This is insane af. I'm looking to build my first eurorack system, but have no idea which modules to go for to get the classic breakcore sound. Are there any specific modules doing most of the heavy lifting glitching wise or is it a combination of lots of modules?
It’s a good combination. While there are modules marketed as “glitch modules”, you can coax it out of most things. For my breaks specifically I user Erica sampledrum, but any sampler than can chop would work fine.
Thank you! All of the triggers are simple modulated clock divisions coming from Moffenzeef Mito. As far as the drum sounds I have two channels of SampleDrum running the kick drum and breaks, then a wavetable drum (moffenzeef muskrat) and a chaotic noise source (moffenzeef dial up).
@@hypnoz123 They are both unfortunately discontinued and sort of unobtainium at this point. They could come up used though. Check out the 4ms rcd as an option to replace Mito, it’s what Mito was based on. For deviant, Kermit mk3 might be able to get close. Maybe bitcrush white noise and run that through a sample and hold? Edit: or visa versa, white noise->s&h->bit crush->modulation destination

Fantastic! What's handling that insanely awesome drum sequencing? And what are you using for your percussion sounds? Are they all sample based?
