    Mine comes tomorrow. You know you're getting old when you get excited about an air duster....
    Also when you were dusting the 12" fan, I felt that.

    Just got this thing and it is extremely powerful.
    Considering the price Its really solid and feels sturdy.
    I was extremely surprised to learn it was made in china.
    I don't use compressed air very often but with this I find myself cleaning my pc much more often because of how easy it is.

    Thanks for the review, it was very helpful. I had read, however, that there are two speeds. Knowing the difference between those to power settings is vital for me before putting out $75 to buy one. Everything else you covered was great, I especially appreciated the toys and legos on the table, that was very helpful to see the force for how I'd be using it.

    • @cgstech5657
      @cgstech5657  3 года назад +1

      Yes the duster has two speeds, low and high. There is a difference but the device doesn't have like a "soft" setting. its pretty strong on both.

    • @Urbanmoon
      @Urbanmoon 3 года назад

      @@cgstech5657 Thank you for the clarification! I've seen on another video it's pretty powerful (and noisy) for both. I don't think for my purposes it'll be good BUT it sure looks great if you're cleaning a lot of other things like computers, and, by the way, we have the very same vacuum cleaner! Thanks for putting this together.

    This is nice but... how well do the friction fit attachments stay on? Would be afraid of attachments getting flown off and into sensitive equipment damaging them.

    If you want to regulate the airflow, use a variac. (In other words if it's too powerful.)

      Hi, not sure what you mean. The duster is corded. The person who posted that review on amazon was probably an international buyer and needed a different power plug. In that case they would need a power plug adapter.

    This vs Datavac, what's best bang for the buck?

    • @chaslinux
      @chaslinux 2 года назад +1

      At work we have a DataVac Pro MDV-2TAC. The main advantage of the DataVac Pro MDV-2TAC is that it sucks and blows, both vacuum and air compressor, and it includes a decent hose for getting deeper into systems. We bought ours for around $350 CDN several years ago (from a company that doesn't exist anymore). The DataVac is made of metal, so it's a bit more durable. (I believe the smaller handheld DataVac is also made of metal). One of the benefits of the more expensive DataVac Pro MDV-2TAC is also a drawback: Over the years that nice long hose ended up all duct taped up, and finding another is a bit of a PITA. The DataVac Pro is great at blowing, but we found the suction really wasn't equal, it wasn't as good as we would have liked it to be. I bought the Xpower A-2 Airrow Pro for home use and I was really pleasantly surprised. I bought my Xpower A-2 Airrow Pro for $59CDN (on sale from $79CDN). It was $40CDN cheaper than the handheld DataVac. While I would have preferred a metal body, as CGS Tech mentions the plastic is durable, and the unit has enough weight that it feels pretty solid. What surprised me the most about the Xpower A-2 was the strength of the compressor. There are 3 settings: II high, off, and I low. I found the low setting was more than enough for cleaning inside the PC. That said, no amount of blowing was going to clean the dirt completely off fans, which needed some brush work to loosen dirt. Given that I've used the larger more pro DataVac I'm not sure I would buy the handheld now that I know the Xpower is more than enough for the job. That said, if I was buying for a shop where multiple people were going to use the compressor, I'd go with the metal DataVac because I know someone is bound to drop it.

    One can is not enough for me so I usually use 2-3
    Ona can cost me ~4$ here where I live
    I paid ~ 37& for A-2 on amazon
    Even if I only cleaned my computer every 2-3 months it would still be worth it
