This video was just a couple days after catching a few Australian Salmon in Merimbula with bait, but this time I headed over there for a quick session using just metal lures!
Well done on nailing one a lure. Lots of fun and they hit hard. The Twisty is my go-to lure for Salmon and Tailor.
Thanks and it was the only thing that did work and best of all, Halco replaced the one that was damaged.
Good to see you casting and reeling Larry! Your viewers advice didn’t steer you wrong. Great catch on that twisty. He put on quite the show on that release!👏
Thanks Joe, If all goes as planned, more lure and soft plastics over the last half of the year.
Another beautiful salmon Larry!! Finally you caught fish on lure. Great job 👍👍
Thanks Jun, only about 10,000 behind you LOL
That was cool watching you hammer back when that Salmon hit!
That was fun, would have loved to gotten a couple more with that style of fishing! We'll give it a go again when I get back to the coast.
The Salmon around there at the moment is nuts. Cannot wait to get there shortly too.
All the best, they're even in big numbers in Eden, but now off to Deni for a few days, so base of luck to you.
Well done Larry, great fun .
Thanks Neil! Its was a good week.
Beautiful salmon.. he gave a nice show on the release !.. crazy how there’s so few people fishing at such a nice looking spot.. does it ever get more crowded there?
Oh yeah, I don't go there in the summer or school holidays, just too many anglers.
A short session, but a good'un! Nice fish, on a lure too. Well done, sir.
Thanks, had some fun. Can't count the number of times I've tried with no luck!
Thanks Larry the switch did the trick Well done
Thanks Peter and the good news, Halco replaced the lure!
@@LarrysFishing wow that’s really good, well done Halco
This is probably my favourite spot that you fish.
Thanks, its one of mine too, but its a favorite amongst visitors for sure, always a crowd there.
Well done just a tip as you bring it back in … just give it a little tug? Every few feet Makes the lure look like it’s trying to get away And more alive !!! Cheers
Thanks for the tip Robbo. Some freshwater content coming soon, heading back to Deni this week.
Well done mate, hope to see you throwing lures more 👍
Good time for it with the salmon about, keep up the awesome work, that was good fish for a first on metal 🎣
Been a good week :) Rock fishing some nice Salmon, and Helco replaced the lure! Heading to Deni for a few days to help out at the shop, hopefully I can get on a Cod while there.
@@LarrysFishing Hope you get onto a whale of a greenfish. They are a special moment in any angler's life.
@@LarrysFishing will be good to catch up with your friends in Deni and hopefully a big cod 💪
Hopefully we are going to see some rock fishing content soon then...
@@bushfishncook2128 I'm hoping to get back over there when I return. Went out this morning and got a pencil float to help, so looking forward to giving it a go again.
Well , a new world opens up ! Artificials work ! lol . Watch out Larry , a new addiction
That could happen LOL
Well done Larry. Nice Salmon too
Thanks Brenton, heading back to the Riverina tomorrow for a few days. Hoping to get on a Cod or two.
NOTE - 3:44 you pause the retrieve. Half a crank later, you got a fish. The pause is deadly.
Thanks Andrew, didn't realize I did that, was just trying to get near that school, but I'll remember that for next time.
@@LarrysFishing It is those small things that make a big difference
thanks for share
Thanks for watching, have a good one!
What’s this place Larry.??
Mitchie's Jetty in Merimbula
Nice work Larry nice salmon
Thanks. back in Deni for a few days, hoping to get on a Cod.
When he jumped back in the water that was some of the most bizarre behaviour ive ever seen from a released fish
Not sure what happened there, he did a couple laps before heading back into the deeper water.
whats with the spinner on the baitcast pole
Not a fan of baitcaster reels, but love the rod!
How heavy the wobbler u were using
I believe it was 50 grams.
The Halco twisty is definitely a proven lure
Had a few viewers make that suggestion, nice when it works!
