@@graceharper6384 because it’s straight forward, they have surgery, u watch them post op, usually post complications r like they need blood or they have orthostatic hypotension and u give fluids. Give pain meds. Some they don’t move much and get a dvt. They r usually appreciative. and they go home or rehab. I like stable pts. nursing can be so dark cause of the deaths and psych pts and unappreciative pts.
@@graceharper6384 also the ortho surgeons at my work were nice, and honestly if I were to ever go back to get my NP, I would be an NP for ortho. It’s a good gig.

Ortho unit is my favorite unit
Hi, going to graduate in May. Can you elaborate more on why you enjoy the floor. I would like to step into the ortho floor to start off my career.
