    bought one new off the truck in early 84 Canada in my mid twenties. i still consider this , the GPZ750 turbo and the Katana 1100 of the same years to be the hottest style bikes ever built. current bikes look like swollen blisters or insects rather than Lamborghinis or F15 fighting machines, the way high end sportbikes should look

    woah very handy these videos. I have the same bike version and the same scheme. Unfortunatly I got crash with it... but I'm working on it again to redo the same bake.

    Awesome job! Loving those stickers, looks like a lot of detailed work - how can I get a set of those??

    • @projectmoto9089
      @projectmoto9089  3 года назад

      I don't think you can buy a full set anywhere in the world, i made my set myself and had them printed. It was expensive though.

      @@projectmoto9089 The full set are available on Ebay for 38 dollars

      @@lostpath1 that's great, none were available when I did mine. They are probably growing in popularity!

    Any idea what happened to the actual bike from top gun? I googled it and there’s no information available. Maybe it was crushed and scrapped? 😱

      I really don't know. There were two bikes made for the film. Neither had Kawasaki logos on them as Kawasaki would not provide the bikes for free. I wonder if they are in a barn somewhere.

    How much did you pay for the bike and the whole modifications to make it looks like from the Top Gun movie?

    i want to do the same here in australia - do you have the paint codes? Also would be interested in a set of decals!

    • @projectmoto9089
      @projectmoto9089  6 лет назад +1

      HI Ozshark, the paint code for Firecracker red is B1 the black, is just a black basecoat... all covered in 2K lacquer. The decals might be expensive with the postage!

      Project Moto is it possible to get the files for the decals?

    Looks awesome mate, how long did the project take.? Would like to see progress photos if any. I guess she's strictly sunny sunday riding hey. I also have an A2 GPz 900 which is an on / off project for me, but I've now got it to about 90% now. Have you always wanted one of these or re living a past memory. Ride safe, cheers steveo.

      Thank you Steve. The bike didn't take me that long. I think I bought it in January this year (2018)... but I have put in 100's of hours in a short time. Yes, i've always wanted one. I've had 28 different bikes, but because I was 16 in 1986 I always had very fond memories of the GPz's.
