- I have always loved an adventure and sometimes this can get me in a pickle, but it’s so worth the journey.

Oh, almost forgot, Pelican...the maker of your kayak, makes a wheel set that straps onto the kayak to make portage much easier.

Hi Lizette,,it almost 1 am here in Florida. I’m at my brother’s house for a few more days as we discuss our mother’s wish s and details of her passing.

A Pelican kayak? How fun. When I was a kid, my mom took a job one summer at SeaCamp in the Florida Keys A perk was all her three younger kids could attend summer camp for FREE.
I learned how to sail; first using a Super Snark, then switching over to a pram, which was a bit more difficult to maneuver.
The final lesson was operating the Pelican. Fond memories.

C’était trop beau la ou tu as fais du kayak 😊, ça me rappelle quand on allait en forêt avec papa. Meme si je dois rester a l’hôpital avec lui on peu voit des choses trop géniales avec toi.
Le trou c’était une maison de castors 🦫 ? Tu as beaucoup marchée, papa il a dit que tu dois être entrain de manger du bacon 🥓 😂😂( il dit des bêtises 😂)

Another beautiful video of your area. Looking great in all black. Looks like the beaver lodge in the pond was abandoned, or they would be trying to repair the dam breach. Like all youngsters out breaking the ice and playing ice breaker, 🤣. The moose fur is more than likely winter coat drop, i have deer fur all over my yard since they come in to eat all my bushes. Canada is so beautiful . I have canoed and portaged a few times in Algonquin. This adventure you had, reminds me of that.

Lisette, Decades ago my girlfriend went overboard during high winds. We had life jackets on. The wind separated us in seconds due to the lighter boat, luckily in warm water. Took 15 minutes to recover. To this day, I'm 73, we always wear our jackets and carry a rescue rope.
Looks like a great adventure to me and quite an enjoyable day .
That would be a great place to go to enjoy with someone special and get to see you out there in the wilderness and I get watch it with you and get go on an explore adventure with you.Thanks for all the memories of Canada 🇨🇦

Rightly so, but I (we) know you are safety conscious and would never put yourself in harms way. What a beautiful adventure, despite the rain and ice. Just adds spice, right?? I saw that birch laying across the runoff and said “I bet she’s gonna walk across it.” You didn’t disappoint.

Great kayak trip! I see winter has started to release its icy grip on that area, some hints of green appearing here and there, but plenty of mudholes and standing water to go through during the long portage from your truck & back. Looks like plenty of inflow into that lake to raise its level up for spring & summer.
