Early Morning Fishing at Tura Beach

Well I set the alarm and headed up to Tura Beach for an early morning fishing session. In this video we used a surf popper for the first time and had some success catching some really good sized Australian Salmon. Enjoy!
What a spot to go fishing. Can't believe the waves & tide. Stunning place to go fishing and enjoy the outdoors.
Love the beaches around here and its the only place I'm catching anything, so I'll be hitting them up a bit over the next couple of weeks.
That was really sweet! Nothing more peaceful than the waves crashing on shore like that. Great catches in turbulent water I wouldn’t think would hold all that much. I’d have stayed there even with no bites for over an hour, absolutely beautiful out there!
It is a different type of relaxing compared to the river in Deni, but I'm with you there, could just sit and watch the waves and chill! Thanks for the watch Joe!

Awesome work Larry! Tura beach coming in with the goods! I’m a bit slack with the surf rod 😂, normally we just go drown some bait at the jetty… apparently the beach’s here don’t have many fish and we haven’t got any off the beach…

Its been a good couple of weeks on them at the beach, just waiting on some warmer water and the flattys now!
Hi Larry, incoming tide + dawn is usually one of the best times to fish. Add to that a full moon this week and you'll be onto prime opportunity this week.
A tip for you, as you reel in the fish, walk towards the fish/waves and use the wave action to wash the fish up onto the sand. Lower your rod so that it's horizontal as you approach the water. You'll get fewer bust offs that way rather than trying to drag them up by the line only.

Nice morning's fishing Larry! Surf poppers are the go for salmon (it is rare for us to see Tailor), I use them a lot in SA and nearly always do well with them, in fact quite often they will out catch bait alone. Colour doesn't seem to matter much either, have caught on blue, green, red and yellow ones. Have a look at some of my SA Port Lincoln vids!

There's plenty to go around :) Really enjoying the beach fishing, going to try a couple new spots this week and hope for the best.
Surf popper down to a set of gang hooks down to a star sinker, is my go to for chasing tailor. Popper catches just as much as the gangs.

It's a busy time of year again but I'm not complaining, it's always good to have plenty of work.
But yeah doing my weekly catch up now and this video to start definitely didn't disappoint 👍

Seen a few just about every session this month, but too far for the GoPro to get any footage. Might need to hit the rock area and just try and get some video of them passing by.
Ha Larry, how about trying this, get a couple KG's of chicken pellets a can of creap coen and mix them together for bearly, get a ear of corn the with a number 8 hook put three fresh con kernels on your hook and burly the water on every cast, the blokes up hear in Stockton breakwall are catching stacks of good size bream. good luck

Its been solid this last month, especially a couple hours before high tide.
I could stare at this scenery for hours. Set up a tripod, upload 8 hours of this and you have a real life white noise machine to sleep to

What do you reckon about beach worms Larry can you catch them around that area.
I know they get a few on the main beach in Merimbula. I'm going to give it a try this next week, might help catch something different than the Salmon!
