are you flying the cheapest fare? If you are then you won't be able to choose seats until check-in. I would try to search your reservation on the Delta site and see if you can select the seats directly on their site. I've had this issue when I fly with Partner airlines like KLM and Virgin. Hopefully that has answered your questions and if you have anymore just let me know. Suerte y buen viaje!
Shawn, you're a genius!! I called Delta add you suggested and they solved the problem and assigned me my seats! Thank you!!! Please contact me if you ever come to Buenos Aires again! ☺️
@@ambarinag2710 That is so awesome! I'm glad you got it sorted out. Sometimes booking with partner flights can be a hassle but sometimes it has benefits. You might be able to access your reservation directly at delta.com with the same Reservation Code. Sometimes that works too. I might be flying back January! But tickets are outrageous... $1500 round-trip. I'll keep you posted 👍
@@ShawnsTravels Jeez 1500! I bought mine BUE-ATL for US957 (will fly in December). January is so hot here! Unless you go to the South. But perhaps you're used to it. I'm from Ciudad de Buenos Aires... Pretty hot with so much cement. If there's anything I can do for you, don't hesitate to contact me.
Yes, you are correct! I will try to flight Aerolineas Argentinas this year to compare. My time in Buenos Aires I was going to buy a flight on Aerolineas from Jorge Newbery to Mar Del Plata. But it happened right as the strikes were going on so I had to go on Micro PLUSMAR... Next time though!

Very smooth landing indeed...A330 is known for that.
Best report beautiful video
Hey Shawn! Thanks for sharing your trip. I'm doing the same thing but from SMF on March 22nd.
Delta has been very good in international flights. Enjoy your flight!

Not sure why the plane has NW at the end since Northwest Airlines has been no longer existing since 2010
Because when Delta bought out and merged with Northwest, they kept their airplanes and had them painted Delta colors.
@@ShawnsTravels Yeah but this exact model was built in 2016, 6 years after NW ceased to exist

Aerolineas Argentinas plane at the end off the video and flight was operated in cooperation with AR as well.

I'm sorry to hear that. Your DL101 flight was the flight AR what?
It takes 9hr to get from ATL to Buenos Aires? or did that include the LA trip?
Yes between 9-10hrs to do ATL Buenos Aires. The LA portion is separate, about another 4hrs, without counting layover.
How long was the wait for your connection?
If I remember correctly I had about 1hr30min connection in Atlanta.
What Was you Seat number?
Your*
I believe I was in Seat 23A or 24A I cant remember. I'm gonna make sure to include that in the next flight reports :)
Shawn's Travels thank you
WHAT RUNWAY WAS FOR TAKE OFF
I believe it was 9L
Shawn's Travels yeah it was Southside 9L
Thanks for the confirmation!
