    It's been some time I don't know if you remember me. I've been in and out of hospital from a car accident I'm better now. I was watching a RUclips video with a gentleman showed leaving Roots in the ground actually benefit your soil. What are your thoughts?

      I leave everything, roots, leaves, stems. I remove only the parts I intend to eat. Everything else returns to the earth.

      I grow them in a greenhouse, fresh off the vine the are delicious. Especially the purple flesh ones.

      Hard one. It varies a lot. Some taste floral. Some taste like a plum. Others vary from sweet as sugar to like unripe watermelon.

      @@wMerlinw The standard Hylocereus type are tasteless but not the Selenicerus and it's hybrids. They are excellent fruit.
