dear Ms. Hyun, may I ask if all of these three paintings are wet on wet? The last one: white rose, did you wet the paper background wet before you draw the white rose? I did not see you wet the paper for the last one, so I tried dry, but my colors did not flow as beautifully as yours. :(

When I add paint to wet leaf it spreads all the way to the bottom of the petal it doesn’t stay up at the top like yours. Can you help me with this please?

Too much water.. either on paper, in paint, or on brush. Also some brands of watercolor flow further than others. She typically uses Holbein which is known to have low flow.

    • @Paintinghyun

Hi Carla! If there is a lot of water on the paper and it flows down, wait for about 10 seconds and then dab the brush on a paper towel to slightly dry it and then paint on the leaves. Most people struggle with controlling water. If you compare and paint the amount of water on the paper and on the brush a few times, you can find out the way. Good luck!!🤗
