So many people have given U2 crap for this song/their residency at the Sphere. If you are expecting the same level of energy/vocal ability they had in the 90's, yeah it's definitely not going to be the same. But for me and many others, this residency has been everything. For someone like me who was born too late to see ZooTV live, or people who want to revisit some of its chaotic glory, the Sphere was perfect for that. This was my first time ever seeing U2 life, and it was absolutely perfect.
I have heard nothing but acclaim for their residency at the Sphere, haven't heard anybody giving them crap. It was stunning, and anybody who doesn't think so didn't see it.

I suspect that someone needs to have gone to shows at the Sphere to fully appreciate this particular song. It was above all a love song to the audiences there.
