Not a single one of those players in the video improved in these 10 minutes. And it was boring as hell. How about letting them play basketball instead of these pointless drills There are so many different reads out of downscreens and it all depends on what the defense does. You can't improve decision making when going 3v0.

@@superfrikkzzlatan491 that's where you're wrong, offense should dictate where the defense should be. Most players can read a 3-2, 2,3, 1-3-1, 2-2-1 etc. The offensive player needs to be thinking triple threat every time they touch the ball. I am a defensive minded person, so I'm always teaching defense is high percentage offense!

@@superfrikkzzlatan491 are you serious..... this is basketball 101....I agree you add defense later, bt without this drill kids/players won't understand moving without the basketball

This workout would be good to show players in the beginning of the season the proper way to set and use screens but would not be a good drill to train players with. I don’t believe in having players memorizing plays and utilizing them in games(one or two plays is good to have in certain situations but I’m good at drawing up plays against the other teams weaknesses so I prefer that). Teaching players how to play and perfecting their skills and craft is the way to go. Scheming or putting them in a play will not better them for the future. Same thing with playing zone or press at the youth level. The only thing any of these do at a youth level is increase the coaches wins.
