I'm excited for you - on a story-writing journey! That can be lots of fun! I'll be interested in following your path. I always enjoy hanging around and seeing what cool things you're up to! Favorite childrens stories.... wow. Well, most of mine were old, old ones, and fairy tales. As I got older I read more mystery books, but that's probably outside the "children's" demographic. I did enjoy Dr. Seuss... nothing astounding, I'm afraid! I wish you steadiness on your journey and I'll be cheering for ya!

Hello again Chi-Chan! It’s such a surprise to see 2 videos this Thursday.
It’s such a well put-together process for people who would like to pursue this goal of publishing their children’s book. I actually didn’t think much about the process or systematic steps in doing research like visiting library, understanding targeted age-group and such. I feel that I may benefit a lot from this series!
I really like that imaginary creature “Creativity”… reminds me a bit of a baby Godzilla, or the Bubble Bobble dragons :) And the quick recap, the beaver wearing a cap holding a pencil is so cute.
Can’t wait for the next video Chi-Chan, and thanks again for being so sweet and sharing your process.

@@ogawachikako LOL Somehow I was guessing that it was a mistake. I mean, it's unusual for any content creator to roll out multiple videos at the exact same time. It's okay Chi-chan, I'll always be supportive, and I am sure all your viewers are too. The lighting and the editing are very very well done!

Oh, I know the monster in the book but I have never checked the story! Now I am curious to read it👀
Thank you for the recommendation, it seems like both books had Japanese translation too! I missed that completely when I was a kid! Now it’s time to check hehe 😉

on making picture book process number 1
omg 2 videos? 👀 I only found out from the comments haha (thanks aleks)
that's a cute story! but I felt a strong sense of loss but that it was also okay
maybe that's as far as you've gotten because that's actually the end?
like if the middle was: the kid playing in the woods near grandma's house - but left their scarf behind - and creativity stayed with the scarf as it got cleaned - time passes - the scarf belongs to the now grown girl whose daughter is playing at great grandma's house - and finds her childhood scarf while doing laundry?
There were so many great tips in this video!

Wow, I really liked the idea you brought up about the scarf! 🤯
I'm tempted to use this idea, haha.it's so beautiful!
I’m still working on the ending...maybe the girl could be me, and I’m still looking for an answer....Uuuum...😕
I made another video a month ago for the day when I might not feel creative enough to record, but now I don’t have the safety net to skip, haha. So that means I’ll have to work harder😅💪

      @@ogawachikako I'm happy you like it ✨
Whichever version you use I'm sure it will be great!
btw just to be clear I'd be happy if you used it because then I'd get to see more of your art haha
maybe she's you! maybe she's a random person who keeps losing her scarf and you find it on a run, say hi to creativity, and return her scarf to her house 😂
I'm sure creativity will always come back to you; no matter which path you take!
maybe that's how you could fill in the safety net
a video on creating little safety nets or pick me ups like leaving a kit kat in a jacket pocket for the break in between tests 🙏

I love watching videos on this! Not because I have been dreaming of creating a picture book, but because I have never dreamt of creating one😮 does that make sense? I find it so fascinating learning about things I don't know much about, making books it's just one of them❤ I'm not sure my favourite children book will be available for you, as it is very Dutch, and I struggle to find any of them here😢 but it's called "Pinkeltje"! and it's about a gnome that helps out in the home of this big human, and goes on adventures and such😊💘 I have been desperately wanting to read them again as an adult, I hope I will again one day!! in the meantime i am really interested into fairytales again, fairies & gnomes, magic, and lots more!
your story is making me emotional, too 😭 as it's quite a personal story for me, too.
looking forward to future updates🥰💖🎃 happy fall & much love!!!

Hi Nads! I thought this video could be watched by people who want to create a picture book, but it’s really interesting to know that you have a different perspective😳
I checked out Pinkeltje on Google, and it looks so fun with vibrant colors and lots of imagination.
I’ll try to see if there’s a translated version available at the library nearby.
The concept of little people helping humans reminds me of The Secret World of Arrietty by Hayao Miyazaki💡
I’m still working on how these stories go. I think I get too personal when I think about the ending.
The girl could just be me wanting to know how it ends... well, let’s see🧐
I hope you enjoy the beautiful fall! Lots of love from my little studio🍂
