Imagine if the movie ended with nothing happen to the girl after losing all her friends, and she realized that she was over reacting about Facebook's friend counter.
"She's pale and wears a hood" You know what is sad? The movie's characters are so shallow, that really is the best and most complex description for her character.
With the Brad relationship subtext and the great jokes about Dave bursting into flames I kind of want to see a full remake of this with the whole gang playing themselves.
Yes, that would be great! They did a spoof of bad religious movies, they should do a spoof of bad horror movies next! I trust Stoned Gremlins to do a better one than the horror "parodies" that come out nowadays...
AnonJl1 That was the intention. I really liked Phelous' review of Phriend Request and he is a big fan of Resident Evil, so why not make that reference?
The main girl looks like. and shares a name with his current bride-to-be, and the creepy girl resembles his ex. So Brad Jones ghost wrote this movie, right?
I just keep waiting for Phelous to pop out in his goalie mask with a knife to hold to Brad's throat and say, "Take this, review-breaker." And then he and Brad say hi and go out for Taco Bell.
Russell Hunter Here's some of my favorite quotes from Phelous' Phriend Request Review: "They even do a glitchy distributor logo like in Unfriended but, I'm sorry Warner, I'm impressed with this one..." "AAAAHHHH, SMILEY FLASHBACKS!" "Ma Rina, I was busy friending more people. Oh, do you know Laura Barns?" "Oh no! Ma Rina has turned Laura's source code into the Matrix!"
Someday someone will figure out how to make a good Internet horror movie. The gimmick _has_ potential, it's just that no one's figured out how to do it right yet.

Lord Sneezus Christ Wabuu: Most of these Internet horror movies are sooooooo stupid! Old Man: What about that Sandra Bullock movie "The Net"? Wabuu: That was a thriller and had no supernatural mojo jojo what so ever...
wiki'd the plot after your review. this sounds terribly hilarious. This is totes ripped off from the South Park episode "You have Zero Friends". It's like literally the same plot, until the TRON thing anyway. Great review, guys!
Wait wait wait, let's back this up for a second Brad! Are you telling us that your fiancé looks like Alycia Debnam Carey? *slow clap leading to thunderous applause* You're a lucky man Brad Jones.
That was my biggest frustration in this film to, the supposed message. Cut relationships with toxic or dangerous friends and you'll totally deserve to be put through hell and have your life ruined. What the hell.
When I glanced at the thumbnail I thought she girl was Jesus and that this was some kind of Christian movie that uses social media references to appeal to "the youths"
You said it was made by a German company? That's interesting about their stylistic facebook names- "Ma Rina." I spent a year abroad in college in Germany and I noticed very many German teenagers exist on facebook in the same stylistic names: Matthew is"Matt Hew", Laura is "Lau Ra", Damaris is "Da Maris", etc. That's probably derived from German internet culture.
Film Brain only mailed you the DVD? Fuck that! I actually went through the effort to import this shit on blu-ray! ...yeah, my collection is dodgy as fuck.
This movie is so unremarkable, I forgot about it each time I've seen a review on it. I saw Film Brain's review on this, forgot about it. Saw Phelous's review on it, forgot once again. And I now I see this video, and all the memories come rushing back.
When it comes to European film companies setting films in 'Murica (particularly German and British companies) the flag saturation is a kind of in joke we've had since Winston Churchill the Hollywood Years (which would make a great Snob episode by the way. Christian Slater plays Churchill as a 30 year old US Marine with a token black buddy called Denzel Eisenhower.)
Honestly you guys' random parody skit ideas involving Dave setting himself on fire and Brian overreacting to Brad being at home but not alone makes me wish you would do a whole parody version of it XD
There is a horror movie called Steel Trap that was written in German and translated back into English and stars American actors. The dialog is priceless.
Ghost witch possessing popular Laura would have been a sound ending. or, better, go the VVitch route, Laura follows in ghost witchs footsteps, also suiciding and becoming a ghost witch. a clear coven formed.
This really hasn't come out in the U.S. yet? People on Tumblr have been making gifsets it seems like forever...I totally thought it had already come and gone.
If this video isn't used as a reference point for a future Midnight Screenings movie .. I'll understand because these guys have lives. But they detailed a fun horror version of Midnight Screenings where Dave accidentally lights himself on fire "Dave, No! You're covered in gasoline!" And then seeks revenge.
I thought this was a Patreon request when I saw the title, I had no idea they were releasing this in theaters this late. Most people who are interested will have seen it already, or will have noticed the terrible rating attached to it.
I only have 68 friends on facebook... because I only accept friend requests from people I actually know. And even then, I haven't logged onto facebook in over 2 years because social media has gotten kinda scummy and I'd rather not be a part of it. I also eat cereal for dinner...
The only reason I know this movie exists is because of Matthew and Phalen's reviews and because I'm familiar with the main actress, Alycia Debman Carey
Honestly, it kinda sounds like every other German horror movie I've seen in the early 2000 and in the 90's, most of them were either shit or would be a strange mixture between two movies. Like, there was this one movie which was like a mix of the Ring and Omen, where the Ghost kid who you'd thought wanted revenge because he was left to drown, turns out to be the child of Satan.
Only 5 minutes in and I have to say 1) I'm guessing "The Ring for the Snapchat generation" was used because Snapchat is more popular with teens today and many may have Facebook accounts but Facebook is a little more relevant with adults now rather than teens(all based off what I notice with my tween/teen nieces and their friends). 2) LMAO The German company that made this film probably insisted on American flags everywhere because other countries say Americans LOVE to put up American flags everywhere. It's kind of true. LOL Some places in America have flags everywhere but other places it's not as common. Not to mention Michael Bay films have American flags plastered everywhere and Bay films are very popular internationally. BTW Some of my favorite Midnight Screenings are Brad and Brian at a crappy horror/thiller film.
Main character in Friend Request is named Laura.
The "ghost" in Unfriended is named Laura.
Brad's fiance is named Laura.
COINCIDENCE?!
JumpNShoot He hopes...
No. Its La ura.
Ive seen Phelous’s review.
I THINK NOT
Imagine if the movie ended with nothing happen to the girl after losing all her friends, and she realized that she was over reacting about Facebook's friend counter.
Brad! Brian! Watch out! There're ghosts behind you!
Brain's gf upgraded her hiding spot
No, it's "There's g-g-g-g-g-g-ghoooooooooosts behind you!!!" XD
"Worse! INTERNET GHOSTS!"
"She's pale and wears a hood"
You know what is sad? The movie's characters are so shallow, that really is the best and most complex description for her character.
Brad and Brian reviewing shitty horror movies is my favorite RUclips review sub genre
Robbi Ramirez Me too! And some kinda cameo from Phelan and Allison.
It's The Ring for the Rings generation
What!? What is this? A Midnight Screening of Friend Request? Hope Phelous isn't in the back seat of Brad's car.
Tommy Deonauth's Archives Who else do you think is under the tarp?
Tommy Deonauth's Archives I read the first part as Barry Burton from Resident Evil.
Tommy Deonauth's Archives it's both phelous and film brain underneath that tarp! 😳
Kitty Graveyard Oh yeah! I forgot that Film Brain tackled Friend Request in his Projector Review. Thanks for reminding me.
AnonJl1 That was the intention. I really liked Phelous' review of Phriend Request and he is a big fan of Resident Evil, so why not make that reference?
The main girl looks like. and shares a name with his current bride-to-be, and the creepy girl resembles his ex.

The Cinema Bizarro That'd be nice.
Phelous comes out in a rain coat and a bloody hook and demands when he wasn't invited to see nut job 2.
Ooooooh. Nice
I saw Phelous's review of this and then couldn't stop laughing when I saw the trailer.
Russell Hunter Here's some of my favorite quotes from Phelous' Phriend Request Review:
"They even do a glitchy distributor logo like in Unfriended but, I'm sorry Warner, I'm impressed with this one..."
"AAAAHHHH, SMILEY FLASHBACKS!"
"Ma Rina, I was busy friending more people. Oh, do you know Laura Barns?"
"Oh no! Ma Rina has turned Laura's source code into the Matrix!"
So was the "Bri an" phase before or after the slaver phase?
Phelous vs Brad deathmatch over fear.com
42Nonsense feardotcom.com
The dingo version
42Nonsense Feardotcom.com is a masterpiece compared to Phriend Request.
you mean Feardotcom.com
which is now a british hooker service...wierd
I love that Brad is just casually drinking a bottle of Crystal Pepsi
That's the world we live in once more.....and it's glorious. At least for soda
Someday someone will figure out how to make a good Internet horror movie. The gimmick _has_ potential, it's just that no one's figured out how to do it right yet.
I feel like most "lonely weirdo" stories ignore the very true statement Brian said, weird kids find other weird kids.
Brad likes fear dot com.
Ah that wonderful era of early 00s internet-based horror movies. Fear.com, Cry Wolf, Halloween Resurrection... classic
+full metal

+Suissenot
Very confusing.
doesnt an unlisted video change its upload date if you switch it to public?
it could be this was a paetron thing
Nobody's perfect...
It's the Muppet Show with your favorite Midnight Screenings reviewers, Kermit and Fozzie Bear! Yaaaaaaaayyyyy!!
I liked the gimmick to Unfriended, but I hated the story to it. There were so many cool attempts to make a good twist and the film took NONE of them.
This movie here in Italy has the subtitle 'Death Has Your Profile'. More like Boredom.
Congrats on that engagement Brad - when did it happen?
Tomorrow
Bennett Solomon next year tomorrow
First time i heard about the engagment. He didnt even announce it on twitter.
I saw him mention it in a comment during one of the Sex and the City reviews regarding a comment about Brad's girlfriends appearing in his videos.
I’ve seen this movie before. It was called Unfriended. One of the main characters was even named Laura.
This movie is like two years two late in regards to facebook's relevancy
Lord Sneezus Christ
Wabuu: Most of these Internet horror movies are sooooooo stupid!
Old Man: What about that Sandra Bullock movie "The Net"?
Wabuu: That was a thriller and had no supernatural mojo jojo what so ever...
Two? More like 9 or 10. The Social Network was at least 2 years too late.
Facebook is still relevant dumbass
Not saying it's irrelevant but it hit peak "freshness" 10 years ago. Nobody cares now.
it's still relevant if you're a middle aged suburban mom
"Weird kids find weird kids"
Story of my life.
It's pretty great.
Most of the time.
0ButterBall where can i find some
Why theres so many ghosts in the back seat?
You expect them to walk? You know ghosts don't like exorcise.
Ghosts can’t do it. 😏🤨
I remember Phelous's review of this.
Dj Quinn It's still on RUclips. I've watched it multiple times and I consider it one of his finest reviews out there.
I've wanted you to watch this ridiculousness for ages! I'm so glad it's finally happened.
Congrats on the engagement, Brad.
Man, my girl Alycia Debnam-Carey is in this, really sad to hear its bad, I feel she is a good actress and deserves a chance
She's mine!
Was there more American flags than Bay's Transformers?
wiki'd the plot after your review. this sounds terribly hilarious. This is totes ripped off from the South Park episode "You have Zero Friends". It's like literally the same plot, until the TRON thing anyway. Great review, guys!
Remember ghost in the machine? Man. I miss that movie. It didn't get internet ghosts right, but it had fun with it and I had fun watching it.
Wait wait wait, let's back this up for a second Brad! Are you telling us that your fiancé looks like Alycia Debnam Carey?
*slow clap leading to thunderous applause*
You're a lucky man Brad Jones.
so it's Cyberbully but with ghosts?
coolboyyo654 But With Sharks!
Well, they released this picture as an R and it is making no money. Surprise, surprise. Thanks for the video.
love that friday the 13th vhs T-shirt.
I bought one short sleeve and all black. Washed it now it’s kinda small. 😬
That was my biggest frustration in this film to, the supposed message. Cut relationships with toxic or dangerous friends and you'll totally deserve to be put through hell and have your life ruined. What the hell.
Did phelan do a review on this?
Squiggly Kinkle I believe he did.
Yep, he did. Another channel, Creepskates, has reviewed it too.
Film Brain was the first one to review it two or three years ago, which is why Brad has it now.
+SpiderSlayerz Actually he reviewed it last year.
This film was released everywhere except the U.S. over the course of 3 years.
You said "German film company" and mentioned it still having all american actors.
Uwe Boll didn't have anything to do with this, did they?
Brads getting married again?! Groovy and conBradulations!
IG121gigawatts Was that comment made of paper? Cause it was TEARABLE! 😂
Congrats on the engagement!
When I glanced at the thumbnail I thought she girl was Jesus and that this was some kind of Christian movie that uses social media references to appeal to "the youths"
Dragonhammer Soulbreath If only...
That would have made such a great "So Bad Its Good" Pureflix movie idea that Brad could have made a Cinema Snob review about.
Is that a 'Put her in a bra' shirt?
Bbrown17 - I think we all know the answer is "Put Her In A Bra!"
Put her in a Brad Jones video
Clearly Brian enjoyed the "My Stemother is an Alien" episode of How Did This Get Made.
I smiled so big when i saw that. HDTGM!!
You have a fiance, Brad? That's great! Congratulations to both of you!
I find it hilarious in all the situations they explain Dave dies
You said it was made by a German company? That's interesting about their stylistic facebook names- "Ma Rina." Brian's cap matches his t-shirt (that color-coordinates him with Brad's cap) so well I'm sitting here no joke enjoying it.
Friend Request Is Out In U.S. September 22, 2017 But This Movie Was Out In The U.K A Year Ago. Its Out On Dvd & Blu-ray Now
Film Brain only mailed you the DVD?
Fuck that! I actually went through the effort to import this shit on blu-ray!
...yeah, my collection is dodgy as fuck.
GasmaskAvenger Film Brain would've sent him the Blu-ray.
Bastard Film Brain probably sent him the DVD.
Fuckin' Bastard Film Brain.
GasmaskAvenger This isn't even worthy of digital streaming. Why should there be a Blu-ray, the best format of our time?
ajmrowland Just be glad there will never be a 4K UHD of "Friend Request".
"3 things. That sounds terrible. And two - this has nothing to do with snapchat!"
Well...you tried.
Space Marine
He said "two things"
Space Marine he said 2 things genius
yeah u rite. But cut me some slack, it's 1 in the morning
Space Marine
Here're some slack, do you like end pieces? :P
Unfriend, block, dont @ me.
Come back as a ghost. Im waiting 😏
Friend Request? From the tiny screen shot, I was hoping it was a Christploitation movie with Jesus asking someone to add him on social media.
There is some new show or movie called "God Friended Me" that I've been seeing billboards for.
Fiancé? Wow! Congrats Brad!
You could have just asked Phelous about this and saved yourselves the insanity.
Like the "How Did This Get Made?" shirt...
Good to know Brad's Crystal Pepsi game is still going strong!
You really should thank Matthew for sending you the DVD since if he didn't you'd have to watch it in the cinema!
Friend Request sounds like a prequel to Unfriended. Sorry for the bad joke.
This movie is so unremarkable, I forgot about it each time I've seen a review on it.
I saw Film Brain's review on this, forgot about it. Saw Phelous's review on it, forgot once again. And I now I see this video, and all the memories come rushing back.
PHELOUS DID I...hey Brad and Brian episode plus 15 🌟

Christian Slater plays Churchill as a 30 year old US Marine with a token black buddy called Denzel Eisenhower.)
Is it only coincidence that around the same time this movie's is supposed to come out, Ingrid Goes West is also coming out.
its crazy that this movie still isn't out
Isn't this already reviewed by Phelous a few years ago? Just as bad as Unfriended.

"Caligula reincarnated as the Internet"? Why hasn't someone done this yet? Film it like a Joe D'Amato film and we're good to go.
This really hasn't come out in the U.S. yet? People on Tumblr have been making gifsets it seems like forever...I totally thought it had already come and gone.

Brad rocking that sick F13th raglan from Studiohouse
So, the second they started describing the plot it hit me like a truckload of bricks that I'd seen a review of this before.
Okay, that shirt Brad has? I've seen it on one of those cool horror pin sites, like Cavity Colors or something and I still want it.
I thought this was a Patreon request when I saw the title, I had no idea they were releasing this in theaters this late. Most people who are interested will have seen it already, or will have noticed the terrible rating attached to it.
i had no idea ya were engaged Brad as i don't use Social Media at all congrats man.
Wasnt this movie available on streaming apps ? HD Box and such ? I saw a title like this.....
did someone make a tent in the back?
Mazel tov on your engagement, Brad! :)
I saw the trailer for this and just assumed it was the sequel to Unfriended.
Brad i have loved your reviews for years man. Where did you get that shirt?
I only have 68 friends on facebook... because I only accept friend requests from people I actually know. And even then, I haven't logged onto facebook in over 2 years because social media has gotten kinda scummy and I'd rather not be a part of it.
I also eat cereal for dinner...
The only reason I know this movie exists is because of Matthew and Phalen's reviews and because I'm familiar with the main actress, Alycia Debman Carey
I forgot this movie even existed
Wudda been great to get phelous' input on this
If only there was a video of him reviewing it :P
Stoned Gremlin Productions congrats on getting engaged brad 🙂
Wtf - why aren't that one guys' nails painted?! This is an outrage.
A lot of films are shot in Vancouver for tax benefits
Wait, fiance? I must have missed that, congrats Brad!
Seeing the thumbnail and the title of this vid, I actually thought this was a sequel to Unfriended.
I'M FACEBOOK FRIENDS WITH A GHOST!!
Congratulations to you and Laura! What wonderful news!!
Are you guys doing a midnight screenings for the Death Note movie on Netflix?
Honestly, it kinda sounds like every other German horror movie I've seen in the early 2000 and in the 90's, most of them were either shit or would be a strange mixture between two movies. Like, there was this one movie which was like a mix of the Ring and Omen, where the Ghost kid who you'd thought wanted revenge because he was left to drown, turns out to be the child of Satan.
It wasn't until later into the review that I realized... I've seen this movie, too! Holy sh*t, what's going on!?
Only 5 minutes in and I have to say
1) I'm guessing "The Ring for the Snapchat generation" was used because Snapchat is more popular with teens today and many may have Facebook accounts but Facebook is a little more relevant with adults now rather than teens(all based off what I notice with my tween/teen nieces and their friends).
2) LMAO The German company that made this film probably insisted on American flags everywhere because other countries say Americans LOVE to put up American flags everywhere. It's kind of true. Mel Brooks' can see the future. We now have "future cassettes"
I dig Brad's shirt!
Congrats on the engagement! :-D
Wait what?
Congratulations
Phelous already warned us that this movie is a POS.
Yay! I was waiting for them to see this!
