Hoping sentries will be balanced. Hearing they cannot die now and only stop shooting, gives me hope.
Swan Song and Joker, although I highly doubt it since they removed Inspire.
@@unity3934 Same, and I kinda hope suppressed sentries make a comeback too, or that they’ll become a somewhat viable option for stealth in some cases
@@Dat_Jonx Jokers were a noted skill in payday 3
@@RUclipsAccount1776 I can't see too much use for a suppressed sentry in stealth, it would cause too much liability. If you have a scenario, I would like to hear it. I would of thought a huge group of civs alerted like no mercy with sentry guns keeping them down, but infinite cable ties so would be niche.
Just a reminder, most perk decks abilites used to be part of the skill tree system when it was first introduced 🙃
Yeah perk decks got added later. Skills had tier bonuses.
Thank fuck for no health increase in higher difficulties.
Now you can actually use the pistols for loud!
Plenty of the pistols were viable for loud, especially if you got the right perks. Problem is that a lot of them were severely outclassed.
@@stevenbobbybills There really isn't a reason for using them if there are just better options.
You only make the game more difficult for yourself which isn't necessary.
@@stevenbobbybillsyeah pistols ain’t bad and are perfectly fine, but why use a pistol when you can use, say, a grenade launcher or a faster firing SMG?
@@stevenbobbybills I mean you c a n use the bad decks like crewchief...
but is it fun? does it give you a new experience? And that's what payday 3 is hopefully trying to avoid.
@@Colea1010 that's the thing though, a lot of the pistols have better damage stats, good ammo pools / pick up rates and sustainable fire rate caps that can be further augmented by the buffs from the pistol tree, and a couple of them even provide utility such as shield-piercing.
There's a lot of variety in the class, with high ammo, lower damage or high damage, lower ammo options and some middle-ground options too, and even some automatic options. Their smaller size also works very well with a lot of dodge builds, especially if you're using akimbo pistols in your primary slot.
My guess is that this system will DEFINITELY need postlaunch work done on it, putting "your medic bags actually restore downs" or "ammo bags go from 2 charges to 8" on the same investment level as "throwing knives ricochet" or "grenade launchers explode on impacting surfaces" is not great
Who knows, maybe throwing knives and grenade launchers might be as powerful as medic and ammo bags
But you're probably right
What's bad with medic bag resetting your downs?
@@wrne7121The point is, the ammo and medic bag ones are so powerful that the other 2 mentioned cannot compare.
But you restore only one down, not all. That's actually good because it makes the team composition good, every one with different skills to help out
@@rafusca It only restoring one down doesn't really relate to varied team compositions.
I stand by my estimate that there _will_ be a meta that will need breaking up, if my estimation of the skill balancing is correct. Grenade launcher shots exploding on impact with terrain, for example, feels like the Moving Target skill from launch PD2 all over again
i love they removed perk decks and specifically dodge as a whole cuz i know so many ppl will be pissed they can't rely on not getting hit and constantly armorgating anymore absolutely based W
Makes more sense for a more realistic game where you also don’t deal with thousands of cops in one wave
dodge yea, i didnt like it and it felt pretty mandatory for the highest difficulties, but i really enjoyed slowly unlocking new perk decks and trying them out
@@daedalus6433 yep as payday 3 seems to be going for that payday the heist vibe more than payday 2 when it comes to combat which i like more and it also was harder pd2 was always a joke difficulty wise regardless of using meta weapons or decks or skills
True, I kinda like they going with PDTH style.
@@ShitOwl Not just only that. I love how the graphics is the vibe of Payday: The Heist but better ofcourse.
impressive breakdown, but you missed the tiny Dallas skill so 0/10
😢
@@MasterIndigo unironically tho this is probably the best explanation of the skills system ive seen and you werent even able to play it, nice work :)
@@MarioInATopHat Thanks man. Hope I'll be able to play it soon :)
As a PD2 fan I gotta ask: What is that cross thingy in the center of the screen?
They obviously had mods installed
crosshair
@@dawsonh420why is the hair crossed?
I hope there isn't a crosshair in the final release. Lacking a crosshair gave ADS an advantage over hipfire and made laser sights valuable beyond their stability buff.
id argue what helped payday 2 be so popular was the addition of perkdecks combines with its skill trees and the build variety they provided
Surely 21 skill points seems like too little when many built in features for stuff like medic bags or nade launchers are turned into skills? Would mean you have less to work with in the combat/survival related bits.
We'll have to see. Since everything is 1 skill point to unlock, it might not be too bad.
and also the game hasn't been fully released yet, u gotta be joking
@@bagusprayogo7025 True, could be that they limited the amount of skill points in the build played to not overwhelm players or have them create meta builds or whatever.
I feel like it gives roles to certain players instead of having one player being able to do everything with one build
I think they're trying to make the skill system like back when Payday 2 first came out. They wanted each players to have unique roles in the team with their own skill instead of everyone using Inspire Aced, Low Blow Aced, Swan Song Aced...
Am I the only one that thought he said something else at the start?
HUD is still work in progress, could change. But between the 2 different versions we've seen, I think the final version will be quite close to this.
@@MasterIndigothe HUD is going to change, they've already said what's shown in beta will be different to launch
I feel like hostages will become a necessity instead of an option
Especially on higher difficulties, for sure.
I think they will add new skills as more updates and content gets added in the future
Yes, the intent with this new skills system is that it's a framework that DLC can build upon, like how DLC perk decks got added over time.
I'm pretty sure the Rush buff is a 10% movement speed buff. Kknowley mentions it in his video and I point it out in my personal analysis of it
In-game it only says that what is on the video, no percentage mentioned. But it could very well be 10%
As long as the overall customization diversity is secured with DLC and updates, I will pack cheap bread and coffee into my mouth and pour money until the credit card stops
Skill trees look rather meager in their offerings, but maybe it's because we haven't been able to see the whole sets in each tree, maybe they are very powerful and we have yet to see it.
I'm curious to see how many skill points are required for those QoL skills like on impact explosions, if some of these are a heavy investment those trees will need work sooner than expected.
All skills only cost a single point. There are no increases for "higher tier" skills.
underrated channel
I just hope I can still play a demolitionist-type character. In PD2 I would run either a grenade launcher or a flamethrower, with max upgraded trip mines and aced Fully Loaded that let me regenerate my throwables. The fact that we haven't seen a trip mine style gadget yet and they've turned the Piglet from a normal primary weapon into a temporary and limited "Overkill weapon" is making me worry.
IIRC it has been confirmed the Ammo Bag regens throwables but for the most part I don't think your demolitionist setup will be possible on launch. It appears Trip Mines have been given up on and the Overkill Weapons/throwables appear to be the only explosives on launch
tbh trip mines are pretty useless in pd2 so then being thrown away just gets rid of another useless mechanic
@@darthvaderreviews6926 That would be unfortunate - and strange, considering it's been a thing in both previous Payday games. Trip mines were a base game deployable in both PD1 and PD2, so removing them feels like a weird move.
@@dawsonh420 That's not been my experience. With all of the upgrades I can bring 14 of them; each one can kill a good handful of enemies with the initial blast and then lock down a hallway for a solid 20 seconds with the fire trap upgrade, which is massive. When used strategically, they can cut off enemy flanking approaches and protect mission objectives like drills or electrical boxes.
Plus I get six shaped charges at the same time, which can let me bypass two security doors or a bunch of smaller ones (like the doors inside bank vaults).
Not to mention the fact that since I main a special weapon and can save on skill points because of that, I can afford to pick up Jack of All Trades and also bring a single ammo bag, so I'm not even giving up that much to bring them.
@@peterlepper5199 try it in DW or DS and you won’t get very far. i’m sure it’s fun as hell to do but it’s not viable at all in high difficulties
I miss the technician skill tree already
I sense alot of angry dallas's dying once and leaving in the future
Isn't the amount of skill trees and total skills roughly the same as in PD2?
Amount of different skills is probably a bit higher than in Payday 2, but these don't have aced versions (apart from the first tier of each skill tree)
0:00 what did you say😡
My name :(
Want to know all the skills? 🤔
👀 absolutely
1:01 what the car doin
ghetto car with air suspension
mastering a WHAT??!?!??!
Master Indigo >:(
I can finally kill them unlike payday 2 in 180k cs
Im gonna miss grinder rush(
Wait....how many downs do you have by default?
HUD seems to show 3 downs per player.
Mastery what now?!
Master Indigo >:(
Thermal drill jamming simulator.
Thankfully no. Seems like Drills are almost extinct from PD3.
Based on the beta and trailers I've seen drills seem to be gone completely as well which is a major W if that's the case
Do you know if jokers are making a return in PD3?
They aren't
No they aren't coming to pd3 and I still don't agree with that being cut but whatever lol.
@@azorat1976 Why not?
@@azorat1976Jokers were more of a crutch anyway, it was a skill that was almost completely mandatory for the higher difficulties. I’m glad it’s gone so we could focus on more team-focused gameplay.
@@RUclipsAccount1776I mean, they could be kept but massively overhauled instead of just being axed
is that the fucking aperture tag ending music
PD2 ost - Break the Rules stealth
I’ll genuinely miss my mashup of a bunch of skill trees and the sociopath perk deck I use in payday 2
Skill tree looks bare bones ..🤦♂️
Not everything is visible there
Probably because its a beta?
Hey master indigo!
Hi ozzy
Hey :)
I see "4 dlc heists for the first year" and don't want to buy this game
That's pretty much the same pace as PAYDAY 2 DLC heist have been coming out for the last 4 years
@@MasterIndigo yep, died because of this(not only because of this, actually)
@@raqnick8133wait, pd2 died because of the dlcs? lol, and I thought having 20-30k players a week even on weekdays was still alive. Those numbers are not raised by other important Coops in the industry such as L4D.
All I see is people whining about insignificant problems
The game is going to have 8 decent heists at launch followed by a year of post launch content
So sorry you're upset because a company won't release thousands of hours of content off the bat 🙄
@@vallarfaxgaming Yeeeees. Please, release a lot of DLC,well paid heists with powerful DLC weapons.
How are people accessing this game
Press and a couple Payday RUclipsrs got to play an early build.
I'm very worried about this overhauled skill system, not a single thing sounds good to me about it.
I don't know how I feel about this
absolutely not the first
you are
Actually, you are, so you're spared from the chopping block for not accepting being first
Stejný jako na PAY DAY 2
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You can run with money bags...not sure if i like that
at first I was in the same boat, but if you think about it all that does is streamline loot moving a little. the cops seem way more dangerous in this game so it will be okay I think
Good, I don't want to invite bots to my lobby only to have them carry the bags at the end of my stealth session
At this point they probably should be able to with the shit these heisters have carried on their backs
So you'd prefer slowly logging the bags across to the escape?
0:01 Who???😬💀
Master Indigo >:(
@@MasterIndigo Master & 👨🏿🦱
I'm sorry man, no offence
You're doing great content btw. Keep it up!
I don't like skills that affect the ammo capacity in weapons. At least in cases that don't make sense like with the double barrel. I was really hoping they would try to make this game a little more realistic.
Who gives a shit it’s payday
Silly but useful Skills like that are what Make Payday fun though. The games were never fully grounded in realism. I mean just think of the set pieces, even in PD:TH.
Most of the rest of the skills are serious, and realistic. But they had to sprinkle some fun ones in there for extra entertainment. I for one like having grounded builds with a little bit of a useful goof within. Keeps things lighthearted amongst all the grit.
go outside and touch grass if you want realism
@@luigiwiiUU Chillll. Just because you both have varying opinions doesn't mean you gotta be toxic. It doesn't prove anything, and it certainly doesn't change their mind. They can have their opinion.
But they also don't needa display their opinion in a way that feels like it really downplays what others are doing. In this case, what the devs chose to do.
My favorite skill was the ammo upgrades and infinite ammo from ammo bags for a time. Nothing like fanning a car98's 22 bullet clip into a dozers faceplate
Perk decks will prob come later in the game
I think they'll add more skilltrees instead of perkdecks. But we will see in the future how things go
... The skill trees here are quite literally the result of Perk Decks. They're Perks and Skills meshed together.
@@scootaloo9491this is nowhere near 2’s perk decks
@@coff2034 They absolutely are.
Just because there's no Stoic sippy or Anarchist massive armor doesn't mean they're not heavily alike.
The way they work is similar, the way you unlock them is similar, the significance of the skills you choose is much higher, just like the Perk deck you choose in 2.
@@scootaloo9491 2’s perks gave abilities and buffs, this gives “abilities” and buffs except you can blend them all together. main example being that ammo tree, basically upgraded and tweaked version of 2’s scavenger tree. its literally just the skill tree with new extra mechanics, nothing alike to sicario, hacker, grinder, stoic, leech, kingpin, sociopath, maniac.
Anyone wanna squad up with me for the beta???
kinda cringe that they are bringing back pagers
Yeah, but I can't think of any other way they could balance "kill them all" stealth strategies without pagers.
Because murdering everyone on the map is so much fun.
@@scootaloo9491and also ruins the entire point of stealth
Perhaps you should stick to payday 2 with silent assassin mod
@@vallarfaxgaming My guy, i was being sarcastic.
"Because killing everyone on the map is soooo much fun.."
As in mocking his way of thinking.
Bruh.
"Hey guys, master ind🧍🏿♂️ here"
Master Indigo >:(
I hope there are way more skills than this..
We've heard partners saying 16 skill trees. Payday 2 has 5 skill trees split into 3 each totaling 15 skill subtrees. So there are more invidual skills, but less aced versions.
16 skill trees in total, only 5 shown in the image
There are literally over 100 skills.
