Very well explained, thanks
Thank you so much for the information
Thank you for your feedback!
That's great!
Please explain more details about power factor and hybrid in double conversion technology inverter…thank you
Can you show to us model of "Control system" ? thank you !!!
Do modern inverters have built in controller or set points to control their power factor?
Hi Niazi, thank you for reaching out!
A built-in controller inside each inverter would probably not be the most appropriate solution, as usually one installation contains several photovoltaic inverters.
As we see it, it's better to have a control system (transverse to the complete installation) which gets measures from the different photovoltaic inverters, and gets the value of the power factor at site level (at the point of common coupling).
Based on this data, this control system determines and communicates the optimal set point to each of the photovoltaic inverters.
What can be the other effects of PV system for reduction of Power factor and how can we improve pf within photovoltaic system?

What about power quality and power factor when the excess amount is exported to grid? I mean in Mains revenue meter what will be the PF ( inductive /capacitive) at the time of export?

How do I implement this? Ever since I've installed a schneider solar inverter my PF loss is more than the generation gain.
It is difficult to provide an answer for specific cases without knowing the context.
For your concrete case - please contact your local Schneider Electric Support Center.
Can more capacitors be added to increase pf?

@Schneider Electric what is response time to set kVAR value on a fluctuating load.

Kindly confirm that will capacitor bank panel also work along this control system? because it will be better to get more KVAR from capacitor bank either from the inverter.
Kindly confirm that will capacitor bank panel also work along this control system? because it will be better to get more KVAR from capacitor bank either from the inverter. Like if we have 150 KVAR Load along with 10KVAR fluctuating KVAR. We set the setting like 120 kVAR should be adjusted by capacitor bank panel and remaining divide it on inverter and grid line w.r.t real load.
Thanks for your question, Sohail. - Our expert is on leave and will answer back as soon as possible, when back to the office. If your question is urgent, you may try to contact your local Schneider Electric support: www.se.com/ww/en/work/support/country-selector/contact-us.jsp
Hi Sohail, thank you very much for your patience! - The solution we describe in the video is suitable only to compensate the power factor impact of the PV system. When it is necessary to compensate the reactive power of the loads, capacitor banks are the suitable solution. And if the reactive consumption of the loads is highly fluctuating as you describe, automatic or dynamic compensation will be recommended. For more information:

@@schneiderelectric welcome ☺️ and thanks to explain
Dear Madam as per your solution there is loss for installation and investor company in solar PV plant .
I have one more solution , as we know that we are using APFC Controller for supplying reactive var but due to reason because APFC get sum of solar and grid that's why not able to measured only grid .
If we Install CT of APFC panel In main incomer of grid line and then operate Capacitor duty contactor though it then you will be able to supply Var for reactive power demand . in this way you will utilise full solar power for active power .
because if we supply reactive power from inverter then there is decreasement in active power of inverter which is finally a loss of inverter power
Ranjit your solution is partially correct, what if only solar produced kWh are being utilised by the industry for certain time of day? As your sensing is of Mains, the APFC will remain there as mere statue.
Hello Ranjit! You are right, dedicated PF equipment to correct PF loss is a good alternative solution.
I would like to know more about this, do you maybe have some drawings of this kind of systems. Also how would you connect smart-meters and what would you really get from grid if you produce 100% of active power you need?
Gorgeous face and explain
i can not understand what you have explained please show more detail how setup export Q-Power from inverter

did u get some solution, I am facing the same problem.........where to place the CT with integrated systems of PV solar and utility. our system consumes 300KVA and solar panels provide only 200KW , the pf goes down specially when our utility is not consuming power

Please share your solution. I'm facing same challenge.
If increase reactive power of solar inverter can't it reduce active power as well
