    I wouldn't be surprised if the "You would have killed Beethoven" line was referring to his deafness, even though he didn't become deaf till later in life, so it wasn't a "birth defect" (the Deaf community does not consider deafness a birth defect, hence why I put it in quotations. This movie, no doubt, wouldn't know that) .

    As someone who has studied propaganda on an academic level, I appreciate Rob's unbiased dislike of propaganda films. Whether they confirm your views or not, propaganda is what leads to people abandoning rationality or dismissing evidence in favour of information that leads you to put your head in the sand at best and turns you into a crazed violent lunatic at worst (see Jan 6th 2021 for that, or the Jonestown mass suicide).

    Fun facts about this movie -
    1. Alveda King aka Martin Luther king's niece is an Executive producer on this movie.
    2. It's being shot in Louisiana and apparently they've been barred from multiple locations including Louisiana State University (though they say it's due to "logistics")
    3. They had several people leave during the first few days as they had no clue of what was in the script (they changed lines without telling people) , found out , were naturally horrified and left.
    4. Both Milo Yannopolis and Tomi Lahren are in this movie.

    I don't necessarily mind a movie on this subject being made, abortion is after all a complex topic with many different, passionate perspectives to explore.
    However these movies are often too one-sided and preachy. Not to mention terribly low-budget and lazy.

    • @Rainbowthewindsage
      @Rainbowthewindsage 4 года назад +7

      Probably because most people who would give it a fair dicussion are also the people who wouldn't make a movie on something considered controversial.

    • @ShadowMoses900
      @ShadowMoses900 4 года назад +10

      @@Rainbowthewindsage I'm not a director, but if I was going to make a movie on the subject of abortion I would have it center around multiple women with vastly different circumstances.
      That way we can see the circumstances that drive desperate women to do something so drastic in the first place.
      On the personal level I am pro-life, but on the political level I am pro-choice. I sympathize with pro-lifers, and get where they're coming from, but I also recognize that keeping abortion legal keeps women safe. Banning things doesn't work. Whether it's abortion, guns, drugs, alchohol etc... All it does is create a dangerous black market run by criminals.
      This was the case before Roe v Wade, and it resulted in thousands of women dying from back alley procedures.
      While I would obviously prefer no abortions, that's not the world we live in. As such, if keeping abortion legal means keeping women alive through the procedure, I would take that over the alternative of losing two lives. Not to mention the idea of the Government being able to dictate one's bodily autonomy is unconstitutional.
      We can, however, end abortion by providing a more supportive culture: universal healthcare, access to birth control, improving sexual education, helping single mothers instead of shaming them etc...
      We need to create a pro-life culture, not pro-life legislation. This is not a political battle to me, but a cultural one.

    I would have to see it myself, but this sounds like a movie made by pro-choice people trying to subversively ridicule anti-abortion films and their audiences. Kind of like how you interpreted Rock It's Your Decision. Sounds far-fetched, but when Jamie Kennedy is involved...

    Omg just looked at the cast list. Mr Loeb, a descendant of the founders of Lehman Brothers must have been shelling out the $$$. I’m amazed Clint and his magical empty chair didn’t Star in this too.
