Been a good week :) Rock fishing some nice Salmon, and Helco replaced the lure! Heading to Deni for a few days to help out at the shop, hopefully I can get on a Cod while there.

I'm actually waiting on a new reel to put on that rod, that reel has been oiled, its just grinding. Hopefully just another week or so until it arrives.

Thanks Mick, fun session of fishing and watching! The young guy had a blast and they are coming back for the June long weekend, but I'll be in Deni for a few days, so I'll miss them on this time. Tried fly fishing when I was young, like 11-12 years of age with my pops, but after he passed, never tried again. Looks fun, but a lot of work LOL

That's a banded morwong you are talking about, that one Larry caught is a jackass morwong, he's fishing in NSW, there's also red morwong and blue morwong/rubber lip morwong

I must say, haven't seen an Aussie beach that doesn't look like this, even in the big cities. Love the battle with Salmon, always a good time and have setup some fishing with the young man when he and his family return for their next holiday!

I don't mind them, but didn't bring a cooler on this trip, Leigh needed room for her shopping and the groceries.

Bermagui to Mallacoota, might be the most gorgeous stretch in Australia. If you ever get the chance, its worth the drive to visit for a holiday.

That is a great idea, next time for sure. Wrasse are cool because they come in so many different colors. Looks like the first catch was a Wirrah, which I've never heard of, so got some fishing in and learned something new :) Thanks Joe!
