Grand Theft Auto VI (also known as Grand Theft Auto Six, GTA 6, and GTAVI) is an action-adventure game currently in development by Rockstar Games. Big facts
I'm really feeling like GTA V will prove to be the outlier in the series.
It's all looking like GTA VI will be grittier and more realistic akin to GTA IV, bringing back many of those mechanics and others from San Andreas. It will probably also bring forward all the core mechanics from RDR2 including things like a personal vehicle (instead of a horse), being able to inspect items LA:Noire style, the banner that appears with the weather and time of day when you arrive at a location, the honor and wanted systems (a modern version of the bounty from RDR and the rumours suggest San Andreas-style gangs are back), street fighting as part of the plot, and the leaks show that RDR2-style random encounters are a definite.
One of the leaked videos also shows improved car crash physics and damage which are more realistic than GTA V and look more like a tighter version of what was seen in GTA IV.

GTA V has aged way worse than previous games from the franchise anyway, so it will probably just contribute a little more

Name 1 GTA title that remained in tha top 5 most purchased games that year for 10 years in a row. To make it easy for you name 1 game that did that from any series, tha closest you will come is maybe Skyrim.

I Hope it’s like rdr2 with simulator-lite mechanics like fueling your car, cleaning your guns, feeding your character, having them shower etc.
I also hope the ability to talk to any npc comes back
Honestly sleeping to make hair grow and shit instead of just saving the game would be nice but having to sleep repeatedly every in game night in a game like gta would suck

One thing I noticed in the leaks is that NPC's now sometimes walk in groups. Like a family or a group of friends walking together

I hope so, in GTA 5 it's wierd, a group looks like they're friends, but if you bump into them and they stumble into the guy next to them, they just start attacking each other

Happens with all of the GTA games I remember being told we'd have seasonal weather in GTA 5 leading people to say there was a real calendar system which turned out to be nothing more than an online event around certain holidays they said we'd get DLC which ended up having no impact on story mode ... And these were just the things that were over exaggerated or misunderstood there were outright lies like you said with the tires where there was no truth to anything at all ... We might spot 5 to 10 features when the trailer drops but until then we really don't know anything

For example, Lucia hates mondays... a year ago I read that Rose hated mondays and collaborated with 2 other protagonists, Ricardo and Casey, and Rose was a cop.

I hope you don’t just black out, all though it would add some stress and strategy to your gameplay. If they decide to do that, I’d want to be able to have a camper van or an RV, especially with how big the maps supposed to be.
It would be cool if not sleeping impacted your sanity rather then just blacking out. Or rather if you blacked out after a certain amount of days. That would be fine too.

where do you cut the line between reality consequences vs just a video game? sounds like a GTA sims by GTA 10
Id like to see a DLC where you play as a detective and you have to solve crimes and end up in bad situations
It would be cool if your able to play as the cops to not just the criminals and we would get more of an inside into how the cops work to and you could call for backup if things go wrong and so on

The idea for the game wasn't bad tho I'd love an LA Noire II or even a GTA spin-off dlc called LSPD VCPD or LCPD but as a full standalone game? Nah...and I only see the cop thing working if it's tied into the main story... remember little nightmares dlc with the gnome? And it ended up being the boy?
Imagine this
GTA 6 started off with a prison break where a police officer help aid your escape but dies in the process, the dlc could be like "this is the life of the officer months before their death"
Or imagine the whole game ur being hunted by a task force and the dlc is about the inevitable end of the task force (like a agent Milton dlc for rdr2)

Initially i was going to say that not only am i fairly certain a lot of these " features" are pure fiction, but also that i hope even that they arent real. I enjoy RPG's thoroughly but there is such thing as overdoing it, especially in the GTA series.. But on 2nd thought, the thought of being able to have an actual legal occupation in this game is kind of intriguing. The concept of living a double life actually sounds like a lot of fun, using businesses as fronts and actually being able to work the job ( should be optional of course) seems like it would add an extra layer of immersion. In past games the characters were exactly what they were, criminals. Very transparent so it would be cool to have options like that available i think

Radio stations in Gta games have always been based on the area where the game takes place. Why would Dr Dre have a radio station in Vice City?
The ambitions should probably be taken with a ton of salt anyway - can't imagine they'll bring it all in so that the casual target audience can really have all-around fun with it. You can see very well in RDR2 that realism is extremely well received, but by no means could generate such a reach as the much more arcadey GTA.
I'd be really happy if this time they also split their resources so that online and single-player expansions would be possible.
The online part will certainly get a lot of attention, but I personally am not interested in it. Therefore, I hope that DLCs will really come that complement the SP in a high-quality way. Gladly also as paid DLC, if the quality is right.
If the rumors are true that the world will be supplemented by complete cities, etc., they could of me even per new large area again charge the full price. The main thing is that there is then also enough content in it.

This all sounds like a bit much, especially the things to add realism. Starting to lose health mid mission because your character didn't get a nap doesn't sound interesting, it sounds annoying.
I don't mind new idle animations though, Saints Row 2 had those and I freakin loved them. Stop in a spot and your character might pull out a guitar, sit down, look at their phhone, or even join in a cheer.

I like to get jobs other than crime jobs, it gives project zomboid(minus the apocalypse and zombies) and RDR2 with trader roles, collector and just walking around Saint Denis as a citizen. (edit: and Sims 4)

So after watching your video , I have one question, do us the player, the people actually buying the game, get to make any decisions about our characters behaviour and quirks or are we just playing a scripted story with options that actually mean nothing apart from costing our characters money.

Why do I feel like some (if not ALL) of these things are totally fabricated. Sure all these features would be nice, but come on man, you really expect me to believe that all of these things are 100% true? It's a video game, not real life man!
This all sounds like too much. I play video games to de stress from the real world. I don’t need to worry about my character being stressed over debt and sleepless nights like it’s the real world.

I appreciate realism but having to make your character sleep and all is a little much! Without playing it yet, it's my first thought. I do love storyline and graphics, especially being able to do things only on GTA 😅

i see you R* you’re headed down the road i wanted GTA to take since the first GTA, make it 3d yall did that, then low key pull away from the whole GTA theme in a sense but add some real life simulator aspects to the game, a San Andreas on steroids if you will lol but GTA is the perfect foundation for a simulator!
At least they are trying out new stuff. There is always room for improvement. Like i wished there were harder in-game consequences to player killers in GTA Online. It sucks when some people are just there to kill others. Even Gangster need to have a beef first before the kill each other. That "Kill anyone" behaviour should mean that you are a serial killer maniac thats not to be trusted. so if other people kill you they should be awarded a lot of money for catching you. those people should have big penalties what they could do because they are "wanted for multiple murder". Also they could start mit one or two additional stars when police starts chasing them because of that... it just needs some ingame consequences for being a d*ck. Of course those consequences should go away after a while of good behavior.

it would be cool if there are jobs in gta 6 online, like police officer , firefighter, doctors or maybe even construction workers? i know fast food should be a possibility. Also would be cool if our gta character could become a stripper, sounds silly but if you think about it, it makes sense. also if your job finds out that your a criminal , you loose your job. idk just an idea
