Really should have taken the 75mm mountain guns, 50 rounds and smokes at 45pts, slap an artillery leader on and it saturates an area like mortars, counter battery and all
they have no radio though so they're not as good as for example 75mm pack howie in 6th AB

HEAT is a chemical-based round, like high explosive, so it does not rely on kinetic energy. Thus, if the game is modeled realistically, it should retain that penetration across all ranges, but the trade-off is in range and accuracy due to shell's comparatively low muzzle velocity.
Yeah it does work like that in game, every HEAT round has no change in penetration across the range, but in each case it has reduced range and accuracy to other shells

I uninstalled the game after playing once a day. For two days in a row I played Koenig. So I decided to uninstall the game because it's not worth 3,000 hours to reach that level of skill. I wish they would take it easy on the newbies.

This video confirms that axis infantry divisions cannot compete with US and Allied divisions from later DLCs. US and allied divisions such as Dody and BRO benefit from 50 cal spam making Axis air play impossible, 2k range support, better planes, and cheaper infantry. Eugen refuses to address this. 5th Geb need an across-the-board veterancy increase to be competitive.
Yeah its lame, every game I played since Iv had to face Halftrack spam from Allies, its just so uninteresting. Stopped playing, solved my problem. For a game that claims to be historical, making Halftrack a viable weapon to win is very weird to me.

Panzergrenadiers, which are in almost every german division, still beat all of this new western allied infantry, what are you talking about? 5th gebirgsjeager is not a typical infantry division, its infantry are hybrid, capable of all ranges, not the best in any of them. They are too strong for 20pts and meh for 25pts. And this was a bad matchup for them, i ll give you that. Doddy infantry has the same thing, good capabilities at all ranges, but excel in none, but still better than gebirgsjeagers lol.
This is not an axis vs allied issue, its 5th gebirgsjeager issue.
