High on Taste and Flavor and endless varieties. whereas Delhi chaat lacks that punchy flavor and the variety is too limited.( Tikki/Bhalle/aloo bas) Delhi Chaat is only high in Quantity and price not in taste and variety.

Delhi Chaat is only high in Quantity and price not in taste and variety.

The other version was somewhere in UP. When cholera, a water born disease spread Hakim Ali the royal doctor of the court of Shah Jahan, advised a remedy, a tangy concoction of tangy and spicy to be consumed, which eventually led to the invention of Chaat.
Though the concept of chaat is very old in India. And the reference of Vadas, tamarind and puris has been found in as old as in Vedas.
