He should be in The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame just for Replicas, The Pleasure Principal and Telekon. Add to that his influence on Electronic music, Rock and even Hip-Hop . Plus he's still moving forward.

Sort of a wild abandon of the past, of old identities, in favour of just not giving a fuck what people think and reinventing yourself for the now. But it's more driven from a slip into insanity and recklessness than something more positive, giving it a sort of dire promise: it says "I'm putting a brick on the accelerator and don't give a shit where I end up, as long as it's fun!" which is how I've felt for the past couple of years. Remember, when you find yourself in a tailspin, the only way to save yourself is to point your nose down and dive straight into it!
This song aged so well. I remember people at the time making excuses for why this wasn't his best, but I remember the words and the melody so well, and the lyrics resonate so well, I keep coming back. Even if it's just me, I love this track

It seems that I was watching the start of Gary's music taking a turn in sound, a change in genre, no less. And over the years he's gone from strength to strength.

Went from a divorce of a 21 year marriage that I invested everything I had into...six months later I went crazier and thrust myself into a long distance relationship spanning nearly 5 years leading to marriage.... That mean something new for sure? Been going through his RUclips and damn he's got some killer tunes! Biggest reason I loved his older music was due to his voice. He still has that voice and the edge in this newer music blends so damn well!
